Tumblr media
synopsis - you start seranding them at a long awaited reunion, unaware they hear you
includes - dan heng + jing yuan
warnings - gn!reader, reader is a long life species?, angst, bittersweet angst, comfort/fluff, wc - 825
a/n: thank you!! <3
Tumblr media
dan heng would only have one reason to step foot back on the luofu, to brave what awaited him and that would be to see you again - jing yuan would be there too but mainly you. so when the express took to the luofu he really did want to join them but he knew a much harsher fate awaited him if he ever saw him again, but all he could think about in his stay on the express was you. even if he wasn't the one you fell in love with.
it was a compromise really. during the life of imbibitor lunae, he had become absolutely head over heels for you, the long life species that he wanted by his side until it was his time to be reborn. however he had a slight competition with his fellow quintet member who was also vying for your attention. it seemed more than reasonable for him and jing yuan to come to some sort of agreement, even just letting you choose your lover, but they were both too smitten to even fathom the idea of willingly giving you up.
ultimately, they planned to do the reasonable option and leave the decision to you and you alone but you were a bit indecisive and asled for some time to mull it over. eventually you informed them that you simply couldn't pick and that's when jing yuan announced that he wouldn't mind sharing you with imbibitor lunae if you didn't mind yourself - after all it was your decision at the end of the day. you did feel quite 'put on the spot' and you're nerves were starting to kick in but you agreed.
it seemed that was the right decision. it had merely been a week of your relationship with the two of them before it all delved into chaos and heartbreak. imbibitor lunae made a stupid decision in the grief of his friend and willingly would accept the consequences, he just wanted to see you one last time. you never visited him in the shackling prison, he understood and came to terms with it - even when he was forcefully reborn he didn't expect you to visit him and his only solace came from jing yuan who would inform him of how you were doing.
you had stayed with jing yuan ever since and now the express was docked at the luofu, dan heng couldn't help bit indulge himself and see the two of you. he wasn't imbibitor lunae. he wasn't your lover nor a friend but he hoped that you'd allow him a moment of peace, a moment to see how you were fairing after all these years. it was no surprise that he found you in a more isolated spot on the luofu - especially since he could faintly remember a place like this in his dreams. and there he could find you with jing yuan.
it was a bittersweet reunion, if it could even be called that. jing yuan showed some friendly intentions but he knew who it wasn't, and would soon return to his place were his head rested on your shoulder so he could rest once again. you didn't care that it wasn't imbibitor lunae, you knew this would be the closest chance you had to seeing him and this opportunity wouldn't escape. dan heng was rather pleased to know you hadn't changed much and he could practically feel a weight lifting from his chest just by being in your presence, he could also feel the lack of sleep overcome him.
soon enough you had your lover and your other lover's reincarnation rested comfortably by your side. for a moment you could convince yourself that nothing had happened, nobody had gotten exiled and no relationships were destroyed. in this fleeting moment you could cast aside your hesitations to start humming a small tune, you always had the habit of doing so back in the day when you were absolutely certain they were both asleep - you weren't exactly confident with your skills. you could easily lose yourself in the moment and finally be able to really imagine that this was how it used to be.
that would be up until jing yuan woke from his brief slumber to you serenading the both of them. immediately, you stopped and tried hiding your face in embarrassment at being caught serenading them only for jing yuan to stop you. the small commotion managed to drag dan heng out of the first peaceful sleep he had in ages and he was immediately informed by jing yuan that you had been serenading them - your hands flew up to your face in pure embarrassment as jing yuan chucked softly beside you. dan heng melted slightly at the pure idea that you still harboured something to him even if it wasn't him. maybe just maybe he could drop the pretences and enjoy his time with you and jing yuan.

September ushered in a peculiar kind of unease, a restlessness that only settled within the corridors of high school, unbeknownst to Adam. The weight of impending change hung in the air, a feeling that clung to him as he navigated the familiar chaos that came with being a teenager.
It began with a murmur, a whisper weaving its way through the complicated tapestry of gossip. The news was illicit, news that would shatter the simplicity of his teenage years. Adam's ex, Emma, a figure exiled to his past, was harboring a secret that would bridge their worlds in a way he never anticipated.
The autumn breeze carried an unusual tension as Adam found himself standing before the door of Emma's house, a place he thought he had left behind in the remains of the failed relationship. She had called him about two hours ago, telling him that she had needed to talk to him immediately about something very important. He hesitated for a moment, hand poised to knock, before the door swung open, revealing Emma's worn expression.
"Adam," she greeted, her eyes avoiding direct contact, as if unable to meet the weight of his gaze. They hadn't talked in a couple weeks, since they had broken up.
"What's going on, Emma?" Adam asked, sensing the gravity of the situation even before she spoke.
A heavy sigh escaped her lips, laden with the weight of the secret she carried. "We need to talk," Emma murmured, gesturing for him to enter.
"Yeah, figured." He sighed. He didn't know if he was able to trust her after all the lies she had told him over the span of their relationship. This may be one of her ploys to somehow get him back.
He went into the familiar home as she guided him up to her room anxiously and his mind was racing. What could possibly be so important that she couldn't text him, or tell him over the phone?
They reached her room and he sat on her bed as Emma paced anxiously, the rhythm of her steps echoing the gravity of her secret. Finally, she turned to face him, her eyes brimming with vulnerability that he hadn't seen in a while.
"I'm pregnant," she confessed, the words hanging in the air like a storm about to break.
Pregnant? Her words hung in the air for a few moments as he looked for any sign of deception in her expression. But no, she looked like she was about to break down in front of him. The room seemed to close in on him, and he could feel the weight of the past and the uncertainty of the future colliding.
He couldn't even process it. "What?" Was all he could mutter.
Emma's gaze wavered as Adam's single-word response lingered in the room. The weight of the secret settled between them, an unspoken acknowledgment of the life-altering reality they were now forced to confront.
"I didn't plan for any of this," Emma continued, her voice shaky. "I never wanted it to happen."
Adam's brow furrowed as he tried to process the mix of emotions swirling within him. Anger, confusion, and a distant sense of responsibility danced on the edges of his thoughts. His head was spinning with questions.
"Why now?" he questioned, the frustration evident in his tone. "Why didn't you say something sooner?"
Emma's eyes welled with tears, and she seemed on the verge of unraveling. "I didn't know how. I was scared, Adam. Scared of your reaction, scared of what it would mean for both of us. I mean I have school and-and I can't have a kid right now."
The room felt suffocating, the air heavy with unspoken accusations and the weight of their shared history. Adam's mind raced, torn between the desire to understand and the lingering mistrust that had defined their past.
