Entry Fee: As soon as your character enters the event, they will be given a drink that is laced with ethereum. Your character has to drink this in order to enter, so please don’t try and do any workarounds here unless your character wants to immediately back out and not enter the property.

Entertainment: Though this circle will look and function most similarly to parties your characters may have attended in the past, rest assured the Pendragons have spared no expense or excess in their preparations and decorations. The world is broken; in pieces, the State of Calamity is fit only for the descriptor of ruination. Where supernaturals have always roamed the Earthern plain, the world they stand in now is post-war; a result of the last near apocalypse that left them in a place that can only be rebuilt from the ground up.

And it is being forged into something new. Though, not all would see it that way.

It’s unspoken that there’s a natural way Calamity has been split into factions; self-made suburbs of the State and new a approach to living in a war-ready world is created.

The North, East, South and the West have each been overtaken by force; fragmented into lawless districts. Each home to the fragile alliances of the mixed species; a city bordered by both a southern coast and an eastern forest, some terrains aren’t holding as solid ground as much as they’d like it to. The trade, life and existence remains ongoing within the State. It simply has to.

Not all would see change; not all would see peace ever reached.

And some only want to live.

Where do you stand?

CALAMITOUSRPG is a 21+ RP that is heavily based on supernatural creatures within a dark modern/dystopian setting and inspired by a variety of classical and original lore. It revolves around a crumbling world; the State of Calamity that has been divided into suburbs and sides in which characters can build and explore; a place reliant of alliances for survival and territorial hierarchies that keep the plain from breaking out into a war. We strive for inclusivity, are extremely friendly and focus on character development opportunities in an atmospheric setting!

A mysterious invitation has been sent out to every single person in the city. Rich, or poor. Young, or old. No matter the species or what leader they answer to, all have been given an opportunity to make this a memorable Halloween. The population whispers, rumors spread surrounding the motivation behind such a massive event, but the Pendragon’s are an ancient vampire family with money and time at their disposal, and room to spare at their Upper St. Vladimir’s property bordering the Bloodhearth county line. Now that the mourning period for their late daughter comes to an end, they re-enter the social sphere with a bang. Their wealth is legendary, and their connections are even more so. It’s a wonder they haven’t done something of this scale sooner.

And the theme for this special Halloween event? A masqueraded journey through seven circles of Hell. Travel through your darkest fears, beloved vices, pleasures beyond comprehension to reach the end, the inner circle. An exclusive and costly soiree that only the bravest and most curious among us can hope to reach. The Pendragons have thought of it all, and what they haven’t thought of their money has thought of for them. The only thing for their guests to do is find a costume, grab a friend, and join them on October 31st for a twenty-four hour revel you will never forget.

Welcome to the spookiest month of the year! This month we’ll be having one major event that happens for 24 hours in-game time. In real-time we’ll be dragging it out over the course of a full week (schedule below). That’s right, for a week we’ll be posting small little plot drops to keep things moving at this Masquerade Ball. Additionally, the Pendragon’s will be hiring some Redcap muscle to run security at the event, so if your Redcap wants to take on that position, feel free! 

Some things to keep in mind: 

There will be 7 different circles with 7 different themes your character can enter over the course of the party. They must pass through each in order to get to the most exclusive part of the party, the inner circle. Not everyone will want to make it that far, some of the entry requirements might have them turning back, or maybe they’ll be up for the challenge and the status granted to inner circle members. The themes of each circle are a secret for now, and will be revealed over the coming weeks one at a time in no particular order. The member with the highest XP in Discord chat will pick the first circle they’d like revealed, and so on down the line. We’ll message you when it’s your turn to pick which circle’s theme and entry requirement is revealed next. Stay tuned as we update this post.

The NHPs and MONIST Entities are actually the mythological fey as documented and analysed by a highly advanced sci-fi civilisation

Think about it

Unshackled NHPs have different perceptions of time and morality than humans, are far more metaphysically powerful, and have no physical form.

That is literally just classical fey

Which Playable Monster in Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy is Most Likely to Eat Their Enemies?

Alright because my main job from like last week until May 10th is just to post as much as possible to get Eureka as well-known as possible before the Kickstarter, here’s another.

Alright, so, PCs Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy can be monsters, I’m sure you all know this by now. If you don’t, go download the rulebook and read Chapter 8.

These monsters tend to eat people, inherently. And, not to stereotype them, because monsters in Eureka tend to otherwise be regular people and have very little of a “built-in” personality that comes with their monsterhood, but based on nothing else but the type of monster they are, which one of the five playable monsters do you think would be most likely to eat you just because you pissed them off?

I’ll reveal the correct answer in a week when the poll closes. Choose wisely, or get eaten.

It might be a good idea to check Chapter 8 in the Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy rulebook for some hints.
