Princess Glimmer and the Day of Many Choices: Follow Catra to the portal world (33/?)

"CATRA!" Glimmer cried, and - just a moment before the portal closed behind her lover - grabbed Adora's hand and teleported the two of them into the closing portal.

"No!" Perfuma gasped, white in her face.

"Well then…" Corrupted Catra said, looking at Shadow Weaver with downright gleeful expression. "Seems like we have some catching up to do, mommy."

"Catra!" Glimmer yelled the moment they materialised, but no one answered.

"Where is she?" Adora gasped, holding Glimmer's hand tightly.

"I don't know." Glimmer gently let go of Adora's hand. "Let's figure out where we are."

She summoned an orb of light and they looked around. They were surrounded by crystal, sparkling and bright in Glimmer's light. But at the same time there was something wrong to the way the light fell.

"Brightmoon…" Adora said, voice shivering.

"Brightmoon," Glimmer grimly confirmed. "Or whatever shadow of it we will find."

She started to walk along the corridor, with Adora following her

"Last time I was here, this place was perfect…." Adora said with low voice.

"No, it wasn't," Glimmer muttered, walking with brisk steps without looking at Adora.

"Your parents were still together…" Adora mumbled. "The three of you were happy. The Horde had not destroyed everything… until I came and took your…"

"I know!" Glimmer snarled. "I know what happened. You told me. And I know you will twist it to make it your fault somehow."

"It was my fault," Adora insisted. "If I hadn't looked for you and Bow, Angella would not have…"

"…stopped you from sacrificing yourself," Glimmer retorted. "Which is the only thing your fucking guilty consciousness will accept, isn't it?"

Adora gave her a hurt look.

"Glim, I try to apologise here."

"Well, maybe I don't want you to," Glimmer snarled. "Maybe I don't want to accept that responsibility."

Adora said nothing. After a moment, Glimmer took a deep breath.

"Sorry, Adora," she muttered. "I'm on edge and I take it out on you. Again. Sorry."

"It's OK," Adora mumbled, not looking at her lover.

"It's not," Glimmer sighed. "The truth is, I'm scared of what we will find here."

"Maybe your father…" Adora begun, but Glimmer violently shook her head.

"You don't get it," she spat. "Sorry, Adora, but that's the truth. You have never got it."

"Got what?" Adora asked, bewildered.

"Me," Glimmer said. "You think of me as that perfect, magical girl that saved you from the Horde and brought you to a place full of rainbows and waterfalls."

"That's what happened," Adora protested.

"And you blame yourself for ruining it," Glimmer went on without taking any notice of the interruption, "which was absurd before and even more so now when we met Horde Prime. He made Hordak what he was. He started the war."

"I know that," Adora said. "I just…"

"'Should have made more to stop it'," Glimmer said with mocking voice, causing Adora to flinch. "Sing a different tune for once, hero."

"Glimmer, what are you saying?" Adora whispered, eyes full of tears.

"That perhaps I never wanted you to stop the war," Glimmer said, voice full of self loathing. "That perhaps I never wanted to be the happy little mommy's girl you saw in the Portal world."

Adora stared at her.

"I never got a say," Glimmer snarled. "Neither of us did. I was born into war just as the rest of us. But if I had had a choice… I would have chosen war. I would have chosen all that death, all that strife, all of the Horde piece by piece destroying our world. And do you know why?"

Adora numbly shook her head.

"Because then I could win," Glimmer whispered. "Because I needed a great enough foe to make my victory count. How fucked up is THAT?"

"Glimmer…." Adora tried.

"That's who I am," Glimmer spat. "You think you are bad because you were not enough of a hero. Well, I wanted a whole world plunged into a generational war just to prove that I'm not my mother. How is that for a monster?"

"But you didn't cause the war either," Adora gently said. "Even if you think of yourself that way…"

"You don't get it," Glimmer forcefully interrupted. "This world, this place… whatever it is. It's a place for second chances, right?"

"Um, I guess…?" Adora begun.

