I was also thinking of why do I keep adding make up to his design, it's like he doesn't look finished without red lipstick and eyeshadows to me. Or maybe I just want him to look like a disney princess 🫠🫠🫠

people who do STEM or administration as a career full time and continue to do art as a hobby, I am scared of you but like in a hot way. youre like if we were allowed to have cold drinks in winter. i look at you and think of miles morales with his two cakes. do you want to make out sometime

#i say all of this positively bc i just! i cant help admiring it!! even if its mundane or not a big deal to you i seriously cant wrap my head #around it.. this is in no way at all meant to be condescending or anything. whenever i look at someones bio and theyre like oh im working #as a lab assistant biologist pharmacist realtor etc im like woag.... thats insane.. and then i peep your art tag and it knocks my socks of #how?? what lives do you lead??? im so curious. i seriously want a peek inside your brains someday. or at least shadow you at work lol #i cant help but feel sad when someone says smth like well i have to support myself and art cant do that for me. or maybe you were #pushed into pursuing a 'safe' career bc i hear it a lot. all of my relatives have the same story working as nurses and OFWs for the family #i think for me its not about missed potential but rather its being sad about making a decision to put your happiness aside to get by #ive tried so hard to do it but it didnt work out. i guess watching you guys do it is fascinating to me #or maybe youve made peace with your decision or actually like what you pursued but im still amazed!! it makes me wonder what made #you pick one over the other in that case.. is it like putting time for two different things the way you would for a schedule?? hmmm #im doing graphic design so i dont really interact with ppl in other faculties even humanities like sociology or childcare... so i cant help #wondering what it must be like as someone whos pursuing visual communication both as an interest and career #i seriously wish i could do smth like a desk job or even admin and maybe ill try that if this doesnt work. or i could look into trades #but dyscalculia already makes it hard to do things like cash and mental math so i get overwhelmed if i think about this too hard #yapping

the rwd season 4 qna inspired me to start thinking about college au headcanons except a lot of these are gonna be really specific to my school and y'all are just gonna have to deal with that <3

Kyana feeds some of the school cats. she would feed all of them if she could

Dani smuggled Plug (the scrawniest black cat you've ever seen) into her dorm room illegally and somehow management hasn't caught her yet (based on a true story) (Kyana visits to see Plug all the time)

Finbar keeps an updated tier list of every canteen in the school with breakdowns of the best stalls/dishes for each

A senior from the school of engineering once said to me 'all the engineering people dress like rats cuz our classrooms don't have aircon' (context: tropics) anyway that's Dani

Kyana would probably be involved in a lot of freshman orientation events from second year onwards. she just likes talking to the new kids and giving them advice like she would be the kind of orientation group leader who'd get messages from her freshies asking about all kinds of random nonsense because she's made sure they know they can always contact her with questions

VR-LA is The Guy you go to for textbook pirating resources

(this is more of a 'wouldn't that be funny' but VR-LA is just Veerle's discord handle)

Docent is the name of VR-LA's old laptop that broke down so he gave it to Cassimere (computer engineering major he met once at a networking event) to fix except Cassimere got everything off the hard drive and then somehow managed to fuck it up Even More so he had to get a new laptop (and named it Emi)

Roy has gotten food poisoning from his dorm meal plan at least once (based on at least one true story)

The heap trio + Mandy would be those friends constantly playing majong in the dorm lounge and if all the majong tables are taken they just play in one of their dorm rooms on a towel to dampen the tile shuffling noises (it was Mandy's idea)

Every morning Dani goes to the drinks stall at her faculty and orders one iced coffee to the point where the stall owner starts preparing an iced coffee whenever they see her approach (based on my true story)

Roy would be one of those people who goes clubbing every other week and every time he tries to drag the rest of the heap trio and Egan almost always goes and Dani would go if she didn't have a good excuse but always begrudgingly. anyway Roy would always be the only one having a good time until Egan gets drunk enough to start having fun

Finbar actually uses the dorm kitchens instead of just buying canteen food and it always makes the hallways smell really good

Vhas also uses the dorm kitchen sometimes but like. one time i walked into the pantry on my floor and someone had left cut sweet potatoes and 2 eggs in an inch of water in a pan on the stove. that's Vhas

Kyana's constantly applying for overseas exchanges and international summer/winter school programmes. the world is large and she wants to see it!

Maxim's the definition of a hall phantom. you know he lives on your dorm floor because you pass him by in the hallways sometimes and literally nowhere else. sometimes you're not convinced that he actually exists

VR-LA and Maxim's friendship stems from them being from wildly different faculties (VR-LA's in STEM, Maxim's doing anthropology so arts/social sciences) but also having lots of weird interests they cant really bug anyone in their home faculties about

Elyse is in student government and every once in a while Finbar receives a series of angry texts about the newest idiocy she's had to put up with

MR-SN and AS-TR start a stargazing club together. other notable members include AS-TR's girlfriend E-DN, MR-SN's friend C-RA (the one who always volunteers to carry the heavy ass telescopes) and MR-SN's friend K-LB who he pestered into coming to fix one of the wonky scopes even though K-LB's actually in electrical engineering but he's the only engineering person MR-SN (an arts student) knows

oh and of course VR-LA joins because he genuinely just likes space (developing a crush on his club chairperson was not on his bingo card)

Kyana and E-DN were MMA sparring buddies at one point which is how she found out about the stargazing and joined immediately

honestly i can probably think of more but this post is fuckin long LMAO

It's so stupid that universities always assume that it is only students who have disabilities and only students who need accommodations

#disability support for faculty is pretty non-existent #outside of what is minimally legally required #even with a lot of universities pushing universal design for courses #there is little thought paid to access for faculty and staff

Means of Production: Indigenous Patterns, Forms, and Letters Join Fillip and design educators Christopher and Kathleen Sleboda (nłeʔképmx) of Draw Down Books on Saturday, January 27, for a typography workshop presented in collaboration with the Jake Kerr Faculty of Graduate Studies at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Christopher and Kathleen Sleboda will guide participants through a hands-on program intended to deepen understanding of the profound connection between language, culture, and design, with a particular focus on the nuances and cultural specificity of Indigenous patterns from Native North American communities. The workshop will encourage individuals to consider the stories and symbolism behind each stroke and curve, and explore the intricate relationship between cultural heritage and the visual language of typography.

