Ahsoka 71. Twenty-Four Hours to Live   28. Proposal Fic

NGL having a bit of trouble with this one but I think this would have to be a mission fic.

Let's say Anakin's in trouble, sometime after the Wrong Jedi arc. He's been put in a Deadly Trap of the "room slowly fills with water" variety, and it's going to be too high in about 24 hours. IDK who put it together. Probably Maul, to fuck with Obi-Wan, because most of their enemies wouldn't use Anakin as bait in that way, they'd either go for a political hostage negotiation (Dooku), torture them personally (Ventress), or just straight up kill them (Grievous). Maul, however, would leave Anakin alone to get slowly dead in order to taunt Obi-Wan.

However, Obi-Wan can't get away to actually, you know, save Anakin. (Sheev rejected the request, in order to push that wedge of 'Obi-Wan doesn't really care about me' that he's been driving between Anakin and his Master.)

Instead, the clone of your choice is sent, and they find Ahsoka to help (or she finds them; maybe Maul decided to taunt her too? IDK). Rex is a good standby, but in this case I'm feeling like Fives or Echo might be better? Up to the reader.

So Ahsoka and her partner go off on the rescue mission. There are many near-misses. One, perhaps both, almost die at one point or another. There's a kiss and a confession.

They rescue Anakin, barely, and then rest on the floor, all of them covered in water and panting and very relieved that their General doesn't need mouth-to-mouth.

Clone of your choice leans over Anakin's body, grabs Ahsoka's hands, and asks her to marry him.

She's about to say yes, but--

"SERIOUSLY?! RIGHT OVER MY ALMOST-DEAD BODY? AT LEAST LET ME HUG MY PADAWAN FIRST." except with a lot more spluttering and cough, both from the Aghast Horror and the almost drowning.

IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED ANDRE(also welcome back bestie you've been missed 🥰🥺)

Lily: so when Ash was at the age to where she could consume hot drinks(6-7 idk I don't have kids) Lily tried to replicate her mother's homemade hot chocolate mix but struggled and had a meltdown Kaidan had to talk her down from.

Ash really loved the outcome of her experiment and Lily makes sure to have some on standby every Christmas.

Rose: her family is super formal and stuffy when it comes to Christmas celebrations(everyone has to be on time and dressed nice fancy dinner the whole shabang) so on Christmas eve Rose allows Alex to open any present of his choosing(except the big one from "santa" but she keeps that tucked away anyway) and they eat Chinese food just the two of them.

Alex was scared the tradition would die when Kaidan came along but Rose kept it going. Kaidan even offered to spend Christmas eve with his family if it made Alex more comfortable.

Daisy: the twins would always beg them to open one gift on Christmas eve so Daisy started to do Christmas pajamas! She was worried they'd think it was lame but they always ask her if they'll get Christmas pajamas so she keeps it up. Even when they're adults!

Azalea: since they live on the beach it's hard to get much in the Christmas spirit but Azalea always loved Christmas lights(omg you should see their house around Christmas its crazy) so every year since the end of the war they'll drive their little jeep into the city and look at Christmas lights all night.

Jane: never had a proper Christmas being an orphan and all so it's all kinda new to her. So Kaidan took it upon himself to go through every tradition he could think of(and even enlisted the help of his mom!) And as it turns out she really loves baking cookies! The first couple attempts weren’t too successful ^^; but she was never a quitter and kept at it.

And by the time Ainsley(their daughter) comes around she's a pro! So much so decorating cookies is her daughter's favorite tradition too.