"Like, Catra had her little dorm room fantasy with the two of you back in the Horde," Glimmer interrupted. "And mom had the dollhouse idea of a happy family with dad alive and me and Bow as her cute little dolls."

"I don't…" Adora tried.

"Well," Glimmer shot back. "We're here. We are in the portal world version of Brightmoon. What do you think my messed up wish fulfilment looks like?"

She more or less dragged Adora into the throne room, glaring at the short figure who sat on the throne, regarding them with an amused expression.

"My, my, my," Evil Queen Glimmer said from her throne. "What do we have here?"

the effin horde dynamics

(I am terrified of losing my drafts like last time, so I wrote everything in google docs and pasted it here, so I’m sorry if the formatting is off)

Okay, so the Horde right? The Fright Zone? In place of finishing the next chapter, I decided that I wanted to go on a brain rot and figure out just what I think would’ve happened to the Horde under Adora’s supervision in this AU. And I think it’s pretty cool so I’m going to share it.

So we all know what the horde was like pre-Adora gaining control, it’s just what you’d imagine Horde life would be like throughout the show. No education of the outside world, very little exposure to the outside world, cruel punishments, those freaking ration bars, no birthdays (omg), and so on and so forth.

Alright.

What in the heck happened after Adora became Lord?

Lots of good things actually!

I always perceived Adora as having innate good tendencies, so she naturally knew that some of the things in the Horde weren’t that great. Of course, she got special treatment from Shadow Weaver so her perception of things being bad in the Horde is especially diluted, but I believe it’s still there somewhat.

So basically after she kills Hordak, it was stated that the soldiers there elected her to be the new Lord in place of Shadow Weaver This doesn’t mean there was an actual election, they basically just walked into the room and started cheering, which then led to them to kneel in front of Adora and proclaim her the new Lord, which Shadow Weaver disputed.

Okay

Adora and Scorpia: so Scorpia became a Force Captain pre-canon, and since the fic follows the canon timeline, with Princess Prom being the beginning of the fic, Adora would have already been a Force Captain. Because Scorpia was always older than Adora, they met in orientation, and instead of disliking each other, they kinda hit it off. It wasn’t like best friends at first sight, since Lonnie was alive at this point, and I always saw Lonnie as her best friend if Catra weren’t there.

It’s kind of a confusing timeline that I’ve been trying to explain so I’ll try to break it down a little further.

Oh also, I would say that Adora became a Force Captain at around sixteen since there weren’t any “distractions” to steer her away from becoming Force Captain. Okay so at sixteen she becomes force captain, at seventeen is when Lonnie finds the sword and subsequently disappears, at eighteen is when Adora first becomes She-Ra and subsequently kills Hordak, and at nineteen is when the story begins.

OKAY SO WHAT DID ADORA DO

Well, we know that a fight occurred between Shadow Weaver and Adora, so I'd say that this is when she began to strip away Weaver's power. But she just made her second in command without the title. Like she handles meetings, paperwork, and the basic busy work and housekeeping that Adora and Scorpia push out.

Adora and Scorpia have lunch together every day to discuss the progress they've made, and what they should do next. The first thing Adora did was order a bunch of books, and she also did research on Scorpia's family, the Alliance, and stuff like that. This would explain why she wasn't immediately hostile towards the Princesses or even the concept of Princesses in the first few cha[ters.

So she obviously learns about the Scorpioni Kingdom, and she's like oh wait we're on stolen land I need to do something about this. So she helps rebuild the palace or whatever was left in it and decided that she didn't want the younger generation of Horde brats to live in the same conditions that she did, so she asks Scorpia for permission to house the children there and rearrange the way that they learn. There was still some space left so she renovated that and basically opened it up for either more housing or office space/ "I'll deal with that later".

OH HEY

The next part of this post will contain spoilers for previous chapters, possible future plans for the next chapters, as well as a topic that you might want to research if you don't know what I'm talking about because it might take a while to explain.

