The lyrics "I've got a fever, don't breathe on me." and "Leave your flowers and grieve." Really scream Edward for me ??

We were all scared of big man Covid but imagine how terrified he must've been when he had the Spanish influenza.

Like he's just vibing one minute and then, boom, he's literally lying on his death bed.

Edward would probably really relate to this song, even if he's into classical; 'Parasite Eve' would be an exception.

Okay, I know what you're thinking but hear me out.

Lyrics "I don't know why I feed on emotion, there's a stomach inside my brain."

Signifies Jasper's gift of empathy and control of emotions.

"My brain has given up, white flags are hoisted."

White Flags were used during the Civil War to end it, a way to show they have surrendered.

Not only does those lyrics signify the Civil War, it could also be a metaphor for Jasper; he's given up that part of his life.

He doesn't want to let it corrupt him any further because he's guilty for playing a part in taking so many lives.

So, in turn, he's put up white flags to surrender and hope to start over; become a better person, vampire.

Alice - Can You Feel My Heart // Bring Me The Horizon

Sweet little fairy.

Didn't deserve to be locked away in an asylum.

I think, in some way, this song is fitting for Alice.

Lyrics "Forgive me father, I love you Mother."

Make me feel like she would've said this a lot, thinking she was a disappointment to her parents for her gift.

"I'm scared to get close, and I hate being alone."

Definitely was something Alice had felt prior and post-vampirism, scared if she got too close to someone she could predict their fate.

But also being scared she would end up alone because people would be so weirded out by her gift.

For some reason I feel like this song definitely reminds me of Esme because of the meaning behind the song.

The lyrics "Well, you built up a world of magic, because your real life is tragic." Truly speaks on so many different levels how Esme presents herself to the world and everyone around, even though how she want's to be perceived is fake and in reality Esme has suffered a lot.

Not only with losing her baby but also she will never be able to have those years of her life back, it'll forever remind her of how badly she was treated. Just like Rose.

What can I tell?

Miso is the personification of the Misery of this world, who became sentient because of the complexity of human emotion.

In the story, he has "forbidden knowledge" about how he's in a narrative and wants to get out really really bad. And the way to get out is to kill everything and everyone so there's no story to follow, and finally, be free.

And he can do it with all the energy of his body, except that - he doesn't have one. He's in a symbiotic relationship with Rared since he can't live on his own, and he can't release the horror because it will kill Rared and by extension, him. (And it's really annoying to find someone compatible with him)

So he needs an extraordinary Heart, Brain, and Soul to make a body! but of course, he can't just go and rip it away he needs permission (rule of the supernatural, cannot enter without an invitation!) so he usually manipulates people to the point of breaking to take advantage and get what he wants (with rared as a medium)

And that's what he is trying to do most part of the story - he's the catalyst that moves the narrative forward to its end.

OKAY HEAR ME OUT. Pls grab a cuppa I need a couple moments of your time to sell you this latest Ty head canon I have-

So I RECENTLY stumbled last week, upon, a podcast I LITERALLY CANNOT NOT think that KitTy would adore listening to.

It's called the "Red Web" podcast (can be found on Spotify, Apple or google Podcasts) and it's hosted by two best mates, where one who explains the mystery/case and one that goes in blind reacting (like the listener). The ambience is soooo iconic and they release an episode every Monday and I think it's a podcast that Ty and Kit may super duper be into. Kit would naturally get into it bc it's a hyperfixation of Ty's and a heavy topic of conversation Ty would wanna talk about. But then Kit would genuinely be into it as well.

A lot of them are internet mysteries and like internet ‘true crime’ stuff, but there are also IRL crimes and supernatural cases they cover. Most of it isn’t well known except for the occasional mainstream crime covered like DP cooper the guy that jumped off the plane claiming he had a bomb on him and was never found again or identified etc. I can see Ty get really invested in their reddit forums, think about the cases, and be extremely knowledgeable about it all.

