For the vignettes, 48
Prompt #48: "the false man"
I am so, so sorry that this took so long to finish. This lends itself to a few different ideas, but I hope you like this one, Anon.
(Full vignette list here.)
Façades
The wolf that hides behind the gnome The fury lurking 'neath the stone The assassin behind a metal dome The rage that mourns alone
Beware the claws, beware the teeth Attacking like a raging flood Beware the wolf that waits beneath And worse the curse that's in their blood
The hammer strikes without remorse From chaos springs a deadly rage Revels in violence, blood, and force As freedom from its painful cage
Conflicts breed within them strife With dual purpose, grace and death From aeons past, a different life To rob you of your very breath
With sword that dances swift and true And poisoned grief within their soul A swift death they will grant to you Though every death increase its toll
Each presents a different face Depending on the time and place But behind the eyes the danger lies And there will be no saving grace
So pray now to your many gods Pray that your death comes quick to you For blood will soon be spilled anew If you should see past the façades

The pavilion featured a spectacular facade full of protuberances, vaguely reminiscent of the Pedrera building by Antoni Gaudí. The main door was flanked by two pillars representing two female legs wearing stockings and high-heeled shoes. Through the openings of  the irregular façade, visitors could see reproductions of the Saint John the Baptist by Leonardo da Vinci and The Birth of Venus by Botticelli. Between the painter's initial ideas and the [...]