OKAY

So growing up, I was in love with the divergent series. Lynn was my gay awakening, this is where I became obsessed with psychology and personality differentiations, and...yeah. To spare people from having to google everything, divergent is a book set in futuristic Chicago where society is divided into five different factions, and you take a test to determine which faction you belong to. There are abnegation, erudite, dauntless, candor, and amity. The one we're going to be focusing on is dauntless.

So the dauntless are the people that value bravery over anything else, and they kind of act as the protectors/police (???) of the city. So in my tiny pea-sized brain, I was like hey, Princess of Power, Guardian of Etheria, magical Protector...dauntless??? Okay yeah, that works.

I have no clue if this makes any sense.

Remember a couple of weeks ago when I reposted that one post about the city that had plants growing inside of it and it turned into an urban jungle? And remember when Adora grew plants all over the Horde at the end of the show? That's kind of what I'm thinking of.

One of the main things that were mentioned in the Horde's new dynamics was the introduction of real food, real clothes, better jobs, actual wages, music, and the hydroponics and aquaponics system. While I was planning out the timeline for the show I wrote a little subsection about the Horde dynamics, and what I wrote is that the Horde is more like dauntless now but more corporate.

What does that even mean?

So we know that the Horde has money. Adora's also done with stealing land and killing people. She's like eh not my vibe I'd rather do it ethically (because she knows what ethics is (that was sarcasm)). So she purchases land and imports goods, and basically just strikes deals and wagers with other provinces.

How does this relate to the dauntless? WELL

So the dauntless were mainly stereotyped as being adrenaline junkies, with dyed hair and tattoos and rock music. It didn't matter what you looked like there, as long as you were a good fighter and a good listener, you had worth. Now there were mainly problems with the faction system that eventually led to its downfall, but the core concept is actually pretty cool.

Adora really did think the war ended when she killed Hordak. She didn't know about the treaties or the way the Alliance would've reacted, she just knew she was;t murdering innocent people or stealing land. So she thought she could create a place where instead of hurting the people of Etheria, she could protect them and protect her soldiers.

Now, if this actually works or not, you'll have to read the fic to find out, but this is her immediate goal. She wants to establish a solidified union in order to end the war and bring safety and peace to her people.

I know comparing the Horde to the Dauntless is an outlandish example, especially if you've never heard of them, but it was the first place my mind went that actually clicked for what I wanted the Horde to be under Adora's care so I'm so sorry if it's confusing.

I'm probably going to be doing a character study on Adora and Catra later on, but definitely before the fic ends.

“Well well, if it isn’t my favourite robot, get tired of the icy planes of your snow kingdom and decide to come into work early today?” Morgan laughs at his own humour as you walk around the bullpen towards your desk, swivelling his chair in your direction.

“The coffee shop I go to was closed.” You dump your messenger bag on your desk with a loud ‘thud’. Clearly missing your morning coffee had put a damper on your already unenthusiastic mood.

“So we can be expecting even less humanity from you today, got it,” He shoots you a thumbs up with a laugh as he watches you slump down in your chair with a huff, audibly finding entertainment in your misery.

“I am perfectly human thank you very much,” You shoot him a glare across the diagonal of your desks as you unpack your bag for the day and dump it on the floor by your feet.

“No offence, but I’ve seen more emotional vulnerability in a rock,” You groan internally at his response, dragging the palm of your hand down your face. It was too early to be having this debate.

Any time was too early to be having this debate. Why did people constantly feel like they had to bring up the fact that you weren’t open with yourself? If you didn’t know Morgan was being completely unserious you’re sure you would have smacked him by now.

“I am very in tune with my emotions, you can ask Reid.”

Morgan laughs at your comment like you’d just told him the moon was made of cheese. “Please, Reid would take your side even if it was you calling doctor who the worst tv show to ever air, his opinion is completely biased,”

“That is not true, Reid is very logical in his opinions,”

“Thank… You?” You turn your head at the new voice in the conversation, Spencer glancing between the two of you with a confused expression etched onto his face as he wrings the strap of his messenger bag between his hands.

“Reid. Perfect timing.” You get up from your seat with a start, ignoring the pale pink shade covering his cheeks at your compliment. He chooses to take it as a compliment anyway.