The Pod has gained so much popularity, that it even uploaded a Lofi ambience hour long pod of themselves that I can TOTALLY see be the backdrop ambience to when Ty is just existing about. Maybe listening in his headphones and what not. for the vibes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7Yaqc94g7Q

Got curious from the recent Anon's ask (and asking as a sort of clarification): so all of the ROs (except R) would want to mate bond with the MC if they are to stay together long term? something about that is pretty cute ngl😭 like thats commitment commitment

Absolutely! A mating bond is one of the most sacred bonds within the supernatural world— something that everyone strives to find. It’s like finding something you didn’t even know you were missing. Of course, none of the ROs would make the MC do it immediately, as some of them wouldn’t do it immediately either, but knowing that it’ll happen down the line? It’s something they all want. I think even R, once they learn what it means, would want it too.

If the MC didn’t want to bond with them? I think some of the ROs would definitely take it harder than others— I.E. Scarlett, as she’s thought she found her bond mate before and, once again, she was proven wrong— and some, while it’d still sting, would have a slightly easier time.

They all could see themselves spending the rest of eternity, or their lives, with the MC, feeling the potential bond so strongly, and they just hope the MC does too.

Luna McCallister/Garmadon: Master of Dreams, long lost Garmadon daughter who?, big fucking nerd. I have no idea when she and Lloyd realize their related but it makes their interactions at the comic store beforehand a lot funnier (for reference: she is about 2 years older than him)

Jonathan Borg: heir to Borg Industries, curious about the supernatural elements of Ninjago, knows about something he probably shouldn't. His place is not fully figured out yet but I feel like he's gonna start wanting to prove more useful after S7 to mixed results, esp bc his sister is way cooler than him

oooooooo it WOULD be so fun wouldn't it!!! I've said this before, but i always find it really hard to fully desi-fy spn characters because i feel like racism is kind of baked into them and to fully purge it and overhaul the whole thing would essentially just create a whole new world which might as well be original fiction yk? but ngl OCCASIONALLY i think about like the ghost stories i grew up with and the settings in India which lend themselves to so much atmospheric writing and i am TEMPTED.

like i saw this ask and i was thinking about thee quintessential Indian Ghost who is somewhat of an equivalent to The Woman In White, except she's a scorned bride. She has a name but she's a North Indian ghost and I'm south Indian and my memory is bad also Google is being unhelpful. but anyway. it's the story everyone kind of sort of hears. There's a lot of palatial remains scattered around the country (we were once 300 separate kingdoms!!), and you hear about how a high born lady who was murdered/committed suicide in these places on her wedding night just roams the palace ground at night and she still wears her veil and her lehenga. sometimes her feet and turned backwards (these ghosts are called mudiyapairi (mudi = bent; pair = leg)). anyway Hindus tend to burn their dead, so usually the way that they get rid of ghosts is like. they either trap them in sacred objects and bury them or they pray them away.

so i had this image in my head. Salmon dean (Desi versions!) just hanging out by the remains of some huge haveli in the outskirts of madhya pradesh. dean's bait, and he's dressed up to the nines in full bridal regalia — the sherwani, the jootis, the pagdi, everything. and sam is hanging out in the courtyard carefully painting the sacred mandala for him to lead the ghost into. dean's really goofing around more than anything when the episode opens and just having fun because he never gets to wear these fancy outfits. and then you know. the hour changes and they start hearing the ghost's anklets (HUGE horror trope in Desi movies btw i sometimes hear the anklets of the women who live next door/upstairs/in the building across bc sound carries weird in my apartment complex when I'm home alone and i get SO SCARED), and dean's like show time. sam starts hurrying up with his little project and they get out like a taveez to lock her in. then dean basically starts following the sound and goading the ghost to come get him and she shows up and she's just basically all anger at this point, there's no humanity left in her. sometimes these ghosts are just women who exist but this one's been doing some murderun' say and that's why these guys are here. so she attacks and he flails around and then he leads her to the mandala by confusing her thoroughly. and then sam is quick with the ritual and she's gone and the air feels lighter. dean is worse for wear bc wedding jootis are the WORST to run in and sam told him not to wear them but he was like NO I WILL I WANNA BE AUTHENTIC and also do you know how heavy the fancy sherwanis are? like you sweat like crazy in them. anyway dean's bitching and moaning about it by the end and sam is laughing but they get the locket they locked her in and they bury it by the river or behind the local temple or whatever (moving water is considered to be purifying in our culture! and temples are built on sacred ground.) and then they're off to the next hunt.

dean probably wears a taveez with his samulet and on the same string. he kisses it for good luck when they start cases. Sam's got a full beard and moustache to go with his hair he literally just looks like some rajput prince. IN MY HEAD. what else what else...uhh....i mean i would make them atleast hyderabadi bc that's what I'm more familiar with but they're both polyglots and dean loves all kinds of Indian sweets and sam is all about the oil-free cooking and they keep a pack of hard jute rottis on hand because hunts can go long and they're the easiest to just eat with salt or achaar spread on them and rolled.

i haven't really thought about like their dad and mom and the whole apocalypse thing tbh but there's some fun myths you could probably incorporate into it!!! SO!!! THAT'S IT I GUESS!!

