THE FIRST BOOK OF THE CAMORRA CHRONICLES !!! I finally reached it!! I've been wanting to see the Camorra's since that scene with Remo in {Bound by Love}!! and to have a book about Fabiano is amazing! I really liked young Fabiano and was excited to have a book about him!! This book was so freaking saaaad!! I really felt sorry for Fabiano!! I was really angry at his sisters when they left him in Chicago that time at lily's wedding even though they have known how much of a bastard their father was!! and to see how much that affected Fabiano, and what he went through after that broke my heart! He changed a lot, and I really don't blame him!! I LOVED Remo for what he did for Fabiano!! I actually liked the Falcone brothers!! and so excited to read their books!

If I want to summarize the things I liked in this book into points, it's going to be like this: - Remo - Falcone brothers - Fabiano's Character growth!

I really didn't like Leona that much!! Sometimes she shows mind-blowing confidence in herself I don't know where it comes from!! for me, Leona was just an extra in the book! my highlights in the book are the Falcones and Fabiano scenes!!

Serafina: looks intimidating but is actually very nice, is effortlessly stunning, they might get hurt but they won’t break, naturally so seductive they don’t even notice it, makes big decisions independently and in private, always confident even when they’re not

Remo: nothing can surprise them, somehow very good at chess and can always predict your next move, has a high tolerance for both emotional and physical pain, no one will ever prove that they killed someone, will kill and die for their loved ones

Nino: feel no emotions and show no emotions, doesn’t panic - ever, a tattoo artist, doesn’t give a fuck about how they look in other people’s eyes, can stitch themselves up after a fight, probably reads classics, no reaction when others would burst with emotions

Adamo: can fix up any car, long car drives to clear their head, drinks coffee so bitter no one else can even taste it, ice cold showers, the black sheep in the family, will get married in secret and with no witnesses, knows when to fight and when to bite their tongue

Savio: takes nothing personally, humor as a defense system, eats tons of junk food and still is always fit, can switch from fun to deadly in a second, you can’t embarrass them no matter how hard you try, can easily navigate in any city, will do what needs to be done

Leona: has both street and academic smarts, can put someone in their place with just a few words, probably knows many languages, diplomacy so mastered they’re always professional, has a personal library, looks so damn good in a suit, always knows everyone’s motives

Fabiano: loyal but not forgiving, has a weapon hidden in every room of the house, actually takes walks to calm down, always has a plan B, usually the designated driver, feels no envy for their friends’ success, not interested in small talk or social gatherings

“I cleared my throat. “Are there any parts off limits for me?”

Nino raised his dark eyebrows. “Like the Dark Arts area?”

I froze, speechless, frozen, and utterly shocked. I swallowed. “Did you … did you just make a Harry Potter reference?” He must have noticed me touching the books.

“I did,” he said dryly, and I had to stifle laughter.

“Don’t tell me you read the books.”

“I didn’t read them for my own enjoyment. I read them to Adamo when we were on the run. He was obsessed with them, and Remo didn’t have the necessary patience to read bedtime stories. Besides, he had a habit of letting the Death Eaters and Voldemort win, and that upset Adamo when he was little.”
