Wow holy shit the last 4 chapters of spy x family have been amazing. Filled with lots of interesting stuff, set ups (some super important shit about anya's past were hinted!!!!!), character interactions, fluffy and funny moments all around. I am so happy to see that Anya got her first hard earned win!And I was scared this manga would die out or something sheesh

((This is me right now btw. I am literally facing the first term finals of this year next week (I bet Endo perfectly timed it). Assume I am dead if you dont hear from me after that.))

the wildfire smoke situation in NYC right now is truly fucking untenable

we have at least dropped from #1 WORST URBAN AIR QUALITY IN THE WORLD (NORMALLY NOT IN THE TOP 3,000) to #2 BEHIND DUBAI

Thinking about how scared Nikolai must've been as a child after he first decided to go against God considering the Viy was a part of his childhood and the only way people ever escaped from it was through God's help... which he was guaranteed he'd never receive after committing to that path

When Evil Lurks/ Cuando acecha la maldad (2023)

In a remote village, two brothers find a demon-infected man just about to "give birth" to evil itself. They decide to get rid of the body, only to end up unintentionally spreading chaos.

This one was WILD.

I had a fantastic time watching it. Every inch of this movie felt disquieting, unsettling, and engrossing.

This is one of those stories that never really gives you all the information. It gives you just enough and I love that for it. At no point does it try to over explain the possession/illness/whatever.

There’s a frenetic madness to this movie that makes it feel like you’re watching the POV character have a complete break from reality at times that I adore.

It is heavy on the jumpscares and VERY heavy on the gore. There were moments where i nearly threw myself from the couch. Particularly the scene where the dad pulls a clump of hair out of his disabled son’s throat. Bleh.

It’s a good one though.