You stop a few feet in front of him with your arms crossed tight across your chest and a determined expression on your face. “I have emotions don’t I?”

“I- What?” He blinks at you blankly in response, your question coming completely out of left field and not helped by the fact you’d essentially bombarded him the second he walked into the office and was now invading in his personal space.

“That’s a leading question,” Morgan drawls out his words with a shake of his head. “Leading questions lead to inaccurate results Ice Queen, you’re a Psychologist you know this,”

“Be quiet.” You turn to hush Morgan with a sharp movement of your hands before turning back to Spencer again, the confusion on his face only growing the longer the interaction goes on. “You’ve seen me display multiple different emotions haven’t you?”

“I- …Yes?” Spencer doesn’t look any less confused as he answers your question, but you take it as a win anyway as you gesture outwards to Spencer with a triumphant glimmer in your eyes.

“There. Proof.”

“I already said Reid is an unreliable source,” Morgan rolls his eyes with an amused expression at much you’re going out of your way to prove him wrong.

“Two sources.” you wave your finger between yourself and Spencer. “That’s majority vote,”

“Biased majority vote,”

“Maybe you just need to accept the fact that you’re not as good of a profiler as you think you are,” You shrug your shoulders nonchalantly.

“Hey woah now-”

Spencer continues to look between the two of you with absolutely zero idea of the context of the conversation, leaning slightly forward to speak over your shoulder to you. “….whats going on?”

“Nothing Reid, you’re fine,” You step to the side and encourage him forward with a hand on his arm, which he follows with no question despite still being entirely confounded at the situation, letting his bag fall to the floor as he takes a seat next to Morgan at his own desk.

“I’m still calling bias, that’s clear favouritism,” Morgan continues to stand his ground as you retake your own seat opposite Spencer, waving his finger at the two of you like a scolding parent.

“What’s favouritism?” Spencer tries to get insight on the conversation, but Morgan keeps his attention focused on shooting at you and not divulging why.

“It’s not favouritism, it’s fact.”

Morgan shakes his head with a huff, reclining back in his chair and crossing his arms. “It’s favouritism…” He was starting to loose his will to debate with you now, something you were definitely grateful about considering you’d now been arguing about your emotional state for over ten minutes.

“Sure sure whatever,” You wave Morgan off with a roll of your eyes, turning your attention to Spencer and giving him a short nod. “Thanks,”

He mirrored your nod with one of his own, eyebrows scrunched together and lips pressed into an awkward smile. “You’re welcome?”

As if countless questions were racing through his mind. Eris’s voice remained flat, though. “And who did this?” Cassian grimaced. “Technically, Azriel and I did. Your soldiers were enchanted by Queen Briallyn and Koschei to be mindless killers. They attacked us in the Bog of Oorid, and we were left with no choice but to kill them.” “And yet two survived. How convenient. I assume they received Azriel’s particular brand of interrogation?” Eris’s voice dripped disdain. “We could only manage to contain two,” Cassian said tightly. “Under Briallyn’s influence, they were practically rabid.” “Let’s not lie to ourselves. You only bothered to contain two, by the time your brute bloodlust ebbed away.” Nesta saw red at the words, and Cassian sucked in a breath. “We did what we could. There were two dozen of them.” Eris snorted. “There were certainly more than that, and you could have easily spared more than two. But I don’t know why I’d expect someone like you to have done any better.” “Do you want me to apologize?” Cassian snarled. Nesta’s heart began to pound wildly at the anger darkening his voice, the pain brightening his eyes. He regretted it—he hadn’t liked killing those soldiers. “Did you even try to spare the others, or did you just launch right into a massacre?” Eris seethed. Cassian hesitated. Nesta could have sworn she saw the words land their blow. No, Cassian had not hesitated.

Alright, come on. If Cassian and Azriel are super duper powerful mega warriors like SJM claims them to be, then Eris is 100% right. They 100% could've spared more than two. But they didn't bother. And then they tortured the soldiers even when they knew they were under Briallyn's thrall. This is just more proof that the Night Court really doesn't value life. Not like Tamlin, or Lucien, or even "oh-so-evil" Eris.