Adam's jaw tightened as he absorbed her words, a tumult of conflicting emotions churning within him. "Scared?" he repeated, a sharp edge to his voice. "You think dropping this bombshell now will magically make things less complicated?"
He didn't want to sound like an asshole but he couldn't help it. All she was thinking about was her future, her life and nothing to do with what his dreams, the ones he's had since he was younger. How could he go into the NHL with a kid and unstable ex?
Emma's tears flowed freely now. "I never meant for it to be like this. I just... I needed to tell you. I can't do this alone, Adam."
He rubbed his temples, trying to alleviate the growing tension. "You should've thought about that before. Now, what? What do you expect me to do?"
She reached out tentatively, as if seeking reassurance in the midst of the storm. "I want you to be a part of this, Adam. Our child deserves that, at least."
He takes her hand and his gaze softens as he heard her voice. Our child sounded so sweet, but he didn't want to go through what she put him through again.
He sighed heavily, a mixture of frustration and concern etched on his face. "Emma, you can't drop something like this on me and expect everything to be okay. We're not together anymore, and I can't just rearrange my life because of this."
Her eyes pleaded with him, desperation evident. "I know, but I can't do it alone. I need your support, Adam. We created this life together."
He pulled his hand away gently, creating a bit of distance. "Support? Emma, you've never supported my dreams. You made me doubt everything I did. I can't risk my future for this, not when I don't even know if you're going to stick around."
As the room descended into silence, the air seemed to crackle with the tension of unspoken truths. Adam's mind, however, echoed with the memories of a relationship colored by manipulation and emotional turmoil.
He couldn't shake the vivid memories of countless arguments, where Emma would twist his words, making him question his own sanity. Her subtle undermining of his dreams and aspirations left a trail of self-doubt that lingered long after their fights and maybe relationship had ended.
Emma's manipulation often took the form of subtle remarks disguised as concern. Every success he achieved was met with a backhanded compliment or a comment that subtly belittled his accomplishments. Her words had a way of eroding his confidence, making him second-guess his abilities. Was he even that good of a hockey player? Was he as smart as everyone would tell him?
She played on his insecurities, subtly exploiting vulnerabilities he hadn't even acknowledged. Emma's behavior manifested in controlling behaviors, whether it was telling him who he could spend time with or subtly isolating him from his support system. The gradual corrosion of his social connections left Adam feeling increasingly dependent on her for validation.
Emma's manipulation extended beyond words or fights; it was their daily interactions. The constant emotional rollercoaster left him drained and disoriented. Adam had become used to walking on eggshells, terrified of setting off another emotional outburst.
Adam found himself grappling with a mix of anger and resentment. The secret of her pregnancy now added a new layer to their complicated history, one that threatened to entangle their lives again.
The heaviness of the past hung in the air, a palpable reminder of the emotional scars that had yet to fully heal. The silence in Emma's room mirrored the unresolved scars of their relationship, leaving Adam to confront the challenging path that lay ahead.
He thought he had ended this relationship for good but now, he truly couldn't leave. Knowing that if he wouldn't stay, she would raise the baby alone and he would live forever with the knowledge of his kid somewhere with her. If they were to be together again, even just to raise the baby, he would promise that he would try to shield the baby from his mother as much as he could.
Emma's eyes brimmed with tears as she pleaded, "Adam, I'll change. I promise. I never realized how much I hurt you until now. I want to be a better person, for you and for our child."
Adam hesitated, his gaze flickering between her tearful eyes and the haunting memories of their past. The room seemed to close in around him as he grappled with conflicting emotions.
"Okay, Emma." He sighed. She let out a sob of joy, bringing him in for a tight hug.

JUNE 11, 2021
──
Summer arrived quicker than either had expected and soon enough Emma was in third trimester. In the sterile confines of the white hospital room, Adam stood witness to the arrival of their daughter. It was a moment of transformation, where the happiness of newfound fatherhood collided with the stark reality of uncertainty. Emotions played on his face, he had no idea how he was going to deal with any of it.
But as soon as tiny newborn baby laid in his arms, all the worries and uncertainty had faded into background noise as he held her with all the care in the world.
In that moment, everything else seemed to fade away. The worries, the uncertainties, the complexities—they all became distant as Adam cradled his daughter. Her tiny features, scrunched face, and the weight of her presence overwhelmed him, he couldn't help but tear up. She was perfect in every way. In that moment, he promised he would never let anyone hurt her in anyway possible.
He felt a surge of love, a protective instinct that whispered promises of care and unconditional devotion. The uncertainty that had clouded his thoughts seemed inconsequential in the face of the profound connection forged with this tiny being.
"She's perfect," he whispered, his voice barely audible in the quiet room. The fragility of the newborn, the embodiment of a shared history and a future full of unknowns, stirred something deep within him. All he knew was that he loved her more than anything even if he'd only held her for a few moments.
Emma, watching Adam with a mix of exhaustion and affection, couldn't help but smile. "She's got your eyes," she remarked, a tender note in her voice. His pretty, big blue eyes. The first thing anyone ever notices about him.
Adam nodded, his gaze fixed on the tiny features of his daughter. "Yeah? Well, she's got your everything else," he added, a gentle chuckle escaping him. The weight of fatherhood settled on his shoulders, but in that moment, it felt like a privilege.
The room seemed to shrink, focusing solely on this new family unit. The soft whimpers of the newborn, the beeping of the monitoring equipment, and the distant sounds of the hospital—all merged into the backdrop of a moment that felt suspended in time.
Emma looked at Adam with tired yet contented eyes, a silent understanding passing between them. The room, once filled with the tension of labor, was now a cocoon of familial warmth.
Emma whispered, her voice hoarse from the exertion of childbirth, "She's beautiful, isn't she?"
As Adam and Emma marveled at the beauty of their newborn daughter, the hospital room's door creaked open, and Adam's parents entered with a blend of excitement and nervousness. His mother, a mix of emotions painted on her face, rushed forward to embrace Adam.
"Oh, Adam, sweetheart, you're a father!" she exclaimed, her eyes gleaming with unshed tears of joy.
Adam smiled warmly, hugging his mother. "Yeah, Mom. Meet..." His words died on tongue when he realized they hadn't picked out a name for her yet.
"We haven't decided on a name yet," Emma adds quietly as she yawns.
"What about Paloma? Like your grandmother. It's perfect, just look at her."
Adam's eyes met Emma's, and for a moment, a silent agreement passed between them. Paloma—the perfect name, a homage to his grandmother, a symbol of heritage and a new beginning. They exchanged a nod, and Adam turned back to his parents.
