TommyInnit's Totally Terrible (and American) High School Experience
by etoilya
"Tommy, seriously? Ignoring me again?" Tubbo said while sitting next to Tommy at the only empty seats left.
"Sorry, king. I'm just thinking about how I'm gonna rule this place." Confidence will always be Tommy's savior, fake or not.
"Well, I was saying that we're in different tour groups." What? That should be illegal. They should know to never split Tommy and Tubbo.
"What?! Why?"
"If you were listening to me you'd know," Tubbo responded, smug as always.
"Just drop it and tell me, Tubso." Tommy's the best at apologies.
Tubbo scoffed. "It's because I'm on the 'advanced' pathway, according to the school."
"But I'm the smartest person in the world! How could they do this to me?" Tommy elegantly retorted.
"I told you to do your homework. I can't cover all of your classes."
OR
Tommy's an 8th grader going into high school with his only friend, Tubbo. His tour guides, juniors Wilbur and Technoblade, actually laugh at his jokes, making Tommy the happiest 13 year old ever. Despite the great start, Tommy's (American) high school experience isn't as easy as he thought.

Dream minecraft mods#
Most content is improvised, apart from major plot points which are loosely scripted in advance. They engage in lengthy conflicts over political power and rare artifacts. It stars fellow Minecraft YouTubers such as Sapnap and TommyInnit, who roleplay as characters loosely based on themselves. It quickly gained popularity, in part due to the COVID-19 pandemic and collaborations across various YouTube channels.
Dream minecraft mods#
In a 29-page-long document, the mods came to the conclusion that the odds that Dream managed to find the two items needed to finish the game that quickly was 1 in 1.75 trillion. The Dream SMP was created by Dream and GeorgeNotFound in April or May 2020 as a small server for a few friends. On December 11 of 2020, moderator of the official speedrun forums Geosquare uploaded a YouTube video titled "Did Dream Fake His Speedruns - Official Moderator Analysis." Geosquare and his fellow Minecraft moderators had analyzed the livestream runs and believed that Dream had recorded events that were too statistically unlikely to have happened without the help of mods or cheats. He ended his run in fifth place, happy with where he settled on the leaderboard. He had uploaded a speedrun of the 1.14 version of Minecraft in March of 2020 and 1.15 in June, so when version 1.16 version launched later that year, he had to take it on. Dream has been accused of cheating in Minecraftĭream's channel was reaching its subscriber-growth apex, gaining 2.6 million subscribers in August 2020, and becoming the face of the game. He would also start collaborating with GeorgeNotFound, a friend and future member of Dream's roleplaying server that he created in May of 2020. His "Minecraft Speedrunner vs." series, where Dream would choose to complete the game while certain NPCs, or non-player characters, chased after him, or objectives needed to be completed, were massively popular. Over the next year, Dream would upload fairly regularly, steadily gaining hundreds of thousands of subscribers a month and millions of video views. In his first video, he intentionally "triggers" those watching by playing the game as poorly as possible, doing things like placing blocks on top of chests, killing sheep for their wool, and eating rotten flesh. Dream uses a Microsoft Paint drawn character that's super doofy and appealing to children, which is Minecraft's core audience."ĭream created his YouTube channel in 2014 but it doesn't appear that he uploaded regularly until July 2019. The figure's aesthetics are iconic, and easily recognizable to the average "Minecraft" viewer.Īs YouTuber Mysticat puts it, "Dream's branding is unprofessional but that doesn't mean it's bad. His online avatar is a simple figure drawn with a neon-green background. But what exactly makes Dream so unique and popular when there have been thousands of content creators building worlds with Minecraft's characteristic blocks? Who is Dream?ĭream's personal life and identity are still unknown, with the sleepy-named YouTuber choosing to keep his face private. The faceless green avatar with a knack for uncovering "Minecraft's" cavern-filled secrets has managed to acquire over 16 million subscribers in under two years. Minecraft YouTuber Dream has quickly risen up the creator hierarchy, becoming one of the fastest-growing YouTube channel's of 2020 and the number two overall creator of the year, according to the platform. Visit Insider's homepage for more stories. Though he has faced controversy, the Minecraft expert still has one of the most loyal and devoted fanbases online. With 16.4 million subscribers on YouTube, Dream is one of the fastest-growing YouTube channels on the platform. YouTuber Dream has broken records and pulled in millions of views, but the man behind the avatar is still a mystery. Dream and TommyInnit roleplaying together TommyInnit/YouTube