You never have to do too much. Your siren’s tune announces your presence before you enter the room. Gifted with the siren’s stare and the mermaid’s heart. In social settings, you will find many people push their projections upon you, envious of your ethereal energy.

In example, POV: You are engaged in a conversation about a niche topic you possess extensive knowledge of (with your philosopher’s soul lol). The person you’re speaking to is mesmerized, completely entranced by your eye contact.

Usually a particularly miserable, (insecure, mean girl type) bystander who witnesses this energy exchange, picks up on this. They see the genuine glimmer in your eyes and can easily deem it flirtation, flattery, and even worse…arrogance to others. This can create negative clouds of gossip, fueled by your natural mystery.

This lack of clear energy, the child-like purity you possess is a key theme of Neptune. This Neptunian energy makes for a juicy meal for the beasts called Envy and Jealousy.

I believe it’s worthy to note the distinct difference between the two.

Jealousy is anger towards the thought of losing something to another, whether that’s a competition, person, or admiration.

Envy, of course is wanting to possess exactly what the other person has. Envy calls upon an evil fouler beast… the coveting.

Coveting is perhaps one of the most dangerous forms of envy and Neptune seems the perfect victim to a covetous green eyed beast.

Why is this?

Neptune’s energy to its core can be compared to the archetype of Persephone, in my opinion. The paramour to Persephone is Hades.

Hades, God of the Underworld rules Pluto.

Per the mythology, he falls deeply and insatiably in love with the young Persephone. She is pure, loving, and adored. He is the broken protector and she is the healer.

He is scorpio and She is pisces!

Side note: Any couples with significant pisces and scorpio placements… I know you feel this. The PASSION!

However, as it pertains to envy... Pluto rules over these obsessive and destructive energies. Others possessing bad aspected Pluto or Mars… even Mercury *cough* Gemini’s… can be really put off by the grace of an ANGEL.

The obsessive digging of a Plutonian, aggressive courting of a Martian, or excessive gossiping of a Mercurial is inevitable as they try to define you or figure you out.

something that really frustrates me about spop is that we're supposed to believe that shadow weaver is an evil and selfish person who doesn't deserve redemption, but she's literally the only one being useful in s5. in fact, even before that, when she was still light spinner, she was the only person who actually wanted to do something about the war.

Light Spinner: The Guild needs talents like ours more than ever before. Perhaps-- [looks away in thought] No.. you're not ready.

literally she was the only one trying to do something. all of the other leaders just stood by and decided to leave it to the princesses. the princesses, as we've seen, were irresponsible and useless.

why is shadow weaver the bad guy here? i mean, sure, she wanted power. a pretty basic motivation honestly, i don't think wanting power alone is an entirely bad thing. and she was manipulative. which was definitely bad but considering how no one took her seriously, she had to resort to something.

if they really wanted us to side with the princesses, they should have given us a reason to root for them. but no. perfuma was impatient and immature. mermista constantly complained about doing her duty. frosta seemed to be responsible at first but turns out, nah, she's just a chaotic kid. glimmer was also pretty much not suited for queen duties. netossa and spinerella were just the resident sapphic couple.

in s5 as well, everyone was mad at shadow weaver for suggesting that adora carry the failsafe. but did any of them have a better idea? did any of them even try to come up with a good solution? or offer to carry the failsafe themselves? shadow weaver was the only person taking the war seriously, apart from adora herself. the rest of them acted like it was some minor inconvenience and like shadow weaver was just ruining the fun for them.

it's absurd really. shadow weaver is a complex character but everyone, the crew included, treats her like an irredeemable monster. i'm not saying she needed to be redeemed. but she did have a point - none of the other characters were even trying to take the war seriously. you can't blame the only person who is willing to go to extremes for the greater good, if everyone else is slacking off and treating a literal war like a pillow fight.