"Paloma," he said, a smile breaking across his face. "Her name is Paloma."
The decision settled like a warm blanket, wrapping around the newborn with a sense of identity. Paloma, their little dove, had found her name in the embrace of a moment filled with love and the promise of a shared journey ahead.
──
Adam's frustration simmered beneath the surface as he and Emma found themselves ensnared in yet another argument. The air in the room crackled with tension, a silent precursor to the storm that was about to erupt. Paloma, blissfully unaware in her crib, slept soundly, while her parents grappled with the unresolved issues.
"I can't keep doing this, Emma," Adam muttered, his jaw clenched. The weight of unresolved issues hung heavily between them, each word an echo of past disagreements. "We need to talk."
Emma, her expression defensive, crossed her arms, a subtle defiance in her stance. "What's there to talk about, Adam? Everything's fine."
A bitter laugh escaped him with the weight of their shared history. "Everything's far from fine, and you know it. Paloma needs stability, and you can't keep pretending that everything's okay when it's not."
Emma's eyes flashed with irritation. "I'm her mother, Adam. I know what's best for her."
Adam's jaw clenched, frustration palpable. "You barely spend time with her but refuse my help. Every time I ask you to be a part of her life, you find an excuse. This isn't fair to Paloma, and it's not fair to me especially when you dragged me into this in the first place."
Paloma stirred in her crib, a subtle reminder of the fragile peace that hung in the balance. The argument, a reflection of their complicated past, loomed over them, threatening to unravel the delicate threads that held their connection together.
Emma's gaze hardened, and she retorted, "I didn't force you into anything, Adam. You were a part of this too, remember?"
Adam's frustration escalated, his voice sharper. "I was a part of it because I wanted to be a father to Paloma, not because I wanted to be stuck in this cycle with you. I can't keep watching you push me away, I wanna be apart of her life-"
She scoffed, a bitter edge to her tone. "You act like I'm the bad guy here. I'm doing my best, Adam."
"You dragged me into this," he continued, a sharp edge to his tone. "I fought to be a part of Paloma's life because I wanted to, but you make it impossible. This isn't about us anymore; it's about her. You need to step up and be a mother, like you'd wanted to almost a year ago when you decided to have her."
Emma's eyes narrowed, defensive walls fortified. "I am her mother. But you don't get to dictate how I should do things. I have my own life, Adam-"
"And Paloma is a part of that life, whether you like it or not!" Adam yelled, the frustration in his voice reaching a boiling point. "I can't keep covering for you, Emma. My mom asks where you're at and half the time, I don't even fucking know. You can't just show up when it's convenient for you and disappear when it's not."
Paloma's soft cries began, the room filled with the sound of her distress, a reflection of the anger surrounding her. Adam's frustration transformed into determination. "I won't let you keep hurting her with your inconsistency, especially when she's old enough to remember. If you can't be a constant presence in her life, then maybe it's better if you're not a part of it at all."
The words hung in the air, a heavy proclamation that seemed to mark the unraveling of their already strained connection. Emma, caught between defiance and vulnerability, met Adam's gaze with a steely resolve, setting the stage for a tumultuous chapter in the story of Paloma's fractured family.

Could we have some Zima relationship headcanons :]
Tumblr media
;R1999 ZIMA - Relationship Headcanons
Tumblr media
Compilation of headcanons about Zima in a romantic relationship.
Tumblr media
ofc you can nonnie, ty for the request! Zima was the other character that got me into the game so he's very dear to me
also also, I'm not sick anymore so I have some steam to work on requests, hehe <3 still working on the sleepy fics though, don't worry yall!
Tumblr media
I haven't done a proper analysis/HCs post on Zima yet, so as usual I'll be talking a little about his character before getting into the whole relationship aspect of things!
The portrayal of Zima as a stereotypical, shy introvert feels extremely reductive to me, especially when it's all attributed to his speech pattern - the pauses, the stuttering... None of it is an indication of timidness. We have to remember that Zima's native language, like many other characters, is not english and he struggles when speaking it. That's the reason he speaks in such a way, there's a language barrier he's constantly fighting against in order to communicate with others and yet he's clearly trying.
There's an emphasis on loneliness, isolation and avoidance in his character that is impossible to ignore, which seems to add to the whole portrayal of Zima as a "shy baby". But again, this is something that comes from an important part of his life - the exile he went through. Him being socially inept is a result of a punishment, years of being alone with no one but animals to keep him company. It doesn't come from a sense of inferiority or insecurity such as Charlie, but an absolute lack of human contact.
When examining his voicelines, we also see that he's opinionated - criticizing the Tsar and the poor living conditions of the people, speaking of the beauty of nature and so on and so forth. He explicitly writes poems on any surface like trees, rocks and snow, even if he knows they'll be washed away overtime.
I understand that it's extremely easy to dismiss Zima when it comes to romance because of all of these details, his isolating ways and all, but he's a poet first and foremost.
While he may not be romantic in the more traditional sense we're used to, he's extremely insightful and takes a lot of care to appreciate the small details that often go overlooked, but that make life feel more lively and rich. In the context of relationships, given his age and his lifestyle, Zima would bring a completely different type of vibe - for comparison, most of the characters I talked about already lean towards high emotions, the fun of discovering love for the first time, etc etc...
Pavia's love is a whole rollercoaster on his own because there's always the chance of either getting hurt or having the time of your life, Forget Me Not's feels exactly like being hungover in the morning. But Zima's love is more like coming home after a long trip, knowing there's a warm meal waiting for you. It's familiar and calm.
On the subject of Zima falling in love.
Zima is used to introspection, so I genuinely believe he has a strong sense of self and a good grasp on his emotions. He quickly realizes when he's fallen for someone and he accepts it easily, despite the lack of romantic interactions in his life. This is because the object of his affections is, most likely, someone he already cherishes, and who puts the effort into maintaining a good friendship with him - so the idea of being in love with them feels natural!
I can't see Zima pursuing romantic relationships with strangers and/or those outside his close circle, not even a surface attraction beyond artistic appreciation for someone's looks. He strikes me as the type who can only fall in love with those he trusts and knows.
And even then, his behaviour wouldn't change much!
It's obvious that he lacks friends, so the very few people he does have are extremely important to him - even so, Zima does not need to constantly orbit around them and will gladly spend days (and weeks if you don't actively seek him out) without seeing them, content to catch up with them whenever their paths cross. He shares what little he has to offer with everyone, practical things and knowledge. Zima is 100% that friend who disappears for months and returns as if nothing happened.
