Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Things that I did when I decided I didn’t want to be a “lukewarm” Christian anymore:
Went through my closet and got rid of any immodest clothing
I started buying more modest clothes including bikini cover up’s
Stopped partaking in clubbing, partying and inappropriate events
Got rid of my horoscope app as well as horoscope jewelry and decor
Stopped manifesting ( listening to subliminals, saying dear universe and thank you universe, meditating , using evil eye emoji and believing in evil eye to protect me)
Started to give thanks before my meals ( I forget sometimes but I try)
Stopped using swear words ( I slip up sometimes but I still actively try)
Stopped saying “oh my God” “Jheez” because it’s blasphemy
Started to read my Bible every day regardless of how I feel ( it’s hard and I struggle still but I do)
Cleaned out my Spotify playlist with songs that seemed worldly ( songs with swear words, inappropriate beliefs, violence, premarital sex, and other sins)
Made 60 percent of my playlist Christian music and 40 percent clean secular music that doesn’t promote sin in any way
I purchased a Bible journal and a new Bible ( that’s bigger and better to read from)
I openly tell people I’m Christian with no shame ( eg: before, if someone invited me clubbing I would say no I can’t and make an excuse and now I say no I can’t because I’m Christian or that was in my past I’m not lukewarm anymore)
I started watching more Christian YouTubers
I stopped watching certain shows and movies (eg: euphoria, YOU, any horror movies)
Stopped seeking worldly and unequally yoked guys ( so I stopped going on dating apps)

The Shadow of Death
A religious painting by William Holman Hunt, on which he worked from 1870 to 1873, during his second trip to the Holy Land. It depicts Jesus as a young man prior to his ministry, working as a carpenter. He is shown stretching his arms after sawing wood. The shadow of his outstretched arms falls on a wooden spar on which carpentry tools hang, creating a "shadow of death" prefiguring the crucifixion. His mother Mary is depicted from behind, gazing up at the shadow, having been looking into a box in which she has kept the gifts given by the Magi. x

Dream girl journey as a Christian Woman ♡ ✞
When you think of your ideal self and your goals to get there make sure the steps align with your faith and include faith in your journey.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clothing: if you’re thinking about changing your style and getting a new wardrobe make sure you buy pieces that can be styled modestly. Prior look through your closet and make sure any pieces that aren’t modest to you / aren’t your style and get rid of them by donating them to a charity / clothing drive
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jewellery:Make sure any jewellery that doesn’t honour Jesus is removed from your collection( zodiac signs, evil eye , crystals). Cross necklaces honour God and shows our faith.
Appearance: Don’t do your hair or makeup for the purpose of others ( jealousy, envy, lust,) and vanity. Do not focus your appearance to fit in with others. Wearing makeup isn’t a sin doing your hair or nails as a Christian isn’t a sin but vanity is (egoism) spend more time in Gods word than about how you look like.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Routine: Think about your ideal dream self how often does she bible study? Is she involved in the church or has a fellowship? Does she have extracurriculars like tennis, piano lessons, does she workout ? Does she get up early ? Make sure have a schedule/ routine to make time for God and to read your Bible daily and honour Christ within your busy day. Get a planner and write down what you’re committed to and create an alarm if you have to.
Tumblr media
Dream girl characteristics: Include characteristics of women from the bible eg: a Proverbs 31 woman:
Her lamp does not go out at night.”Proverbs‬ ‭31:18‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy.”Proverbs‬ ‭31:20‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”Proverbs‬ ‭31:26‬ ‭ESV‬‬
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Habits: Think about the habits you want your dream girl to have and what you need to get there. Think about as s Christian woman what you need to work on ( being more charitable and kinder, spreading your faith, using more appropriate language, listening to more Christian worship music. Think of the steps to get there and what you habits you need to form (eg volunteering for charity work, having a ministry, using alternative words instead of cuss words, adding Christian songs to your playlist)

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” —Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
“Faith pleases God” By Vickysforum
“Without faith it is impossible to please God. It pleases God when His children live by faith. Faith requires walking by and standing on God’s Word. Faith requires us to believe that what God says will indeed happen and that His Word is true. It is by faith that we believe what we have not yet seen, we believe what has not happened will come to pass in accordance with the Word of God. Faith can move mountains; with faith we speak to the mountains of life. We are saved by grace through faith. Faith is such an important part of christian life, it helps us live victorious lives through Jesus. We know where our power comes from and who is our Source and we claim those things promised by God into our lives through faith.
Life is full of uncertainties, it is full of storms. When we do not know who to rely on, we will easily be moved by the storms of life. We have to know God personally and not fight our battles as the world does. We know whose we are and we fight our battles in a different manner. The Word of God is our sword, and faith is the shield we use to extinguish the flaming arrows from the enemy. Without faith, our armor for fighting spiritual battles will be incomplete, without faith we will lack the shield needed to protect ourselves from the evil one. Faith helps us speak to our situations to align with the Word of God. We are to use the sword of the Spirit through faith.
The Bible says that the one who overcomes the world is the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. Matters of God require faith; we have not yet seen God yet we believe He does indeed exist and He is with us every step of the way. Salvation is by grace through faith; we have to believe Jesus died for us and took our sins away through His death and resurrection. We have to believe Jesus is our Lord and Savior. Our power and authority is in Jesus. When we believe we are no longer controlled by sin, we are no longer of the world. We are heirs with Christ through faith. We claim the promises of God through faith.
But scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. Galatians 3:22.
Jesus came to save us from the penalty of sin and death. He, being God, humbled Himself and became man, so that through Him we might be saved. Jesus is a manifestation to us how much God loves us.
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful words. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. Hebrews 1:3.
Jesus now seats at the right hand of God interceding for us and He will come back again to take us home on the day of resurrection. When we receive Him and believe in His name, He gives us the right to become children of God.
God is our Father and He tells us to ask and it will be given unto us. We have to believe when we ask and not doubt. We go to God in prayer and make our requests known to Him.
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave in the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. James 1:6.
Let us choose the way of faithfulness and set our hearts on God’s Law. If we declare with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved.
For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed – a righteousness that is by faith from the first to the last, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith. Romans 1:17.”
Blessings.

we are not worthy of God's favor. we are not worthy of God himself. without Jesus' sacrifice, who do we think we are that we can simply enter God's heavenly realm? we simply cannot do this without Christ. it is not that God is unapproachable, it is because He is holy and righteous and we are neither without Jesus' sacrifice. so instead of balling our fists and letting our minds be inundated with doubts and frivolous questions, let's take a step back and remind ourselves of how good God actually is. He knew there was no other way for us to get to him without the bloodshed of Christ. He knew He had to sacrifice His One and only Son simply for us to get to Him without having to wander aimlessly, stumbling in the dark and tripping over the rocks and stones of our sins. He was willing to pay the price for our salvation and sacrifice His Son for our relationship with Him. so how dare we say God does not love us? for it is our own stubborn heart and our unwillingness to bow before a God so great that keeps us wandering aimlessly. it is our pride that keeps us rejecting the love we don't deserve but so desperately need. oh my soul, God does not owe you anything! He already gave everything to be with you. you are His child and it hurts Him too much to see you struggling on your own. He doesn't want that for you. but we are simply too stubborn to accept it.
