So first the matter of fact here... Cortez is using Bishop's own powers to burn him out, only for Neophyte to distract him just long enough for Logan to come in and put him down...
Now... what is interesting to me here is that Ororo is like "Bishop! No don't kill!" and then Logan DOES go for the kill and... not a word... its ok if Wolverine does it for some reason.
Jim Lee sure knows how to draw that square jawed, five-o-clock shadow look doesn’t he. That could be Bruce Wayne from Hush underneath that helmet for all I know. Ok ok focus Gaknar, what’s going on here. Fabian Cortez and his Acolytes are low key manipulating Magneto into being a terrorist again and Magneto is barely attempting to resist the urge, and the X-Men are there to fight them and other than Rogue they are barely resisting the urge to be a bunch of unthinking maniac vigilantes.
Man the X-Men sure go down easy in this fight, and Magneto’s heart is barely in it. How did they get those shackles on Wolverine and Cyclops?? I guess that’s what needs to happen when we are moving at the speed of plot. (X-Men Volume 2 #2 - Nov 1991)
The aftermath of Sinister experimentation gone horribly wrong - Fabian Cortez's awful ponytail gained self-awareness and now scuttles around and feeds on mutant power. It answers to "Vince."
Can’t wait for the end of Judgement Day, when Fabian Cortez is judged to be such a pure and superior being that the entire earth is spared for his sake.
Fabian is the head of the Acolytes, a group of the underground that has helped Magnus' revolution in the industry. All radio stations and a few casinos across New Genosha are in their possession, streaming all they desire at any time. At this point, also what their dear Lord Magnus desires. They possess a clever network of knowledge distribution that he utilizes for the sake of the industry. And their deal is never broken and one of the most loyal in the city.
Unless, of course, Fabian sees better money on the other side of the river, with Shaw and refuses to have Magnus allied with the boar. And so, the "Betrayer's Contracts" begin.
Gamesmaster comes to Cortez and tells him that not only did Bishop not die, but that they are taking away his points for the death of Magneto... it takes Cortez a second to realize what that means, but you can see the exact moment where he realizes he is 100% fucked.