Okay okay I can't help it. Some initial complaints.

I am... underwhelmed? Lots of things really, but mostly just that. I understand we still have four hours of content coming our way, and it's possible the finale will help me feel retroactively better about the buildup. But for now I'm just... not a fan.

1. The Duffers tried to do too much in one season, imo. It gets stretched pretty thin in places, with established characters fading into the background so minor characters can have their moment. A couple of them stole my heart (Chrissy 😭) but I don't really care about most of them, so it's hard to get invested.

2. The Russia plotline put me to sleep tbh 😆 So far they've played it straight as a prison break story. I don't watch ST for prison breaks, I watch for supernatural and/or creepy sci-fi goodness. Which was completely missing from the story until the Demogorgon showed up. And even then... the reveal was boring! We are all used to Demogorgons by now! Why the hell would you build up the monster reveal, only to bring out another Demogorgon?? Give me a mutated version at least. Or a small army. Anything except "oh it's the Demogorgon, just in an arena this time! 😘"

I would've cut like half of the Russia story ngl. Or you know, done something completely different for added spice. (If you know my theories, you know)

3. Oh and don't get me started on the way Hopper survived the end of S3. The rift was right there, and you're gonna have him just... fall to the floor where Joyce can't see him? That's just dumb, sorry 😆 Give me Hopper diving through the rift in the nick of time, stumbling through the Upside Down, and finding a way out, only to fall into the hands of the Russians. Like, come on now.

4. I was really thrown off by the suddenness of Brenner's return, with no explanation (yet) for how he survived S1 and where he's been all this time. Yeah I get it, he has a scar on his face now. But that's not satisfying to me at all.

Billy's continued absence is painful to me of course. But even now I can't believe the Duffers would drop all the work they put into him, so I'm holding on for Pt 2. Also, I've already noticed a few possible clues that raise my eyebrows.

There were lots of good things about the season, so I'll follow up with a post about those. Right now though, I'm damn grumpy 😆

fighting games thoughts

so im writing this waiting for my bus to go to work but I just don't really have anyone to dump my current obsessions so I'm just gonna write here instead. a few months ago I stumbled upon a tiktok video of the game guilty gear strive, but I didn't pay much attention except the fact that the game had some really interesting characters. now, fighting games were always a part of my life, it was a way of connecting with my father since he really enjoyed them too, a few that really stood out in my childhood were killer instinct, mortal kombat (a bunch of them, but mainly the ps3 one),