Disc wars finale was staged/Dream was the intended prisoner of Pandora's Vault from the start - Counter arguments /rp
The "Dream was the intended prisoner all along" theory, along with the "The disc war finale was staged" theory, are two theories that definitely sounded plausible right after the disc war finale, back when everyone remembered Dream telling Punz to pretend to not be on his side back in December. Which is exactly what Punz did on Doomsday, he pretended to have cut ties with Dream, and was now on L'manburgs side. [here's an unofficial upload of said clip]
But after the disc war finale, people remembered this clip again, and questioned whether Punz's betrayal was genuine, or once again, something he and Dream had planned in advance.
Additionally, according to Dream, the prison was originally intended for someone very powerful, which could very well have always been Dream himself.
However, as time has gone on, this theory has, in my opinion, become less and less plausible.
PT 1. PUNZ
Firstly, as time as gone on, we've never gotten anything to indicate that Punz's betrayal wasn't genuine. In fact, we've only gotten the opposite. Punz has never visited Dream since the disc war finale, made any attempts to keep in contact with Dream at all, or given him any information, as their possible "agreement" back in December would suggest. Additionally, after he learnt Tommy died, even under the influence of the egg, as the rest of the eggpire celebrated Tommy's death, Punz felt conflicted.
Punz: So he’s- he's actually gone?
BBH: He’s gone! And we have cake! So it’s like a double win!
Punz: Oh! I do like cake.
BBH: I like cake too! So we- we all like cake! We all needed to get rid of Tommy. So, you know what this means, Punz! The next- the next stage of the plan… can commence! The final… the final stage. This is it.
Punz: Oh my- this is kind of a bittersweet feeling… for me. ‘Cause, you know- [overlapping]
BBH: No, it’s a happy feeling! Because Tommy- he’s gone! [overlapping]

Punz: [overlapping] I mean, yeah! I mean, the egg, I’m very happy that we can move forward with the egg. This is very good for like, that, but… I feel weird, I- I, I saved Tommy! You know?
"BadBoyHalo: 🔴VOD - Celebrating Tommy's Death | Dream SMP" (44:03-44:46) [link]
If anything, this should almost completely prove the betrayal was genuine on Punz's part. He has no reason to lie and pretend to be upset here, and it's especially unlikely considering he is under the influence of the egg at this point in time. The only explanation for Punz's betrayal to still be disingenuous would be if cc!Punz literally doesn't know that the betrayal was fake, because how he decides to play his character afterwards does not line up otherwise.
With that being said, despite the entire theory essentially being based of that one clip with Dream and Punz from December, let's entertain the possibility that the betrayal was genuine on Punz's behalf, but Dream expected and planned for it to happen (without telling Punz). Because, as far as I'm aware, the only one who knows where the bunker is, is Punz, and therefore Tommy and Tubbo could not have been "saved" without him.
For this to be true, that would mean that Dream anticipated that Tommy would reach out to both Punz, and the rest of the server for assistance, and to have succeeded in that both by being forgiven by the rest of the server (who didn't have a very high opinion of Tommy at the time), but also to have paid Punz more than Dream did (if he even did pay Punz more, or if Punz decided to betray Dream regardless). So, if Dream anticipated Tommy attempting to win the rest of the server back in the fight against him, why would he make it harder for Tommy by turning the server against him, by framing him for the destruction of the community house, among many other things? Why would he stack the odds against himself? In fact, a lot of Dreams relationship to Tommy throws a huge wrench in this theory.
