so it turns out that Eddie's full name is actually Edgar Howell Belcher Munson Jr., and for obvious reasons this is his deepest darkest secret. he only musters up the courage to tell Steve two years into their relationship. of course, Steve finds it absolutely fucking hysterical and refuses to ever let him live it down. it takes all of his willpower not to start calling him Howie every time they talk.

everyone always assumes Steve's full name is Steven, and often he gets called that by adults who want to scold him. he tries to hold in a laugh every time because nope, his full name is Steve Harrington — he hasn't even got a middle name — and when Eddie finds out he becomes the most jealous grumpy salty huffy man on the planet for about a fortnight. Steve tries to distract him to no avail. afterwards, Eddie often jokes about "gifting" Steve one of his middle names due to his distinct lack, but Steve always tries to politely decline. Eddie swears he will get his way one day.