Entrance is free but space is limited, and registration is required. All are welcome; priority registration will be provided for Indigenous participants.

i need 2 make like. a hiwatari meta sometime i think. need to talk about how daisuke recognizes satoshi as a friend but is nevertheless still sheltered and ignorant of satoshi's circumstances. daisuke doesn't know satoshi's loneliness or grief or sorrow. he doesn't know satoshi's fear of finding something important to hold onto or bonding with anybody, doesn't know his loss! daisuke literally can't imagine it, and of course he can't, his house is loud. he's always surrounded by loved ones and being helped, to the extent that his personal insecurities parallel satoshi's: daisuke feels he struggles to do anything by himself while satoshi struggles to accept anyone else's help. esp now that the series is over i think it's pretty clear that during the most debated upon scene (ie satoshi's 'you don't understand me at all') daisuke was genuinely missing a few pieces of information to go along with his faith in satoshi, namely of krad's personality and functionality, (and satoshi's own hurt,) just as much as satoshi was also actively pushing daisuke away instead of rejecting krad. daisuke merges with and becomes dark by the end of everything, but satoshi alone, as a character, his turmoil is that he has to refuse krad over and over and the aspects of loveless, lifeless jealousy and control that krad represents for the hikari. there's so much more to dark n krad n the niwa n the hikari if not daisuke n satoshi alone but. wooogh

Breakthrough to Circular and Emission-Free Building - Technology Org

The building industry faces enormous challenges. By 2050, the built environment must not only be emission-free, but also circular.

Within the NWA programme titled ‘Transition to a circular and emission-free building industry’, UT is contributing to research to facilitate the transition required to meet these challenges. UT researcher Marc van den Berg (Faculty of Engineering Technology) and colleagues are focusing on the digital aspects of supporting material reuse and recycling processes as part of this research.

Renovation projects are complex challenges characterised by intensive decision-making and organisational activities. Such projects connect a variety of otherwise fragmented disciplines, including designers, builders and demolition companies.

Crucial for fostering more circular renovation practices with lower emissions is the availability of information on reusable materials and design strategies which factor in the preservation of existing value.

Collaborative, Digitised and Integral Processes to Achieve Circular and Emission-Free Renovation (PACER)

The PACER (Collaborative, Digitised and Integral Processes to Achieve Circular and Emission-Free Renovation) project, in which UT is represented, aims to provide collaborative, digitised, integral processes, tools, and legal and economic frameworks to achieve circular and emission-free renovation practices.

Dutch Research Agenda (NWA)

This programme of the Dutch Research Agenda (NWA) focuses on existing buildings and invites interdisciplinary consortia to investigate how buildings can be renovated in a circular and emission-free manner by studying a concrete case at the street or neighbourhood level. Societal and technical perspectives of circular and emission-free construction are jointly included.

Transition of the construction sector

The aim of the thematic NWA programme titled ‘Transition to a circular and emission-free building industry’ is to achieve breakthroughs and develop action perspectives that contribute to the transition of the building industry, primarily in relation to renovation projects. The NWA programme is organised in association with the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, NWO and the Taskforce for Applied Research SIA.

Within the NWA programme, two broad multidisciplinary consortia will spend the next five years carrying out research to advance the transition to circular and emission-free building, with significant involvement of professional experts in the sector. The total funding awarded under the programme is approximately €2,865,000.

selainius is a weird case since she’s built to be krupp’s foil, teahide is nice but she has Classics Bias (shakespeare), and biamile is also nice but he’s so ineffective at actually running the school that it keeps getting into Issues(tm)

Jacq's actual name is ZINIA[ジニア]: as in Zinnia. Funny enough the Zinnia in English was name Higana, another name for the Red Spider Lily, which features prominently in the Victory Road of Omega/Alpha Hoenn.

Tyme I mentioned... TAIMU[タイム] as in Thyme.

Raifort's name is REHOORU[レホール] which is a pretty rough Japanese approximation of the French Raifort. It's the French word for horseradish.

Dendra's name is KIHADA[キハダ] from Kihada[黄蘗] the Amur cork tree (Phellodendron amurense), known for its bright yellow coloration. that extends not only to the flowers and leaves but the interior of the bark.

Hassel I've covered before too. His name in Japanese is HASSAKU[ハッサク] from hassaku[八朔], a type of large orange cultivated in Japan.

Salvatore's name is just SEIJI[セイジ] as in the herb, Sage.

Oh wow i thought fore sure Saguaro would've been an English localization choice, but no. His name actually was SAWARO[サワロ] as in the Saguaro cactus.

Miriam's name is MIMOSA[ミモザ ] as in the plant Mimosa, not necessarily the drink. Notable in the genus of mimosa flowers is the touch-me-not.
