hey you know what would be fun? a fic where the Royal Guard follows through with their plans to make Ichigo the new Soul King and Grimmjow promptly loses his shit because what the actual fuck Ichigo has already given these people literally everything, twice, and this is how they repay him? recruits Nel and Harribel and Urahara and Yoruichi (after Nel sits on him for a while because Jesus Christ Grimmjow you can’t storm Soul Society by yourself no matter how much you’ve powered up) and it’s the Ryoka Invasion all over again except with pissed off arrancar instead. I just think it would be neat

wait, who's Kevin?
Kevin is wickhills One Singular Cop whose primary narrative purpose is to look as lame and pathetic as possible at all times. he issues parking tickets and responds to noise complaints in between getting absolutely bodied humiliatingly by the adams and other local crime gays. virgil permits kevins neighborhood pixies and goblins to mildly terrorize him with pranks.

Now that I have finished watching "Grimm Variations" on netflix, allow me to express my opinion of each chapter with these brief words:
1) Cinderella: Oh! So good! This is looking awesome! 😀
2) Little Red Riding Hood: OH MY GOD! NOO! STOP! OH MY GOD! 😨😱
3) Hansel & Gretel: Please don't smoke funny weed during working hours. Thank you. 😑
4) The Elves and the Shoemaker: Not bad, I like this adaptation. 🤔
5) The Town Musicians of Bremen: GO! GO! LESBIANS! 😁
6) Pied Piper of Hamelin: Please don't smoke funny weed or consume substances of questionable origin during working hours. Thank you very much x2. 😑🤦🏻♀️

takeda ittetsu has big widower energy. ESPECIALLY in the beginning. he’s just a lonely guy trying to find an outlet for all his love and inject some purpose into his life! he’s willing to give these kids his life savings because he no longer wants to imagine his future now that his spouse is gone. he doesn’t mind staying late for practice because he has no one to come home to. he’s angry at the universe, and it manifests as him clawing and gnashing at opportunities for these kids because like hell will he let fate be unkind to them. he has to relearn how to make healthy sacrifices out of love as opposed to breaking his back out of guilt and a sense of obligation.
idk why but adding some grief and survivor’s guilt to takeda’s arc just makes it better. it ties the whole thing together
