I have a theory that Yor's poison tolerance is so high not just because of the assassin training, but also from all the trial and error she likely went through while foraging for food as a kid.

(I mean, her cooking is a given as a source of poison training but I personally think that she probably ordered out most of her meals once she started living on her own. But considering a lot of adults sometimes have difficulty determining which berries and mushrooms are safe to eat, I fully expect a child with limited resources wouldn’t know right away. And rather than chance anything with Yuri, she likely was the poison checker herself until she became more familiar with what plants are safe to eat.)

Um, so, it’s almost been 3 months? Eheh ^^;; I wanted to get this done before the first episode, but now the first cour’s almost done…well, at least I finally got it finished. Anyway, decided I wouldn’t go on social media ‘til I did. Was tough to get through—physics was my main focus, I had finals a fortnight ago, and drawing this could honestly be such. A. Pain…!

This is actually my third attempt which I started a little over a week ago. It was supposed to be a lot more detailed and not just front-facing and chibi-esque, but I was getting nowhere with the third Ichigo for the first attempt. And I didn’t even finish the first Ichigo for the second attempt. I love him and his designs, I do, but my God, is he so hard for me to draw! Spiky hair, shihakushou, swords…I still don’t like the sword’s angle for the TYBW version, but ah well.

So, yeah—simple “chibis” so I could actually get this done.

Anyway, I act like college took up almost all my time, but my brain has been rotting because of Bleach ever since my last post. Like, scouring through the internet for content probably took up most of my free time—hell, time that shouldn’t have been my free time, too…

There’s probably other stuff I wanna talk about rn, but I’m too tired to remember. Gonna go take a nap.

there is something just so extremely sad about when marceline showed simon the old picture of him before the war. that was a man that lived a completely normal life. he had a job and a fiancee and he went on quests to find the enchiridion and other magical objects, and in the photo he’s even smiling and he just. lived such a regular life. he had no idea what was coming to him. in that photo he didn’t even know the crown existed yet.

and then it’s so sad when ice king has just these... horrible moments of loneliness. like when he was crying and shooting ice at the ceiling and yelling about how he just wanted to be loved, and even that moment in ‘the eyes’ where he explains how he’s always miserable and always cries. and when he’s describing all the scary creatures he sees through his wizard eyes, something he has to go through alone because he doesn’t know anyone else who suffers from it. and that moment in elements where he, seemingly out of the blue, appears absolutely terrified of finn’s sweater for no reason. 

it’s just very harrowing and scary to think that somewhere, underneath all of those layers of loneliness and torment, is where simon is really buried. he was just a regular guy and then he got wrapped up in all of this and he was stripped of any normalcy for hundreds of years.

and then you think about how in ‘betty’, simon basically said he would rather die than be the ice king again. he was even telling finn and jake to stop betty from trying to save him.

he was just so full of pain and confusion and it hurts so bad to think about a normal individual being screwed up so badly like that...

my apologies if this is out of place on your blog- it's one of the few CPC blogs I know- but am I the only one who feels weird about the whitewashing Frederick's character is going through in fandom right now? like demonizing the CPC (a place literally made of the oppressed) in favor the white, cis, het, oh-so-innocent-and-pure boy? and making it seem like he was completely in the right to be racist to Gwen (unintentional racism is still racism!) and that everything he did was 100% justified and explained.

Again, sorry if I sound like an SJW (can't believe I'm using that term in 2024) but this just really rubs me the wrong way.

Who knows.... and yeahh the braided island inhabitants are a fictional race, but also the coding! the other pastel kids resemble their white father more, and they're technically mixed, while gwen is visibly more like her mother. like being more visibly indigenous or latina but if you were gwen in cpc. which makes me think yk
