Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck, Webby Vanderquack and Gosalyn Mallard - Alternative version of Ducktales 2017
Granted, I don't have the Ducktales reboot art book, but I certainly found valuable information and designs here. Yes, I've seen some alternatives and the best one for me is definitely Fabien Mense's character design for the Ducktales reboot. But other alternatives did not turn out badly. For some characters I like the alternate version better, and for some the official version I showed. So I decided to draw alternate versions of some Ducktales characters that I liked, drawing in my own style, combining the classic style with those designs.
So I drew Huey, Dewey and Louie along with Webby and a separate drawing of Gosalyn to look like in alternate versions. I made them all wear jeans and changed the way they wore their hair a bit. I also added a cap for Louie to wear backwards to make him look more cool. It's a shame they didn't do it in the official series. I mean I love that Huey wears a hat, but it would be nice if Dewey and Louie both wore hats in their own ways. For Louie, definitely backwards hat. I only missed about his hair, my fault. Yes, they all wear sneakers, but you can't see it in this drawing. And interesting how this alternate version of Webby looks more like Gosalyn from the OG Darkwing Duck.
I definitely drew them to look like 10-year-olds, or pre-teens, to be appropriate for Ducktales, as well as feel like a mix of the 1990s and present-day vibe. I hope you like these drawings and these ideas. Also thanks for @lettheladylead , for posting the photo from The Art of Ducktales book which inspired me to draw this.

Couldn't find the promo art for this episode (tvtropes uses this:
but I don't know if it's actually related), so have some early concept art
And one SUPER early exploration sketch by Fabien Mense feat. a character that didn't make it past the idea stage
Whoa, thank you for sharing all of this cool official/concept art!
(cut for length)
Starting at the top: I'd hazard a guess that this is actually some sort of promo piece for the episode, given King's nervous glance at the fly here added to the fact that Willow and Gus are riding around on a fly during the episode. So, it checks out!
Luz being obliviously cheerful while King is distressed about Willow and Gus makes up a good part of the episode, so as usual, it feels as if this really captures the episode's emotional core.
Now for some assorted thoughts about the concept art, in order...
Seems as though this early version of Luz took potions a bit more seriously. I like this sharper style, too!
Oooh, this next one appears to be Luz's beta design specifically, so that's probably beta King with her! Nice.
(beta Luz, probably: don't talk to me or my son ever again)
I think this one's been sent in before, actually? But I appreciate being able to see it in greater detail!
Judging by the fact Luz has a striped shirt in this one, I'd guess this was made close to the same time as the first one...
Also, seeing this one clearly, it looks as though the early version of Eda's necklace was a bit more detailed, which is intriguing!
That last one is quite interesting. It seems that Eda and her curse have been core components to the story from very early on... good to know!
Generic Blonde Hero Guy looks fun but was his name literally William Test
a test character named Test. this is great
he feels like the kind of character Luz would write into her self-insert fantasy story and that's also great
early Owlbeast seems to have a bit more conscious thought attached to her compared to the Owlbeast we have now... or maybe it just seems that way because her eyes aren't blacked out..? Hmm.
Once again, thanks for sending this art in! It's very fun to be able to see all of it.

Redesigning Victor from Victor & Valentino. I wanted to see if I could make a compromise between the concept art drawn by Fabien Mense (LINK) and the show's final design.

Robin Hood
From an animated show called “Robin Hood: Mischief in Sherwood”. It’s pretty good for a kids show and like his design.