PT 2. TOMMY & EXILE (SORRY!)
A lot of this theory hinges on the premise that Dream's "villainy" is all for show, that he intentionally angered, threatened and hurt people with the intent of turning them all against him (thus finally uniting people, against him). And sure, as seen in the December clip with Punz, Dream does in fact anticipate that people might turn against him.
However, that's all the basis there is to this theory in this regard, the rest of his actions in the entirety of s2 does not line up with this premise at all. At the beginning of s2, Dream goes out of his way to shift blame off of himself moreso than not. He kickstarts the season by griefing various buildings on the server together with Captain Puffy and framing Tommy for it (@tobi-smp put together a 40min [highlights video] for it on youtube, very helpful), and he was very lucky that Tommy ended up committing a prank gone wrong on his own, which was much easier to threaten L'manburg over.
During the entirety of Tommys exile, he puts time and effort into staying on people's good side.
Dream: The whole- the whole nation’s just incredible.
Tubbo: Thanks, Dream! You’ve never been this positive about it before!
Dream: Well! I- I said this… I’ll be honest with you, I said this uh, I said this to uh, to Quackity the other day, but, I- I truly think that- that with you as president, L’manburg can thrive! Because, before that, I mean [stutters] no offence to…
Ghostbur: [sniffles]
Dream: Um. Before that I don’t think there was- there was [stutters] the other presidents that may not have… been so good, but. But you! I think that you are fair, and you’re just. I think that you’ve proved that.
Tubbo: Thanks, Dream.
Dream: Yeah. Here, I’ll take my armour off.
Tubbo: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Ah, thank you- you- you’ve never honoured the laws of L’manburg before- oh my god! This is a- [overlapping]
Dream: [overlapping] Well, I never recognised it.
Tubbo: This is a- this is a big day!
"TUBBO VOD (12/7/2020) the one where Tubbo visit Ghostbur and plays alot of Chess ft. Dream, Ranboo +" (35:32-36-17) [link]
If his real intention was to have everyone turn against him, putting time and effort to stay on people's good sides for so long is not only counterintuitive, but also a huge waste of time. Sure, one could argue he was stalling until the prison was finished, he was playing the long-con and once it was finished he'd turn everyone against him with Doomsday.
But, then what was exile? If his intention was to put on a show, to only pretend to be a horrible person, why to an audience of one? Why would exile be so isolated, why would Dream sabotage visits? And I'd even claim, Dream wasn't even putting on a villainous show for Tommy, in fact he was actively conditioning him to think he was his friend, his only friend, the only one who cared. That is not someone who is trying to make people hate him.
And even at the point where he was allegedly trying to turn people against him, in the bunker when he was given the opportunity to tell everyone what he did to Tommy in exile, he kept his mouth shut. There's very few people to this day who know to what extent he made Tommy suffer in exile.
PT 3. ODDS
Here's a very consistent trait of Dream. He's not a risk-taker, in fact, he tends to over-prepare. This is why he so often tends to be merciless, to eliminate any chances of failure.
For him to have secretly orchestrated the entire disc war finale confrontation would be such a huge gamble that it's laughably out of character. He would then have to have anticipated Tommy to have gone around winning the rest of the server back, despite having framed him, turned people against him, and damaged his credibility. He'd have to anticipate Tommy winning Punz over somehow, despite it being very unlikely that he'd find a way to pay more than Dream (the guy who commissioned an entire prison for a stack of diamond blocks). All while having previously undermined his own efforts by trying to stay on people's good sides.
His comment on the server starting to turn against him reads less like Dream thinking his plan is working, and more like Dream finally starting to feel the odds turn against him and getting increasingly worried. His outburst at the green festival, blaming Tommy for the destruction of the community house, berating Tubbo over his presidency (thus taking back all the high praise he'd given during Tommy's exile), outing Ranboo as a spy, threatening to destroy L'manburg, does not read like someone trying to turn people against him. It reads like a desperate, last-ditch effort to turn everyone against each other.
