I might have controversial opinions on the "Faerghus Four." Mostly that it doesn't exist, and at worst, it exists to exclude Dedue.
Yes, Dimitri, Ingrid, Sylvain, and Felix grew up together, but that was as children. While that history is significant to their relationships, it ignores everything after. With the tragedy of Duscur, Dimitri and Dedue became inseparable while Felix was sickened by them, Ingrid couldn't overlook Dedue's connection to the tragedy, and Sylvain's apathy grew.
Past the age of ~15, you can't ignore how Dedue and the tragedy affects their relationships. I don't see just the four of them as a friend group, especially not without him because he's so important to Dimitri and the themes of Faerghus.

"In the following years, the nobles of Faerghus were changed drastically as they rebuilt their home.
But some things, never change."
Bonus! (they all had to go to a meeting too RIP)

the way the blue lions love felix so – the way they want to reach him but he’s always just beyond their grasp – felix who went away from himself after his brother’s death, after being told it was something honourable and true, after seeing his best friend relish in killing – severing all string to everyone and everything, screaming abuse, almost begging them to leave him, all so they won’t have to die like glenn did – and yet they still reach, and still love

I feel very strongly about the Faerghus Four being extremely tactile friends. Always reaching out for a high five or a pat on the back. Arms slung around shoulders. Squeezing each other's arms. Greeting with a hug. Sylvain gives great neck massages. Dimitri uses a hand to guide them through doors. Ingrid trims their hair during the school year. Felix likes to sit shoulder to shoulder (even if he'll inevitably get mad when they move too much). I could go on.