Stans are so funny. According to them, Shadow Weaver is an incredibly skilled and intelligent manipulator and poor Catra (who is also incredibly intelligent) was manipulated by this evil woman.

She's so awful... until she manipulates Glimmer that is. She's so "obviously" evil, and Glimmer is so stupid and selfish for being easily manipulated when she's in a vulnerable position after losing her mother and being forced to grapple with that grief (and her trauma) while fighting in a war and unexpectedly becoming queen.

What a terrible person Glimmer is, she's so evil for working with the enemy and Adora's abuser (remember Adora's abuse only matters when tearing down Glimmer!) even though Catra works alongside a literal genocidal maniac.

Don't forget that Glimmer is abusive to Adora for yelling at her and arguing with her! Catra is Adora's true friend and partner, she only aids in genocide and regularly assaults and tortures Adora because she's traumatised!

Longing

Hello everyone! I had a strange urge to write something, so yes.. AU belongs to @shiny-jr I'm just interpreting. This is also my parody to the five stages of grief. Another sentient twst works are here. Enjoy 0/

Upd: I've finally got permission to post this thing! But.. I forgot about it.. and I'm no longer like it.. and it's so small.. but, yeah, let it exists.

Disbelief.

It was the first emotion that began to creep into consciousness with a light touch from just hearing about the “shutdown.” The player just took a break, was busy, preparing for exams, tests, work, whatever. Causing panic out of nowhere was stupid. This had already happened more than once, but..

The hours merged into days. Days became weeks. Only the most stubborn began to count beyond the month. The mistrust and fear began to be felt stronger than before. More and more often insidious “what ifs” were spinning in head.

You were only gone for a short moment. Maybe a little longer this time, but you would come back. You would, except… Yuu turned into the doll they always were. A puppet whose only value was in you, who controlled it. When there was no point in denying, a storm broke out.

Indignation.

Anticipation caused hearts to experience previously ignored emotions and heads to question. What could be the reason? Could something happen in that inaccessible world? Do you feel the same confusion, unable to connect?

Could you become bored with their existence?

Did you choose them, him, over someone else? What exactly made you hesitate? A beautiful singing voice? Looks that could challenge the Evil Queen? Fame? Wealth? What?

Was the effort really not enough to captivate you, to make you pay attention? Place in your heart the desire to stay. Is it really his fault or is it yours?

Grief.

Bitterness replaced frustration. The one that was ripping chest, made him want to cut his own throat open if it would give any peace of mind. If it would strengthen confidence of your return.

When it seem that the empty vessel was about to break, hope still glimmers at the bottom. When the ear listened to every rumor, rustle, speculation, even if it was false. When the one he least want to see looked at him from the mirror.

When he didn’t want to, and most importantly, couldn’t stop. Gave up. Let every attempt, broken hope plunge him into the abyss of despair much deeper than the last time. Getting back on feet became more and more difficult. Sometimes the thought of acceptance flashed but gaving up the most desired thing was hardly possible. Even if the chances that no one would understand and that everything would burn out were higher every moment.

Longing.

Yearning invariably replaces suffocating pain. Very reluctant, denied by all means.

When there was nothing left in tired beating heart - not a single drop - only memories of the time spent with you through Yuu. Then he still did not understand other people's adoration. He thought that this would bypass him. However, like everyone else, he couldn’t resist the eyes, your eyes and no one else’s, looking at him in a special way. As if in the world of colored pixels he was worth something.

A smile involuntarily plays on his face, although he barely had enough strength to maintain an imitation of life. In moments of overwhelming loss, pride insisted: you were not worth it. You were not worth all the torment, all the tears he shed. You were not worth.. but this was a blatant lie.

When everything around him would merge into one colorless heap, when he himself would cease to exist. The only thought at the last moment would be dedicated to you. Therefore, as soon as the news of the appearance of an impostor who dared to pretend to be you reached the exhausted mind, remained only... rage.