I can see the argument that the Final Disc Confrontation at face value is a bit contrived, and I agree. It's flashy, cheesy and almost seems a bit too unlikely. It's true that the disc wars finale at face value is a bit of a gamble too, and again, Dream is not usually risk-taker unless the odds are in his favour. But the unlikeliness of the disc war finale going the way it went makes it the more believable option if i had to pick between it and the "disc wars finale is staged" theory. The odds were in Dream's favour, Punz, the only one (afaik) who knows where the bunker is, was still on his side, he'd successfully damaged Tommy's credibility, he had cornered Tommy and Tubbo and was one moment away from going through with his plan as he said he was. What would he have done if Punz never showed up? Stalled forever? Dropped the act? No matter how contrived the disc war finale is at face value, the alternative is arguably even more contrived (and additionally, a deeply unsatisfying conclusion to both Tommy's and Dream's characters. Yay Tommy loses yet again, yay Dream is still infallible and everything is still going according to his perfect BBC Sherlock level plan! What was the point of this conclusion again?)
PT 4. THE PRISON
This last point is short. There's the obvious question, if he made the prison for himself, why did he intentionally make the prison conditions worse for himself? But secondly, the more important question in my opinion, why should I care? If he intentionally put himself in the prison, and the conditions were his own choice, and it was for what he believed was the betterment of the server (unity), why should I root for him to escape?
He got exactly what he wanted, and this is also something that would allegedly help unite the server, so should I not want him to stay in there in that case? Or was his great plan to selflessly unite everyone only to then secretly escape with the help of, lets say, Enderboo? If he intended to have someone help break him out, why would he (assuming it was him) intentionally write a [waiver] that would ensure that anyone who'd assist in helping a prisoner escape must be killed? Would this not once again undermine his own efforts?
PT 5. SUMMARY, CLOSING THOUGHTS
In short, I think the "staged disc wars finale/dream was the intended prisoner all along" theory creates more plot holes than it solves, it's very contrived and narratively unsatisfying for nearly every character involved. I understand why it's appealing for some, it's a flashy theory that sounds cool if you don't think too hard about it, and also does put Dream's True Intentions in a completely different light (even though his actions and the way he affected people remain the exact same) (and even though I find it a bit cheap and unearned). Is it not more plausible that they just wrote a cool and flashy straightforward ending to an arc, purely because they're amateur writers and it was the only way to take Dream, the most powerful character on the server, down? I digress.
Could this theory still be true? Sure. I don't know what's going on in the writing room. There are some little quotes and clips vaguely hinting at that direction (and then there's blatant ace-race-like neon signs pointing in the other, but again, I digress.) They could even retcon the Eggpire!Punz clip for all I know.
I think it would be a cheap, unearned and confusing twist, and I wouldn't like it a whole lot, but again, I'm not in the writers room.
(Regardless, I think the funniest part to me about this theory though is that even if his true intent was to get himself imprisoned for the sake of unity and eradicating conflict, he still failed astronomically considering the server is even more split and riddled with strange little factions after his imprisonment. lol!)

Quackity and Schlatt’s Relationship - More Complicated Then You Think
(this is all /rp and about the characters from the dream smp! pls assume i have the dignity not to write analysis of youtubers)
recently there was a bit of discourse surrounding the relationship between Quackity and Schlatt floating around on tumblr. tho i never saw the original post that sparked the conversation, i did see a few posts that were inspired by it mentioning how they disliked that the original post implied that Quackity and Schlatt were mutually abusive and/or equally bad for each other
since i never saw the original post, i can't be sure if that's what the op meant to imply. it's not really my place to speak about a post that i never got the chance to read. BUT the conversation that was caused by the post in question did get me thinking about how this fandom treats the relationship between Quackity and Schlatt and how little nuance there is in discussions about it
now before i say anything else, i want to make a few things clear:
i don't think Quackity and Schlatt’s relationship is mutually abusive. no need to worry about hearing that from this post
i don't look down on ppl who have different interpretations of their relationship
there will be potentially triggering content in this analysis. i will place a quick warning whenever i think one is needed!