When it comes to you, it's the same. Sure, if you ask him to stay a little longer then he'll oblige you. And if you're the chatty type or find his work interesting, then he'll put the effort into having a conversation with you despite the language barrier. But that's about it, the changes aren't noticeable no matter how much he loves you, because all of that happens when no one is looking.
If you happen to stroll around in the wilderness, getting lost in the forest and all, then you might find your name carved on trees along with many, many poems. If you don't speak or read russian, then all you'll be able to recognize is your name - the very first thing Zima taught you in his native tongue - but these are all declarations of love.
The animals are kinder to you, curious even. They follow and treat you like an old friend, as if they knew you, because everything they've heard from you comes from Zima himself. They speak about everything and anything with him, after all.
Zima lacks the initiative to confess or even consider being in a proper relationship with you - I insist, he's genuinely content with being a close friend - but he also lacks the restraint to keep his feelings to himself and thus puts them on display in the only way he knows how: as a poorly kept secret between himself and the nature that surrounds him.
Not many think of him as a romantic because of how stoic he is, but when Zima is in love, he sees you in every flower, in the snowflakes that fall and kiss his nose. You're the gentle summer breeze and the crystal clear rivers once winter ends. You're right there beside him in spirit when he sees little chicks take flight for the first time, or when all the other forest critters wake up after hibernating. Zima finds beauty in every aspect of nature, and he sees you everywhere he looks.
That said, there's no way he'll take the first step. That's entirely up to you, to pick up all these things and confront him about it - that's the only time he'll be open and direct about his feelings. Because you already know how much you mean to him!
Zima would love to teach you his native language.
This is partially me projecting because english isn't my native language either, but I do like to think that Zima's english is all self-taught. He understands when others speak english, but isn't as fluent when speaking himself. And that's why it's sooo infuriating and frustrating for him, as a creative person and poet.
Not only because it's harder to communicate with others, but because his work and poems - the most important part of himself - can't be fully understood. Therefore HE can't be fully understood. Some translations, while good, can't even come close to their original meaning. As his partner, Zima wants you to understand the full depth of his affections and thoughts.
I do think that the process of learning would also be quite organic, starting with Zima simply pointing out at things and teaching you the way they're named in russian, basic stuff he does unconsciously. If you pick up things on your own from his work and his translations, Zima will be over the moon and would ask you to repeat yourself to make sure your pronunciation is right and because he loves the way his language sounds with your accent.
But if you approach and ask him to properly teach you? He's gone, instantly overwhelmed with emotion and thoughts racing in his head, trying to organize a million different things - what would be the best way to teach you? Should he start with the alphabet? You want to learn this brand new language to understand him better, that simple gesture is a huge deal for him.
Once you have a pretty good grasp on the language, at least enough to have basic conversations with him, it will feel like Zima has gotten a little bolder - addressing you with pet names, being generally more blunt and talkative... But in fact, he's just finally able to express himself in his totality.
This also goes the other way around - Zima would love to learn your own native language, whether it's english or something else. It's yet another language he can use to express himself, so it's a win-win. And I know that it's common for us multilingual people to start confusing and mixing all the languages we speak, but I think Zima would have an easy time keeping them apart, so to speak!
On the subject of Zima and how he acts when he's in a relationship.
You two were close friends before you were lovers, so Zima doesn't feel any sort of pressure to live up to some dating standards like fancy dates, gifts or grandiose displays of affections - once again, it's all about what feels natural. You two know each other more than enough to simply fall into a comfortable routine that works out for both.
He does make the effort to drop by more often, to find a middle ground until he feels more comfortable and used to being around large groups of people. But he would also insist that you accompany for his walks in search of inspiration for his work!
When it comes to showing affection, I think Zima might be a little touchstarved - casual physical contact such as someone hugging or patting him on the back as a greeting still catch him by surprise, but affectionate gestures with those he trusts and loves is a novelty that leaves Zima starry-eyed.
He has a lot of things that he needs to slowly get used to again now that he's not exiled in the middle of the woods, but having you shower him with affection is something that he grows to like rather quickly. When you pet him, pepper his face with kisses, hold his hand when walking or hug him - it doesn't matter, Zima will always stand there, fascinated with the way you make him feel, so very warm and safe.
He would appreciate a warning before being touched, and he always makes sure to ask before initiating anything himself - it doesn't matter how many times you tell him that you're fine with this sort of contact, he's going to ask for permission anyway. Just out of politeness. Personal space is important, after all.
I think Zima would try to stick to a routine he can follow without overwhelming himself, especially if you're the type to need more attention (again, Zima will literally disappear for weeks if left to his own devices). It's more of a short list of things he needs to remember to do before the day is over, the two most important ones being greeting you in the morning and wishing you goodnight.
As for more general aspects of a relationship, I don't think there's much to say! Arguments with him rarely happen because he's patient and careful with his words, he communicates his needs and boundaries as well as he respects yours and all. Zima isn't that talkative, but his more "eccentric" traits are something you're probably used to on account of that initial bond and trust.

Hello. This is a rather mundane question considering all the things, but I got curious. Does Hebrew have accents? How do they vary in and out of Israel?
I understand if you choose not to reply as this is a difficult time for you. In any case, take care🩷🩷🩷
Hi Nonnie! No, don't worry, all questions that are truly interested in Jewish culture are welcome! ^u^
TBH, something to remember about Hebrew is that it has quite a unique history. To the best of my knowledge, it is the only language that was used on a daily basis as the lived in language of a native population, then "died" as a result of Jews being exiled. As they found themselves in other countries, they had to speak the local language. They didn't abandon Hebrew, but it stopped being the langauge in which they lived their daily lives. Hebrew became the language of prayer, of scripture study, and terms from it bled into the local languages Jews spoke, creating Jewish versions of these languages (Yiddish being the Jewish version of German, Ladino being the Jewish version of Spanish, Yevanik being the Jewish version of Greek, and there are also Jewish versions of Arabic and other languages, too), so Hebrew still had an impact on Jews, and they were still connected to it... but it was no longer a "living" language. It was closer to what Latin is today. A language in which religious ceremonies are conducted, that theologians study, but not a language that anyone conducts their daily life in.
Then, as a part of the project of reclaiming and reviving the Jewish native life in Israel that came to be known as Zionism, people set out to revive our native language, too. There was a realization that it had to be adapted to modern life, give it terms for things that didn't exist 2,000 years ago, so it would be useful for people who wanted to conduct their daily lives in Hebrew again. And that's how the last of the Canaanite languages became the only "dead" language to be revived, and return to be the lived in language of its native people.