Hello fellow sailor moon I just found your blog and in quite intrigued and figured you might find this question interesting

So I was watching Sailor Stars episode 7, and I realised that the sailor moon in the anime has something of a no kill rule in the anime while the in manga she seems pretty OK to kill most of her foes

In the anime, she spears a lot of her villains with the exception of Queen Beryl and pharoh 90, so I was wondering, do you think the sailor moon should have a no kill rule

Personally, I'm not a fan of her killing in the manga, considering she's meant to be the representation of love, so I'm kinda glad the 90s anime gave her the no kill rule

But in your detailed opinion do you think sailor moon should have a no kill rule?

(ftr i think manga Sailor Moon would also have saved an innocent civilian she knew had been transformed into a monster against her will. She refused to kill Hotaru, after all)

The no kill rule is kind of a weird thing thing to contemplate because it's like, does killing the monsters violate her supposed no kill rule? Sure, they're technically made of evil magic or objects or whatever but they're all sentient, and in later seasons they start having distinct personalities (the doorknob one who was bad at fighting, the jump rope girl who wanted friends, ect) but she never tries to talk them out of their behavior the way she would a human foe. It's kind of a convention of the genre.

I think Sailor Moon killing most of her enemies quickly was just a convention of how the manga had to work--Naoko only had twelve chapters and she was told to design seven or more villains to cover a 45 episode season and now she has to fit them in a short space somehow... so having them one shotted is really the only way to go about it. She didn't have time do do stuff like redemption arcs for villains, while the anime did.

It's also notable that Usagi regrets this even at the end of the manga. She realizes that these dark magic abominations were not something seperate from her or the rest of humanity, but lonely beings just like herself. And she grows tired of killing, because with all her loved ones gone there's nothing left to fight for.

As for my ideal, I prefer a mix. The Usagi who offers a hand to everyone, who sincerely believes anyone can change and should be given a chance... but if they've rejected that hand, and even worse, hurt/killed her friends, she'd do what needed to be done to protect the world, with a very heavy heart. She will never, ever give up on anyone if there's even a glimmer of a chance they would change their ways, but she's not stupid enough to die instead of defend.

I do thing the end of the anime where she forgave Galaxia for killing her friends and just totally let her off the hook- without even knowing if Galaxia would bring them back--was a bit too much in the other direction, personally. I wanted to see more anger from her, and i believe she WOULD normally have been very angry (like she was in the manga) if the writers hadn't decided she must be as saint like as possible in those episodes. I'm fine with her reaching out to Galaxia and helping her but there should have also been some anger and a demand there- undo the damage you've done, bring back my friends and if you can't I WILL personally remove your powers and we will rebuild every planet you've destroyed, find every survivor, because you're going to have to work for this."

The Usagi who killed Beryl (and Kunzite!) would have demanded those things, and I don't think her into becoming someone who wouldn't do those things makes her more enlightened, it just makes her seem less like a real person.

(Usagi does save Galaxia even more inexplicably in the manga, but there it comes off as an act of desperation after seeing everyone she knows get killed, it's over, there's no hope, she can't take it anymore, she wants to at least still have one person there with her even if it's the person who killed them, because at least Galaxia understands her deep loneliness)

To be clear, it's not like I think the last episode is terrible or anything. I can roll with it, and I love the scene where Galaxia's shell cracks open and we see her true self underneath. It just felt off, because yeah, Usagi is love, but love can be angry, love can be unforgiving, when the people you love the most are hurt.

another Nimona But Make It SPOP, this time I just wanted to make Ballister a catboy

Tumblr’s read more system on mobile seems to be broken, so I’ll try not to ramble to much. This is basically a Catra and Adora Swap AU — Ambrosius is our “Ra” here. He and Bal were raised in the Horde and he was the golden child, while Ballister was the angsty catboy that tried harder than anyone but was still scapegoated to hell and back. Ambrosius is destined to be “Ra” and finds the sword. Nimona, the same species as Double Trouble, would be more of a cross between Bow and Glimmer and stumbles across Ballister, drilling into him that the Horde is evil.