street fighter, the teen titans game on the cartoon network website, anyway, I loved them. but sometime in my life I stopped playing them and forgot about it, I always saw people playing mortal kombat when the 10 released, and then when the 11 released, but it never sparkled the joy in my to play again (also this thing was expensive as fuck). a few weeks ago I stumbled upon guilty gear strive again on my tiktok, but this time since I'm working I actually have the founds to afford a game on steam lol. I looked it up about some fighting games and got interested in a few of them.. guitly gear strive, tekken 7 and street fighter 5 or 6. now, even though street fighter has some characters I really loved like chunli, cammy, menat, juri, vega, it didn't really sparked anything in me.. tekken at the time was a little strange to me since the game is in 3d and the characters kinda looked like the sims ngl, so the option i had was guilty gear strive, it had some characters I thought it looked cool like bridget, testament, i-no, axl, anji, zato-1, may, anyway, you get the point, the game was also in 2d, which was a little more comfortable to me since all the experience I had was in 2d games, it had a big community of people that could teach me and play with me, so I bought that, the expanded editions to be fancy~. the game is really fun, it has some really cool machanics and its making me see fighting games in a way I never did before, all I did before was smash as much buttons as I could and hope my opponent didn't smashed the buttons before me, but now I'm starting to understand the fundamentals.. blocking, punishing, countering, frame data and all of that, I'm not good by any means, actually I started the online part at floor 6 and now im in floor 3, but thats part of the process I guess.. the problem is, I didn't stopped searching about other fighting games, and that made me regret a bit not buying tekken 7, the community was a lot bigger, it had characters that looked cool but not in a supernatural way, in a normal fighting way, like xiaoyu, lili, leo, katarina, asuka, eddy, hwoarang, lee, zafina, anyway, the list was gigantic, so after a week of debating if I should buy tekken or not I bought it, yesterday.. I didn't had any time at all to play since im in the end of my semester and working everyday on the afternoon (I'm fucking exhausted).. (I did a pause on writing, this is two nights after I started), so.. like I said I bought tekken 7 to try out since the idea of playing was really cool, and it is really cool, but like I said I don't have any fucking time ri3848u83.. but my semester is now ending and im a little free, so I'm using this time that I have to play Yakuza 0 and guilty gear strive, today I started playing with milia rage and I'm kinda obsessed.. a woman that can fight with her hair? that's peak pop diva queer icon to me.. she's like madonna of fighting games tbh.. I'm now really invested in playing more games, I bought the Yakuza collection on gog cause it was extremely cheap and mortal kombat x + 11 at 90% discount, gotta make the pennies I got as a salary count, after that I wanna play resident evil, I used to play re4 with my cousin he was kinda obsessed so we would play a whole weekend of re4 and tony hawk's lol.. I also wanna play devil may cry which is I game I used to own but never played.. anyway I just wanted to dump all these ideas somewhere and thought maybe this is the most appropriate place? I guess..

i was tagged by @trampledundercas to talk about 8 shows to get to know me, thank you for the tag!

i’ll be talking about the shows in the chronological order in which i started to watch them, to make it easier for myself lmao.

1. buffy the vampire slayer: listen. if there is just one show. one piece of media on this earth, that you need to know about in order to understand me, it’s buffy. this show came out when i was a kid, and i watched it even though i hardly grasped what it was about back then. all i knew was that david boreanaz was hella hot and also buffy + angel forevah. obviously, as i grew up, my opinions changed, and they continue to evolve even now. (for example: season 2 was my favorite season for the longest time, but the last couple of years, season 5 sneaked up on me and is now my favorite season). every time i rewatch it, i get something new out of the experience. the way i talk, my humor, my taste in media and ships, my very being has been influenced by this show. i know in my heart that this will always be my favorite show.

2. dawson’s creek: listen. i can’t really explain this one, except for the fact that it definitely solidified my love for the friends to lovers trope, and the enemies to friends to lovers trope. it is just *chefs kiss* and yes i also watched this way too young but ehh i survived. 

3. the o.c.: i was old enough to browse the internet when this show came out, thus i finally stumbled upon livejournal, and by extension, fanfiction. this was the first show i ever read fanfic for, and also m/m fanfic that i wasn’t looking for but that definitely rewired my brain for good. so. yeah. ever since, i have been permanently online. so there is that! plus - and this is a big factor too - it literally shaped my music taste to this day. next to the national, my favorite artists/bands are death cab and rachael yamagata, who i was introduced to by the o.c.

4. the office u.s.: next to the o.c., the office u.s. was a show i read a LOT of fanfic for at a formative time in life. jim/pam was my jam (hah. the ones who know, know). again: friends to lovers.... cannot get enough of it. i will say this though: once they get together, unfortunately the show did lose it’s spark for me. but alas. season 1-3 will always have a special place in my heart.

5. how i met your mother: i have a very complicated relationship with this show. a love/hate relationship, if you will. those who are familiar with it, undoubtedly know why. but this WAS a great show imo, at least when it went with the flow. again, the enemies to friends to lovers of it all.... yeah. that plus nonlinear storytelling? hellooo. sign me tf up. 

6. the wire: this show was just so good. SO GOOD. it was like watching a novel come to life. it definitely changed the way i look at tv, and made me appreciate long form storytelling.

7. breaking bad: this is purely a case of excellent television. it didn’t change me as a person, perse, but i cannot picture my life withouth this experience. i binged the first 3 seasons when i was sick, in the hiatus before season 4, and watched the last two seasons live. my friends and i had a watch party for the series finale, we baked a cake and made fake blue crystal meth, it was a whole thing lmao. good times indeed. 

8. supernatural. need i say more?
