Ur helmet looks so good what did you make it out of?

Thank you! This time around I didn’t make the base, it’s a resin cast made by Xcoser, I just modified some parts (visor and vents mostly) and repainted it.

I think I’m gonna add more padding and install some chin straps later on, but going pretty slow with the full armor project, the UAC space marine armor already costed me a couple of hundreds in materials and I’m not exactly the definition of rich 😅

Carolina for the ask game :)

First impression

I initially thought she was cool, but a little too serious... which was the whole point, she's INTENSE, but we get little glimpses of her fun side. I figured she was going to just kinda be there to help tell more of the backstory with Project Freelancer, but not be involved much beyond that...

Impression now

LOVE THIS LADY. Listen, she's just as much of a dork as all the dudes, but also still an absolute butt-kicker. Plus the whole scene when she takes off her helmet? And we see her eyes??? AND THEY'RE THE SAME AS THE DIRECTORS????? Oh man, and she arguably spends more time around Tex and Church (Epsilon) than her own parents... but even though they never specifically met, Alpha KNEW who she was. I love that when she was too harsh, her theme was trying to ignore other people and how much she was hurting on the inside; now she's right in the middle of this big chaotic found-family mess, she's accepted her mistakes, figured out the truth in her connection to Tex, bonded with Epsilon, reunited with Wash, and is part of the gang with the Reds and Blues~

Favorite moment

Probably the sequence in Long Time No See, because both she and Epsilon (along with the other memories of the AI Fragments) was just freaking POETIC CINEMA. Also, her asking Grif for relaxation lessons, and bullying her way into the band

Idea for a story

In my larger RVB Story-line, I un-kill Tex and Church, plus the Fragments are back as well... this is obviously a LOT of emotions to go through, but ultimately, a good thing~ For some fun AU stuff, I combined RVB with Tooth Fairy (because somebody has to, I guess), but I have to push even further beyond the rules established in the movie (yes, THAT movie, with Rock the Dwayne Johnson), adding in other fairytale/folklore as well... and Carolina discovers that her father actually got into some shady business with magical folk (and she almost got changeling-kidnapped as a baby, but Church saved her... though, her memories are blurred and his are a whole mess)

Unpopular opinion

I have no idea if it is unpopular or not... but she don't shave her legs or under her arms or wherever else. Carolina don't care

Favorite relationship

Her and Epsilon getting to know each other and realizing that even if they didn't have a certain SOMEBODY in common, they would still WANT to be a family. He's her bro, she's his sister, and it is so important! Her friendship with Wash is great too, especially when you look at how they weren't super close in the Freelancer days, and they've both come into the group being somewhat antagonistic (in varying degrees), but they finally get comfortable with the others and find a new relationship with each other. I personally love the potential of her bonding with Tucker, and the Reds deciding she's on their team because Carolina is a redhead~

Favorite headcanon

One of mine is; she didn't get to do a lot of regular kid stuff growing up... but she was totally an anime nerd!

When she was young and not yet Loop, barely even L-i18, she dreamed of the sky. What was a horizon? A distant line? Somehow the biggest thing in the world and yet too mundane or secret that the handlers never spoke of it. Maybe they missed it too. Maybe it was in their dreams as they slept hundreds of meters below the sea and the sky and the horizon.

Not-Loop kept most of her curiosity bottled up. Questions were rarely tolerated. Could she miss something she cannot remember? Or maybe she hadn't seen it at all. Not-Loop, little L-i18, didn't remember a time when looking up didn't treat her to the same view of gray reinforced metal or the darkest, deepest blue.

The sky was a far away thing; a fairy tale, like family and friends. And safety.

This was back when Indie was Indie, before L-i18 killed her. Indie used to be alive and the sky was a dream and even if most nights were met with bruises and bloody knees, little L-i18 had a friend and someone to share her questions with. What if they saw the sky together someday?

Now Loop was Loop and she had seen so many skies. Different dimensions had different elements which meant different resources which meant color combinations her childhood imagination couldn't even begin to conceive.

Seeing the sky always felt like a half-step. Moving forward, but always that moment of hesitation. That urge to look to her side, where Indie was supposed to be.

They were supposed to see it, together.

But L-i18 had killed I-i12. She would never see the sky and Loop sees too many. Indie is dead and Loop is alive and that means she must work. Indie is dead and Deep Blue needs maintenance and Loop is alive so she must perform it. Deep Blue killed her handlers and now Loop is the one left to do the work.

Alone again. The work continues. Loop keeps moving forward, one step, then another. The hesitation never leaves.
