Videos and propaganda/info dumping under cut
ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter: Magic Kingdom (1994-2003)
Propaganda:
"Scared the everloving —- out of me as a kid, but I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was incredible. Still mad it was basically put in the wrong park and would never survive there."
"I FUCKING love this attraction okay- Not only was it a pioneer in technology but it also was such a bold move for disney and really went to show that they could terrify people if they really wanted to. Also, the alien animatronic is cool, And there's a tim curry robot."
"personally designed by George Lucas"
"Please please please please please please please please please please please please"
"A big part of why this was shut down is the exact same reason as to what makes it great, and one of the most unique attractions of any disney park- The more mature theming, shown off with X-S Tech's blatant greed, hubris and downright maliciousness, and the overstimulating *horror* seen in the main teleportation chamber? I don't think we'll ever find in a newer ride again. Not to mention, the "deco tech" visual style found throughout is one of the coolest aesthetic blends I've ever seen!!
And if all of that doesn't get you... Skippy will. Cutest animatronic this side of the galaxy, with a wonderful voice to boot. He's even got not one, not three, but Five different plush variants you could take home!! big, small, smaller, backpack or fanny pack- it's your choice :] "
Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour: Tokyo Disneyland (1986-2006)
Propaganda:
"Only park representation of the black cauldron"
Descriptions in English cut version:
Uncut full version:
Because I find this fascinating, here is also a info video on it:

Recently leaked photographs of unused animatronic prototypes for Disneyland's unrealized version of ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter!
These animatronics slightly differ from the ones used in the final, Disney World version of the ride. Here Skippy is clearly hairless, and the main alien seems to have a more rigid carapace instead of the leathery skin of its final version

By far the most challenging piece of my ExtraTerrorestrial concept art series as robots ad machinery are very challenging for me. This is S.I.R. (Simulated Intelligence Robotics). He is in the second pre-show of the ExtraTerrorestrial experience and, judging from the clips of the experience, one of the most impressive animatronics I've seen in any theme park. What makes it more impressive is that it existed in 1996. Anyway, S.I.R. is a robot that gives guests a small demonstration of X-S Tech's teleportation technology with the yellow alien Skippy as his "lucky volunteer". You can see the whole pre-show here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttuaRKEx7c4
On the left is a recreation of the original design (to the best of my ability) and on the right is a recreation based on the latest real world humanoid robot designs. Though I like the overall frame I'm not entirely sold on the face as the original just has this sinister aesthetic too it that I absolutely love. A composite of the two might more but I'm not sure how to justify unnecessary moving mouth parts for an advance robot when a screen can project any expression imaginable.
ExtraTerrorestrial: Alien Encounter belongs to Disney.
As always comments and critiques are welcome.

Imagine if the Extraterrorestrial Alien Encounter space had been turned into an actual Tomorrowland Convention Center with rotating exhibits. The preshow mentions an antique rocket show, a robotics expo (featuring an animatronic Lincoln from Lunar Disneyland), a pet show, etc. How cool would it be to have a new "convention center event" with cool alien animatronics every couple of years or so? Imagine the alien pets they could come up with.

I now have what I believe to be a complete set of POGS from "ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter".
Since I may be the only person alive who can make this claim, here's the only high rez images of them on the entire internet.

There’s a reference to the old “ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter” attraction from the Magic Kingdom, found in Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! at Disneys California Adventure!
The company X-S Tech are the company who developed the transporter that brings the dangerous alien into a roomful of people… and it seems Taneleer Tivan has bought one for himself.

Spotted this odd looking fellow at goodwill today! He seemed so familiar to me but I couldn't remember from where....
He was such a gentleman during the ride home and once there decided to start the search on who this mystery guy is! I spotted his disney park tush tag and began to dig through the internet...
...It ends up he was part of a pre-show for the defunct alien encounter/stitch's great escape show in Disney World!
I'm over the moon about finding such a unique/obscure friend in such good condition! With only a mild scuff on his eye and a small hole near his antenna, Skippy's in great shape for being almost 30 years old! (Just like me lol)