I mention this unique history, because modern Hebrew isn't the same as biblical Hebrew (though about 60% of modern Hebrew IS biblical). It means if there were different Hebrew accents during biblical times, we don't know it for sure.
At the same time, the fact that Jews were spread out in the diaspora, and their pronunciation of Hebrew (as a dead language) came to be influenced by the local languages they spoke while in exile. So a Jew who returned to Israel from the diaspora in Germany, a Jew who returned to Israel from the diaspora in Argentina, and a Jew who returned to Israel from the diaspora in Yemen do not have the same accent when speaking Hebrew.
But these are not considered regional accents of Hebrew in the same way that you can find different regional accents of English when traveling across England... If we put aside the accents of Jews returning to Israel, and instead we look at the accents of Jews born in Israel, the ones born into speaking modern Hebrew, there's a myth of a Jerusalem accent. I say myth, because you'll hear all over Israel people swearing, that Jerusalemites pronounce a few words differently. The most common example is the word 'mataim' (which means two hundred), and many Israelis insist Jerusalemites pronounce it ma'ataim, with the first vowel prolonged and emphasized. I have lived in Jerusalem since 2002 and I have never heard it. I think in this sense, regional accents are usually, at least in part, a product of geography. It determines how far apart people live, how much they interact, how much they hear others speaking the same language as they do. The smaller a country, and the easier travel in it is, the fewer accents it's likely to produce. And I think that's the main reason why there aren't really accents in Israel (other than those of people who came to speak Hebrew as a second language), because it's a very small country, and because today, it's pretty easy to travel in it (you can cross it from the most northern point to the most southern one in slightly over 5 hours).
I hope that kind of answers it? Thank you for the kind words, I hope you're well, too! xoxox

so if Mudfur kind of regretted taking Leopardstar to the clan, instead of leaving her safely with Brightsky (well, regretted might be strong word? he did felt like Shite given how she turned out).. then how did Leopardstar felt about him becoming a cleric after winning a fight with Adderfang? i know that timeline-vise she was probably a baby and probably didnt had strong opinion Yet, but like.. if she looked back at his decision, was she be disappointed? angry even?
i have seen posts with how Mudfur felt about her later, but i dont think i seen anything about how Leopardstar felt about her dad.. and maybe even her mom (if she even has memory of her or anything)
Ohh nonnie you're right. Let's talk about BB!Leopardstar.
She is absolutely ashamed of what Mudfur is. She was born after all these glorious stories of her father took place, but to say she was "raised in his shadow" would be a misstatement. She was raised with his legacy as a SETTING SUN.
It was something in the distance, just below the horizon, painting the sky in royal pink, gold, and purple. Though she had never seen the sun itself, the impacts it had on the world were breathtaking, awe-inspiringly beautiful.
And yet, the sun had hidden itself away. Its magnificence is fleeting. He had locked himself away in the Cleric's den, and acted as a Mi to herself and her sister, setting nightfall upon RiverClan
How DARE he? When you are radiant, worth SO much to your Clan as an undefeatable warrior, LEGENDARY in your strength, you should feel RESPONSIBILITY to share that warmth. But he, with only the paltry connection to StarClan of a regular warrior, had chosen "his own happiness" and forsaken RiverClan in the process.
And to be breaking your Vow as a Cleric, to be RAISING CHILDREN when you should be serving your Clan?? Had he not taken to heart the story of Larkstripe? Or respected the pain and sacrifice of Moth Flight as her children were (given/stolen/claimed/bestowed)* to the Clans?
How selfish! And Hailstar enabled him!
Leopardfur is the great-granddaughter of Volestar, who was appointed by Darkstar herself to continue her legacy in spite of any opposition from Oakstar. Volestar kept RiverClan out of the Crusades and was the ONLY outspoken opponent of the madness, adamantly defending the Queen’s Rights and asserting that her Clan was different from the other three.
Leopardstar wants to set this legacy "straight."
Darkstar, Volestar, Hailstar, and eventually Crookedstar are a line of cats who have allowed RiverClan to become weak. Clerics raising kits! Accepting help from Fireheart! Obvious violations of the Law of Loyalty! StarClan took Silverstream to TEACH CROOKEDSTAR A LESSON and yet he just allowed Graystripe to waltz right in bearing the HalfClan kits like a gift, asking him for details of his treachery.
When she took power, she was glad to finally be able to explore options for ousting Mudfur. If he wouldn't take an apprentice, then she would simply exile him and have Tigerstar's cleric train a new one.
So. She did.
Did it pain her? Yes of course, he was her Mi, after all. She does love her family, yes, yes. But she knows the meaning of the word "sacrifice," and HE does not.

I’d love to request a story where Loki and yn meet for the first time and somehow she sparks his interest what never really happened before ☺️
Library meet cute || Loki x Reader || Requests open ||
A/N: I may have taken creative liberties here but I hope you still like it, nonny! <3
Warnings: hate of species!
Tumblr media
Ever since Loki began to serve his sentence on Midgard alongside those he’d harmed during his attack, he’d come to appreciate one place in all of New York above all else. The library. Sure, it was open to the public and people always bustled in and out, discussing loudly about the books they’d read and the ones they needed to return but it was such a familiarity to Loki that he found himself smiling despite the fact and enjoying the cool breeze that wafted from the air conditioners on the ceilings.
Loki had begun his visits after the library was reopened to the public three months after his attack. Odin hadn’t hesitated to give him the punishment of a lifetime and force him to live alongside the people he’d made his enemies. His magic was restricted and he wasn’t allowed to use it in public lest he terrify all the people he had to live with.
The God of Mischief adored these small moments he had to himself where he was allowed to just browse literature and forget that everybody here feared him. His fingertips grazed the spines of countless books as he looked at the fiction section, trying to find a suitable novel to get stuck into when his fingers brushed against someone elses.
Alarmed, Loki withdrew his fingers and turned to his side where he saw a beautiful woman staring at him. Loki blinked for a few seconds before regaining his composure and dropping into a respectful bow. “I apologise, my lady,” he began with complete sincerity, looking up at the woman unsurely, “I must have zoned out and not noticed.”
“It’s alright,” she responded with a warm smile, looking back to the shelf and picking a book before turning to Loki again and holding it out to him, “this is The Great Gatsby, you sound like the type to enjoy such a novel.”
“Fitzgerald’s work?” Loki murmured mostly to himself as he took the book from the woman’s fingers and looked down at the classical hardcover, “have you read it?”
“Oh, once or twice,” she shrugged with an easy smile, tilting her head as she looked up at him, “wasn’t really my style but you seem like the one to like it more. I’m Y/N, by the way. Thought we’d possibly like to know each other’s names.”