their relationship is romantic in canon and therefore i’ll be treating it as romantic
alright now that we’ve gotten all of that out of the way, we can finally get on with the analysis! i apologize for how long this is gonna be
part 1: let's talk relationship!
i think we can all agree that Quackity and Schlatt’s relationship was not exactly a healthy one. tho it didn't start out that way, it certainly turned into what could be read as abusive or toxic (i personally read their relationship as being abusive in its later half due to evidence provided by the text, but i understand if others prefer to view it as just toxic instead)
but what happened that led to their partnership ending so badly? what caused all of this mess?
well, it was a lot of things. but we will get to that later. let's talk relationship first!
from the very beginning, Quackity and Schlatt’s relationship was pretty one-sided. tho they both clearly liked each other as friends/partners in crime both before and after the election (yes they did interact before the election!) Quackity was also interested in Schlatt romantically- something that Schlatt wasn't fully committed to
as we all know from the infamous date stream and from a few other moments, Quackity and Schlatt enjoyed playfully flirting with each other- tho it was pretty obvious that Quackity was more serious about it then Schlatt was even tho Schlatt considered Quackity to be very attractive
in my opinion, Quackity is someone who wants a long term relationship, while Schlatt is more interested in flings. this can be seen in Schlatt refusing to marry Quackity and rejecting most of his advances while Quackity tried his best to convince him to feel otherwise. Tommy put it best: Quackity is just one of Schlatt’s many bitches U_U
to Quackity, the romantic aspect of their relationship was very important. because Schlatt never actually shot him down or told him that he didn't feel the same way, Quackity took that to mean that they were truly in love. Schlatt on the other hand wasn't very invested in the romantic side of things but clearly valued Quackity’s looks and his support as an ally against Pogtopia so he never fully rejected Quackity’s advances
this might not seem like too big of a deal considering the other things that happened between them, but i think it shows part of the nature of their relationship. there is a lot of miscommunication and, on Schlatt’s end, manipulation of emotions. love is a strong motivator for loyalty and Schlatt is a smart guy who would know how to use that to his advantage
but that isn't to say that Schlatt didn't ever care about Quackity!
Schlatt is a complicated guy and figuring out when he's actually being genuine can be pretty difficult. but i think there are some moments that point to Schlatt genuinely caring about Quackity
when he was alive, Schlatt was pretty paranoid. not as paranoid as Wilbur, but certainly up there. but there were never any times where he truly questioned Quackity’s loyalties after his first day as president. Schlatt also seemed truly upset that Quackity betrayed him, bringing up their status as partners in crime while ranting about how much it hurt him and singling Quackity out while talking about how he had been abandoned during his time of need
Schlatt also spent a lot of time sulking after Quackity betrayed him and whining to Ponk about needing a new bitch. this is in contrast to how angry he was after Tubbo betrayed him- both during and after the execution
there is also the situation with the Big Man Gym
after being dead for a while, Schlatt contacted Quackity despite them leaving off on bad terms and asked for him to visit him in his cave gym. when Quackity showed up, Schlatt talked about how he valued their relationship and the good times they had together. tho this can easily be seen as emotional manipulation, Schlatt’s a lot smarter than he seems and- if he doesnt have memory issues due to being a ghost- would know that Quackity’s opinion of him was in the dump at the time of his death and most likely wouldn't have improved since then. Fundy has a higher opinion of Schlatt than Quackity does and is someone who obviously craves validation. but Schlatt went to Quackity first anyway and trusted him to help revive him
i think that this is all good evidence that points towards Schlatt truly caring about Quackity as much as someone like Schlatt can care about anyone- or at least valuing him as a companion
i also think that it is pretty common knowledge that Quackity cared about Schlatt- and possibly still does- but i will go over a bit of evidence that i haven’t already mentioned before we move on to the next part
Quackity tried multiple times to impress Schlatt (like when he lied about knowing how to play chess), would attempt to help Schlatt when he was drowning in water, sadly said that they could have had something together while Schlatt was dying in the caravan, and implied that he wouldn’t have left if Schlatt hadn’t taken down the white house. Quackity also willingly went to the Big Man Gym after being summoned there by Schlatt and wanted to revive him long before the revive book became part of the story
part 2: what made it fall apart?