Bal defects to the rebellion and tries to stop a Horde invasion on a village. Ambrosius tries to stop Bal and Nimona’s evacuation efforts/counter attack and, not used to having a magic sword and magic powers, Things Go Wrong 🗡💪

Nimona’s backstory is still largely untold, but I like the idea of her being reluctant royalty from a kingdom that was destroyed a long, long time ago, with no explanation as to why she’s still alive hundreds of years later. Gloreth is obviously the previous “Ra.” Blitzmeyer is Entrapta, a queen here, and helps Bal with his arm. The Director has to be Shadow Weaver. I’m torn on the Queen — parallel wise she should be Hordak, but her whole thing is breaking away from tradition instead of perpetuating meaningless worship of a long gone individual in a way that denies opportunities to the underserved and curates bigotry. That’s very different from Hordak’s continuing an abusive system before fighting to break away yourself storyline (plus she’s actually royalty, so maybe she’d fit as Angella). (On the other hand, Blitzmeyer/The Queen). IDK or maybe she can be Madam Razz or Lighthope

Pouting is an understatement when it comes to describing how I look.

I mean sure, my lip is jutted out pathetically, a longing glance in my gaze and my shoulders are hunched over in frustration as I bake under the hot sun. My eyes watch closely as my boyfriend hops off of his chair, sending a wink to the moms who are scattered along the far end of the pool. They watch him nonstop, even though they're well aware that he's the same age as their children and that he's taken.

They have zero shame.

But neither does Billy and, boy oh boy, does he love the attention.

Somewhere along the gruesome shift of ours, Billy started to pick up on the little glances that I would throw towards the moms, urging them to stop ogling at my boyfriend and to keep it in their pants. I think it amused him enough because Heather is approaching me now, an annoyed look on her face as she waves me down.

"Billy needs you, told me to tell you to go on break now." She huffs, her gum smacking loudly as I roll my eyes, stepping down from the chair, cursing under my breath as Heather bumps me with her shoulder. I barely give her a look as I make my way around the pool, rubbing my eyes tiredly as I weave in and out of groups of small children.

By the time I make it into the break room, Billy's already hitting with his legs kicked up on the table, a bowl of dry cereal in his hands. He munches quietly, his brows raised teasingly at me as I shut the door behind me, giving Billy a tilted look.

"You're feisty today." He chirps, pulling an annoyed groan out of me as I step up to the table, sitting down beside him silently. "What a drama queen- c'mon, tell me what's wrong." He offers kindly, his bangs falling in his face as he pops another handful of cereal into his mouth.

"You're leading the moms on." I huff, folding my arms over my chest defensively and Billy scoffs with an eye roll.

"Oh you're worried about them getting hurt?" He asks, setting his cereal down to lean towards me, his eyes glimmering with disbelief.

"Yeah, especially when their noses accidentally collide with my fist." I mumble, barely loud enough for him to hear but he does and immediately laughs, reaching out to take my hands in his, pulling me down onto his lap.

"Wow!" He grins, looking up at me as his brows pull together tauntingly. "Jealous?" He asks with a shit eating grin, knowing full well that I'm beyond jealous and upset that the moms don't respect me or our relationship. He knows how much it bothers me that they so blatantly disrespect me and treat me like I'm a child when they treat him as if he's a piece of meat. The fact that he knows that and still has the balls to ask me if I'm jealous or not pisses me off even more.

"No." I grit, ignoring his wandering hands that are traveling down towards my ass, fingers slipping under the material of my swimsuit to grip my ass. He grins wolfishly, leaning up to capture my lips in a brief kiss.

"You're full of shit- you're jealous." He whispers against my lips, pulling me flush against him with a low groan. "Wanna skip the rest of the day? Take me away from all the evil moms-"

"Oh my god! Shut up!" I huff with a grin, hating his teasing but loving the sudden he's attention he's directed at me- finally- his hands and his eyes wandering along the expanse of my exposed skin. My lip tucks between my teeth as I look down at him, my hands reaching up to cup his cheeks, dragging my thumb over his bottom lip.

"But if I shut up, you won't get the chance to hear me explain how much I don't want to fuck those moms and how much I want to fuck you until you're screaming."