“Don’t you know who I am?” Loki asked with a raised eyebrow, watching as the woman looked him up and down before shrugging and offering a polite smile. “I am Loki of Asgard,” he continued with a confused tone in his voice, “I attacked your planet a year ago and now I spend my exile here alone.”
Realisation seemingly spread across her face and she clicked her fingers, “right! Laufeyson! You’re living with the Avengers, right? I’m not from New York, just visiting but I’ve heard that a criminal is now living under the Avengers care!”
“I’m not in their care,” Loki sneered before seeing the surprise in her eyes and quickly backing down and whispering, “forgive me, I did not mean to startle you thus. It is unbecoming of the Prince of Asgard.”
Loki studied the woman in front of him and that’s when he sensed the slight whiff of magic coming from her form and he tilted his head slightly. “Do you have magic?” he asked very abruptly, watching as your eyes widened and you looked around to see if you were being listened to.
Once you were sure that there were no eavesdroppers, you glared up at Loki. “I concede,” you whispered with a frown, “I am Y/N Y/L/N, I am the daughter of one of the lords of Jötunheim. I’m not supposed to be on Midgard but I was so curious.”
Surprise washed over Loki’s face as he stared down at the woman before him. She was a Jötun?! He had thought he’d destroyed Jötunheim in his blind rage three years ago but seeing a living Jötun here was evidence that he had obviously failed to destroy the planet of monsters like himself.
Even though he knew of this woman’s true nature, he could not stop himself from thinking about how beautiful she looked and how he felt no disgust towards her as he eternally felt towards himself. To him, she was no different than any other woman he’d met here on Midgard, her magic was incredibly strong to allow her to blend into American society so easily.
“Loki?” her sweet voice echoed in his brain as she stared up at him and he saw the fear in her eyes, “you said you were of Asgard. Are you going to kill me like other Asgardians?”
“No!” Loki found himself saying in a hurry, surprising himself and Y/N by how quickly he’d replied, “I could never kill a beauty such as you.”
Loki didn’t know what was happening to himself! Normally when he thought of the blue monsters he’d been taught to hate, he felt disgust and judgement towards his race and occasionally thought about murdering every last one even if he had no magic. It would make Odin proud, at least, to have the enemies destroyed. But when he looked down at this woman, he didn’t feel that way at all. In fact, his heart was speeding up and every muscle in his body wanted him to reach out and embrace her, reassure her that everything is alright and that he would never harm her and it scared him. It scared him how quickly he was falling for this woman, more than he’d fallen into the thrall of any Aesir maiden.
Perhaps it was the monster in himself, perhaps it was in his blood to react thus towards a female Jötun. Perhaps this had always been how he felt deep inside and now he was only just realising that.
“Well… how about we leave this place?” Y/N suggested, grabbing Loki’s attention as quickly as any other time she’d spoken. Her voice sounded like honey, her smile comforted him more than he’d ever been comforted in his life by his brother and mother. This fragile heart he kept behind so many concrete walls were already starting to crack oh too quickly for his taste.
Loki nodded as he followed you out of the library after checking out The Great Gatsby. Loki guided you to a coffee shop that he had come to love that was a good twenty minutes walk away from the library. All the way, Loki felt this pull towards you that he’d never felt before, a tug on his heart that was telling him that you were destined to be his and only his.
It seemed, deep in the Jötun side of him, he knew he’d found his mate. His Aesir side just wouldn’t know for a while yet.

i absolutely love your sh meta so i was wondering what are your thoughts on Alec’d relationship with his sexuality bc i always sort of read it as him knowing that he was gay but absolutely not saying it out loud
absofuckinglutely nonny
There's an excellent post by amorverus that I cannot find the original of so have my reblog HERE that articulates it really well
I even wrote a fic about it! #shameless self promotion [tumblr / ao3] (That is, in fact, one of my favorite things I've ever written.)
I do strongly believe that Alec knew that he was gay, and felt no shame about that in and of itself. He is not offended by Magnus flirting with him, would not, I think, be offended by anyone else flirting with him, regardless of gender. (Tho prior to Magnus I also think he just... wasn't interested, but that's a separate conversation.) He knew, however, that it was not allowed in his culture and it would hurt his family and not just him if it came out.
(This is why Izzy makes me so uncomfortable in s1 regarding Alec, tbqh, because she lives there too, but refuses to see the danger to herself and, more egregiously in Alec's mind, because obviously she can chose to risk herself for him if she wants, for all he doesn't like it, but she's causing risk for their little brother if Alec is outed, and that's unacceptable. Even if I'm quite sure Max would agree with her priorities.)
I do, however, think Alec felt a lot of shame regarding his attraction to Jace. Jace was hurting and was supposed to be his brother and yet... Alec felt an attraction that he knew Jace wouldn't return. So he's got all the societal pressure on him not to be gay, and all this personal pressure not to manipulate or abuse someone in a vulnerable situation (because Jace was, even if he wouldn't admit it), PLUS all the normal human issues with feeling attraction for someone who is important enough to you that you can't lose them, and you can legitimately be terrified that if you can't get it under control you MIGHT... (Even more so for him than a mundane romantic vs platonic situation, obviously, because there's questions of command and exile and punishment, not just ruining an interpersonal dynamic in a way it never quite recovers from.)
Plus Alec's kind of also Jace's commanding officer which is yet ANOTHER unequal power dynamic, and he's supposed to be protecting an entire Institute, not just this one person, but he can't stop thinking about it because it's fucked up and he knows he should stop and he can't.
(Because, he realizes with the benefit of hindsight after he meets Magnus, by fixating on Jace he was safe, he was never going to fall in love for real with someone he might have a chance with, would never have to actually choose between his culture and his personal desires, while still telling himself that he already had, that he'd chosen his family and it was fine, he was FINE.
(He was so not fine.))
And so, even though he truly believes there's nothing wrong with being gay in general, he does believes there is something Very Wrong with him specifically being gay.
But he still never has any doubt about it. He never tries to project heterosexual interest in anyone, is very up front with Lydia about the terms of their engagement. (It seems clear, even if we never see that conversation, that they're both aware that their marriage would never be romantic or sexual unless they mutually decided to go the so-called traditional route for children.) And she agreed to it! She, unlike Jace & Izzy, had zero illusions about her relationship with Alec, and I ADORE HER FOR THAT.
And I've totally lost the thread of this rambling, I'm not sure I have a conclusion for you? 😅😅😅
Alec is, imo, refreshingly self-aware about most things, and many of his issues are legitimately external stupidity punishing him into a life of self-recrimination rather than him having internal bigotry or biases against his own sexuality in and of itself.