everything i've said so far has been pretty interesting (hopefully) but it doesn't really answer the original question: what went wrong to turn Schlatt and Quackity’s mainly positive partnership sour?
well it comes down to two things in my opinion: their incompatible desires for political power and Schlatt’s deteriorating mental state
Quackity wanted political power from the beginning and wasn't afraid to be open about his desires. he pooled his votes with Schlatt because Schlatt offered him the position of vice president, something Wilbur and Tommy weren’t willing to give to him. tho Quackity obviously cared about L’Manburg and wanted to see good things for it, he also desired power and was willing to team up with someone he didn't fully agree with to get said power
at 32:40 in this video, Quackity talks about how in politics everyone uses everyone so it's alright if Schlatt is using him. he then talks about how he doesn't want to be a man with no power and how he understands that Schlatt’s main goal is also gaining/keeping power. Quackity also shows a bit of his naughty evil side by saying if he overthrows Schlatt then the fun ends too early!
(side note: these two are pretty evenly matched in intelligence and manipulativeness, i love it!)
it's a bit of a fandom misconception that Quackity was a love sick yes man during the Manburg era. tho Quackity did want to please Schlatt and was in love with him, he didn't shy away from standing up to or disagreeing with Schlatt when he believed it was needed
at around 26:12 of this video, Quackity and Schlatt meet together in private and Quackity tells Schlatt off for playing down his role in the power structure of Manburg. since this was very early in Schlatt’s reign, Quackity shows no fear towards him and confidently tells him not to treat him like that
Quackity also broke Niki out of jail after regretting letting her be put there in the first place, tried to convince Schlatt to not execute Tubbo, jumped in front of Fundy when Schlatt tried to attack him, tried to stop Schlatt from tearing down buildings, and attempted to protect the white house he built from being destroyed by Schlatt. these are not behaviors of a pure yes man but of someone who, despite fear, has the confidence to speak up for himself even when disrespected by someone in authority
Quackity has always been someone who wanted power and someone who was never a yes man to authority. this contradicts with how Schlatt believed Quackity should act as vice president. in Schlatt’s opinion, Quackity’s one job is to sit around looking pretty while Schlatt does all of the important things and holds all of the power. Schlatt was a big fan of promoting people to worthless positions of authority and its pretty obvious that he considered vice president to be similar to the fake positions he gave Fundy and Tubbo
in the end, this was a big part of what destroyed their relationship. like it or not, Quackity’s a power hungry guy and always has been. he didn't like that Schlatt constantly shoved him aside and refused to listen to him
now onto the nasty bit...Schlatt’s mental state
cw for mentions of alcoholism, mental deterioration, and abusive behavior
before i say anything more, i just want to say that i don't think having issues with alcoholism makes someone a bad person. i personally have some issues with such things so it would be pretty stupid of me to say being an alcoholic makes you a bad person. alcoholism does negatively affect your cognitive functions tho and, combined with other health issues, can cause some of the very serious mental problems that Schlatt clearly struggles with
throughout the Manburg era, Schlatt’s mental state rapidly deteriorated. he went from a pretty normal- if eccentric- guy who had a drinking problem, to someone who was delirious most of the time. it's a sharp and noticeable decline that caused a lot of pain for Quackity due to Schlatt often taking his excess aggression out on him by yelling at him and/or belittling him. tho Schlatt often belittled Quackity before he went fully off of the deep end, it was never as aggressive as it was when he was in this delirious state of mind
it was during one of Schlatt’s most aggressive and delirious moments that he tore down the white house despite Quackity’s protests. as we all know, this caused Quackity to snap and kill Schlatt (it's more complicated than that but we will get back to that). as mentioned previously, Quackity implied that he would have stayed with Schlatt if the white house hadn’t been destroyed
in my opinion, these two things combined are the biggest reasons why Quackity and Schlatt’s relationship fell apart. their differing desires for power were not compatible and Schlatt’s awful behavior while his mental state declined caused a rift between them that couldn't be fixed
part 3: how toxic was it really?
