PROSCRIPTOR McGOVERN’s APSÛ, full-length album 2021 (Proscriptor is back ! And crazier than ever... “Every Watchtower Within Is the Axis of a Watchtower Without including Totemic Thresholds”... ‘Mythological Occult Black-Thrash Attack’ !)
“When drummer/vocalist Proscriptor McGovern (Russ R. Givens) dissolved Absu on January 27th 2020, his main intention was to splinter the 30-year old faction into a renewed songwriting concord. Proscriptor McGovern’s Apsû is the obvious by-product of that chemical breakdown, which constitutes a new incarnation and direct continuation of Absu’s legacy. Securing the ranks, alongside McGovern, are continuing bassist/vocalist Ezezu (Absu : 2008-2020), new guitar virtuoso Vaggreaz (Possessed, Gruesome) and keyboardist Vorskaath (Zemial, Agatus). Since Absu’s last, unreleased album was to be penned as “Apsû,” McGovern fused the title with his name to form the group. With this much anticipated, self-titled album, McGovern’s objective was to append the signature sound of “Mythological Occult Metal,” but to convolute it with bouts of psychedelia, fusion and vintage electronics. When asked about the album’s final outcome, McGovern stated the following : “Having the opportunity to assemble these band members, in the development of this album, was a remarkable honour and I strongly feel this album captures the band’s true, yet frenzied potential.” McGovern, who also produced and co–engineered the album, added : “I specifically appointed these three to augment and heighten the overall sound portrait of these recordings, hoping that our emphasis on ‘Mythological Occult Metal,’ coupled with progressive and psychedelic elements, clutches the listener’s momentum. Most importantly, I highly commend Agonia Records for migrating our musical and arcane foresight onto the next level.”

PANZRAM: Texas Blackened Industrial Dealers Release New Video For "Long Shadows"
Featuring former ABSU bassist Ezezu, something lurks from the plains...
Texas blackened industrial outfit PANZRAM — featuring former Absu bassist Ezezu — has released its latest video for "Long Shadows," taken from the band's third album War Drums For Dreary Scum.
Sink to the rankest depths with "Long Shadows" here
Named after serial killer Carl Panzram (1891-1930), the duo exists solely to create a truly terrifying and abyssic sound through a combined effort between multi-instrumentalists Ezezu and Hexx. While the sound can be quite diverse, PANZRAM's roots lie in the chaos of black metal with its ethos not defined by predecessors. Instead, the band interprets the nuances and traditions of the genre into a greater sense of disillusion and mania.
Formed in Canada in 1991 under the name "Arkadia," the band released two demos and recorded its debut full-length before relocating to the landfills of the Texas Panhandle in late 2004. PANZRAM's debut White Silence was released in 2006, and the band performed several local shows before Ezezu joined USBM pioneers Absu in 2008. The band was on ice for close to a decade before Ezezu struck flame to iron and resumed activities in 2015 after Absu's schedule waned. Hexx, the producer of Arkadia's demos, was invoked as an official member shortly thereafter, and the duo recorded Cyanide Overdrive in 2018. The band's third album, War Drums For Dreary Scum, was released in December to bring PANZRAM back to its original intention of releasing music each year.
With the unconventional duo augmenting disorder, the arsonists prepare their fourth album Black Hearted Battery, slated for release sometime October 2020.
FFO: Ministry, Bethlehem, Mysticum, Skinny Puppy, Darkthrone
PANZRAM is:
Ezezu – vocals, guitars, bass Hexx – synth, production

Tourism in Nigeria is still in its infancy. For the tourism industry as a sector of the Nigerian economy, it is not in dispute that it has abundance of resources that can be diversified to transform the socio economic lives of the populace yet, the sector's performance is nowhere in tune with turning the economy into a foreign exchange earner. Poor impression and attitude to tourism in Nigeria resulted in, most Nigerians, not considering tourism as good career or lucrative income generating enterprise. The present work aims to evolve modalities for sustainable tourism development programmes in Nigeria, capable of remedying the dwindling tourist attractions to sustainable standards. The authors investigated the causes of failure of tourism development in Nigeria and solutions to improving it. They were careful with analytical instruments and tools used. The disciplinary areas of focus are, architecture and tourism, or better said, tourism development through architecture. As such, the authors adopted content base analysis, qualitative research method with data from secondary sources. Nigeria offers a wide variety of tourist attractions such as extended and roomy rivers and ocean beaches ideal for swimming and other water sports, unique wildlife, vast tracts of unspoiled nature ranging from tropical forest, magnificent waterfalls, some new rapidly growing cities and climatic conditions in some parts particularly conducive to holidaying. Other attractions include traditional ways of life preserved in local customs rich and varied handicrafts and other colorful products depicting or illustrative of native arts and lifestyle. Nigerians need to immediately realize that there are lots to gain from an environmentally friendly eco cultural tourism business than the current over dependency on mineral exploitation and exploration for export earnings. The various challenges and constraints facing tourism sector must need to be eradicated or ameliorated. There should be a sub regional and regional collaboration to establish economically viable monuments and heritage sites in the country. In order to checkmate the security concerns of tourist and the tourist centers, well coordinated tourism security committee compromising of all security agencies and host communities should be set up.