i don’t know you but i just really wanted to say thank you for everything you said 🫂 i’m not russian but russian is still my native language and i often felt conflicted about it in the past but your words and your experience have resonated with me so much i’m just really grateful for people like you when so many people in the fandom just be accusing everyone of things they know nothing about and it’s really hard and difficult sometimes to just be in these fandom spaces that are supposed to be safe so thank you again 🩷
Thanks, nonnie. I won't lie, it's been really hard. I'm from a former soviet republic whose primary language is russian, but to which I can't safely return because of the political situation there. I am, for all intents and purposes, in exile from a place that was once home, and to have the language I speak to my family, one of my only connections to a homeland I can't return to, being called offensive has been hard. To see people saying that we're just "shoving it in people's faces" by speaking it and that our whole language and culture need to die when I can't go home, I can't even see my family's graves, it's been hard. Your native language is your native language. It's your connection to who you are. It doesn't make you responsible for the government that uses that language as its official language. And this fandom needs to get a hell of a lot more accepting to people who have a wide variety of different backgrounds.

Historically, it's kind of interesting that when the sh-t hits the fan for various European monarchies, they all flee to the UK. Even during WW2, members of the Norwegian Royal Family, Greek Royal Family, Dutch Royal Family, Luxembourg Royal Family and so on all fled to the UK. I guess that's why the deposed last King of Greece lived most of his life in exile in the UK as the BRF were literally relatives of his.
Hi Nonny,
I think it is a combination of a) Queen Victoria marrying off her children all around Europe, so now most of the royal families are related in some way and can call on their relatives for help, and b) the UK being a safe space during the turmoil of WW2, with that image of the UK as a safe refuge continuing to this day. That is a simple explanation for what is undoubtedly a more complex topic. :)
You are right, it is interesting to see how the European monarchies reacted in times of stress and trouble.

Believe it or not, there are people who say Daenerys should “get over” being an exiled princess and stay in Essos because her family “got what they deserved”. There are people who fault her for being angry at the people who overthrew and killed her family. And yes, her father did need to be removed from power, but removing her father wasn’t all the rebels did. They also decided to overthrow the entire dynasty and kill any Targaryens they could get their hands on, including children. The rebellion is not as simple as “rebels good” “loyalists bad”. It’s not some fairytale where the handsome storm lord kills the evil dragonlord. It’s more complex. The rebels also saw the rebellion as an opportunity to take power for themselves. Daenerys doesn’t need to have positive feeling towards any of the people who helped Robert. And people who say she deserves to be in exile forever because of the things her father did, a man she never even met, are insane and lack empathy.
"the rebellion is not that simple as rebels good loyalists bad, it's not some fairytale where the handsome storm lord kills the evil Dragonlord" yeah nonnie you're talking about a fanbase that labels Rhaegar a dude 4-5 years out of highschool and Lyanna an 8th grader. Like, that's where we're at. And you come here with your fancy words and expect these people to read and understand them with the 1.5 braincell that they possess?
My biggest flex is GRRM being asked "was Robert's Rebellion justified" and his answer being "idk was Robert justified for starting a war because he lost his gf? Was Ned Stark justified for starting an entire war over a personal feud following the execution of his family? The personal interfered with the political, idk, I would like my readers to answer if personal motives can justify a war" like the dude has NO chill 🤣😂
Thank you @dragonsfromthemoon for posting this hilarious interview!

So how old is Daemon when babey is born ? Because daemon was 16 when Rhaenyra was born and 19 when he married rhea Royce.
Hi, nonnie!
I've adjusted the ages of the characters according to what I vibe with, pretty much - there are a few incongruencies with the show's depiction of the characters that I felt it appropriate to fiddle around with the gaps between them.
For context, here's a rough outline of how old I assume/expect each character to be in terms of endearment:
80 AC: Viserys I is born 85 AC: Aemma Arryn is born 91 AC: Daemon Targaryen is born 95 AC: Alyssa Targaryen (mother of Daemon) dies 97 AC: Alicent Hightower is born 98 AC: Laenor Velaryon is born 99 AC: Rhaenyra Targaryen is born 100 AC: Laena Velaryon is born 101 AC: Baelon (father of Daemon) dies; Great Council 103 AC: Jaehaerys dies; Viserys becomes King 107-108 AC: Daemon marries Rhea 109 AC: Babey is born 112 AC: Episode 1/2 canon (Aemma dies, Rhaenyra named heir, etc.) 113 AC: Aegon II is born 114 AC: Helaena is born 115 AC: Daemon is victorious in Stepstones; Aemond is born 116 AC: Daemon returns; Episodes 4/5 canon; Jacaerys is born 117 AC: Rhaena/Baela are born 120 AC: Daeron is born 121 AC: Lucerys is born 126 AC: Joffrey is born; Daemon returns from exile; start of gevivys.
According to show canon, Aemma Arryn was the one responsible for the match between Daemon and Rhea rather than Alysanne Targaryen, which resolves this discrepancy somewhat. It is present in the original script for Episode 1, though the scene was adjusted/deleted from the final episode.
I reduced the gap between Daemon and Rhaenyra because of Matt Smith and Emma D'Arcy's real-life age gap of eight years. I do not see it feasible that they could pull off the canon sixteen year gap from the book, as Emma has a real wisdom to them that makes them seem older. I've also increased the age gap between Viserys and Daemon to reflect the visual ages of the characters on-screen. I put a couple years between Alicent and Rhaenyra so that Rhaenyra is thirteen in Episode 1/2 and Alicent is fifteen, which (while horrible) isn't completely disgusting when she marries Viserys prior to Episode 3. I've fiddled with the timeline so that in Episode 3, Alicent is pregnant with Aemond, not Helaena; otherwise he would be like sixteen in Episode 8 and that is not realistic. Also, the show canon states that Laena is now younger than Laenor, not older as in book canon.
Thus, as it stands, Daemon was eight years old when Rhaenyra was born. He was sixteen or seventeen when he married Rhea, and eighteen when Babey was born.
I hope this helps, nonnie!

What do you think of The Godfather Part 3? I honestly hate most of it, it just feels like poorly written fanfiction lol. I can't decide what's the worst bit: Mary, Mary and Vincent's incestuous relationship (WHY!!), Michael and Kay, Michael being totally OOC (smiling, being jovial), Michael's truly horrible haircut (might be the single worst offender for me OMG)...just a bad film in my opinion. I like to pretend it doesn't exist.
I personally really like Sherlock series 1 and 2, and ignore the existence of the rest of it, pretty much. That works fine. But if you don't mind me feeling differently while understanding where you're coming from, Nonnie - I really like the Godfather Coda, the Death of Michael Corleone. Part III, the first cut, nah, I think we can put that aside. And yes, the difference in Michael is too jarring for the most part. I've watched Pacino in different things, and he seems to prefer playing more extrovert men, and seems to have decided playing Michael that way was what felt best to him. And I could see it - there are some hints of that Michael very early in film 1 with Kay - but they'd need to do a better job bridging that gap visually. I can forgive it, because I do see this film as Don Corleone desperately trying to go back to being a man, Michael Andolini if you will, the man he would have been had he not picked up the mantle of Don, the man he can't ever be. Vito saw the tragedy in his son picking up that mantle, he almost apologised: "There wasn't enough time, Michael." Michael now sees Vincent being hungry for it while he cannot escape how his own choices are eating at him. When he wants his son to join him, he is rebuffed. When he forbids his daughter to join him through Vincent,he is rebuffed. I think the figure of Mary shows very clearly how he has lost all the loves of his life to this crime, in the dancing scenes: Apollonia, Kay, yes, Kay, people, and now the one who yet loves him as a man first - Mary. Connie, too, has been entirely corrupted.
The third Godfather gives us a whole film about this stage of alienation and power slipping from us, while framing the rise of Vincent not as a triumph but as a horror. Vito's rising was mostly triumphant, as he honoured his relationships. Michael's rising was terrible on everyone he loved... and Vincent's rising through Michael's eyes is sleazy. A rotten thing that Michael can't escape.
But most gangster films give that a couple of scenes at most, indeed a coda... but Coppola was like: if you insist on milking this, I refuse to go easy on you. I will not do it, I will give you the wreckage I spent two films building up.
Artistically brave, but a genre break, and a sad thing too that these men can't figure out a way to include a young woman in this action other than through love. Cousins marrying was not totally unheard of in the Sicilian old world, though, I don't think. Small island, few newcomers. These things die out hard. Just another way to show how this old world clashes with the life Michael chases and can never reach - through his own choices! It's a true tragedy! Could he have done differently? Yes, but also no, he is Michael. Who bears the emotional fallout of this, and this I love - the women! The ones who are supposedly so cutoff from all this! Connie gets abused, widowed, and has to submit to her own brother in an effort to save the other and herself. Again, she's lost two siblings and a husband to this violence! Kay lives in terror and still loses a daughter. Mary - poorly acted Mary, I'm sorry, even recut the others outshine her too much - killed by a bullet meant for Michael, and Michael, forced to live with his failure exiled in the Sicily he tried all his life to leave behind... it's tonally a break and not at all what a lot of fans of the first two would have come to the cinema for. But what do I think?
I think despite its flaws it's brave and necessary.
I mean I love that Michael ends this film alone, ashamed and cursedly alive.

Alicent spent 16 years shaming Rhaenyra’s sons for existing, told Viserys that Rhaenyra’s sons were bastards, mistakes and insults, encouraged Vaemond Velaryon to weaken Luke’s claim, advocated for them to be recognized as bastards and stripped of their rights, when Rhaenyra brings forward the idea of marrying Helaena to Jace in order to join both sides of the family and avoid future issues, Alicent is repulsed by the idea of marrying off her daughter to one of Rhaenyra’s “plain-featured” sons (shutting down every single attempt at peace Rhaenyra made), wanted to mutilate one of Rhaenyra's children, rushes at them with lethal intent with a dagger, trades insults with Rhaenyra, and then slices her arm open.
She also knew the consequences of what that could mean, which is death and/or exile. These kind of comments can get Rhaenyra and her children killed. Viserys told her the consequences would be dire. And yet she continued to pressed the issue. And now you’re telling me she wants to protect Rhaenyra ? I thought Alicent was terrified Rhaenyra was going to slaughter her children once she ascends.
She deluded herself and believed the incoherent ramblings of a demented, drugged up and dying man, she doesn't explain how they will placate the Blacks but rather shouts at everybody not to assassinate them, she's done nothing to secure her son's rule after his father's death, Larys and Cole does all the dirty work for the Greens without Alicent’s approval and she gets to look shocked afterwards. The entire character is an absolute DISASTER, AN INCOHERENT MESS.
She is unaware, exploited, passive, and hesitant in HOTD, vs. active, ambitious, deliberate, dominant, and assertive in F&B. I very much prefer F&B's version.
Louder for the Rhaenicent stans being emotional and defending Alicent because "omg she kept the page Rhaenyra gave her during all those years, it's so beautiful" and "she's torned between her love for her family and her love for Rhaenyra because she's been used all her life by men, poor baby girl, it's so great the writers gave her depth", nonnie. Seriously, give us a break. They didn't write a deep, interesting version of Alicent, she's not a coherent character, the writing is a mess, and book!Alicent would freakin hate show!Alicent.

Isreal must secure the existence of their people and a future for Jewish children
Hi Nonnie! Yes. Just... yes. Just like every other country. Every single country has a contract with its citizens that it will secure their existence. In the case of Israel, a country also established to be a refuge for Jews in need of it, this contract extends to Jewish people everywhere around the world. Even the anti-Zionist ones, and even the ones who don't believe they'd ever need or want Israel. We can never foresee tomorrow. There should always be at least one place on the face of the Earth that Jews can escape to if the world surprises us for the worse again, and that place has to be safe for them.
Thank you again, I hope you're doing good! xoxox
(for all of my updates and ask replies regarding Israel, click here)
- Wow. I did not know that this was a white supremacist slogan. Thank you to all the people who told me. This is where you can tell that I am not an American. That's what a whistle dog is, right? Unless you're familiar with it, you wouldn't recognize it.
But here's what this person doesn't get:
White supremacists believe that there is a war between the races, and one race can only secure its existence and future at the expense of the other ones. We, as Jews, know better than that. We have ALWAYS co-existed with others, whether when in the exile of the diaspora, or even before that, when our ancestors lived in the Land of Israel. There were always non-Jews living amongst us, and by our side. There was always the biblical rule that commanded us to be kind to non-Jews. Because we are ALL made in God's image. Securing the existence and future of Jews was never meant to be at the expense of anyone else. That's why the State of Israel accepted the two state solution since its inception. That's why so many Israeli Arabs live as citizens here. Israel was never meant to be a Jew only state, and it never will be. And that is a part of its strength. That is a part of how we will secure its existence and future, because we are ALL better off when we strengthen and enrich and uplift each other.
Miss me with this supremacist and racist bullshit.