cw for emotional and physical abuse
as i said all the way back in part one, Quackity and Schlatt’s relationship was not healthy. i have provided many examples in the other two parts that shine a light onto why it wasn't healthy, but i didn't show the entire picture
there are many moments that show exactly how Schlatt treated Quackity when he was acting at his worst and none of them are pretty. tho Schlatt was never truly aggressive with his insults until he started to go off of the deep end, that doesn't mean that what he said wasn't negatively affecting Quackity
Schlatt would belittle, insult, and mock Quackity for his appearance not being up to his standards, for his opinions, and for being emotional in ways that Schlatt disapproved of like crying. tho Schlatt would often brush off Quackity’s reactions towards this cruel behavior, it's very clear that Schlatt’s treatment of him has stuck with Quackity in many ways
Quackity is very sensitive about his appearance and it seems to be because of how badly Schlatt hurt his self esteem during their time together. Schlatt tied Quackity’s worth to his appearance and then would claim he wasn't meeting his standards of attractiveness. we can tell that this has stuck with Quackity because of his sensitivity towards people bringing up the scar on his face (something that greatly alters his physical appearance) and he still reacts very badly when Schlatt calls him the mocking nickname flatty patty
speaking of flatty patty- that stupid insult shockingly has a lot of weight in Quackity’s relationship with Schlatt. tho its something the audience is meant to laugh at, the nickname also shows just how little Schlatt respects Quackity because he's constantly throwing it around just to make Quackity upset. Schlatt’s last words are flatty patty all because he wanted to get in one last dig at his ex and ruin Quackity’s day even further
Schlatt tends to do a lot of things that are intended to make Quackity upset. tearing down the room Quackity made for him in the white house is the biggest example of this- especially since Schlatt mentions how it will upset Quackity while he does it. you can see this moment at around 19:10 of this video
and now let's get into the elephant in the room when it comes to these two: Quackity was scared of Schlatt. tho we never really see Schlatt hit or attack Quackity physically outside of their confrontation at the white house or their confrontation in the caravan, these clips imply that Quackity was at the very least scared of Schlatt physically harming him in some way
as for actually physically harming him, Schlatt hits Quackity multiple times with a pickaxe and with his fists during their white house fight. Quackity hits Schlatt a couple times too, tho these are all primarily defensive blows since he is trying to protect himself and his property. he also chases after Quackity with a bow after Quackity’s plan to trick him into signing Manburg over to the Pogtopians fails and hits him multiple times during the caravan confrontation
all of this evidence shows that Schlatt was an abusive (or at least toxic) partner towards Quackity and someone who greatly affected him in many ways
tho Quackity did a few questionable things throughout his relationship with Schlatt (such as trying to get Schlatt to have sex with him despite Schlatt not being interested as shown in the later half of this video) and did some downright morally wrong things during his time as vice president of Manburg, no one deserves the pain of an abusive relationship- even a person who has done bad things
as a brief side note before we move on because i know people will bring it up if i skip over it, Quackity did- and most likely still does- want to literally possess Glatt. he brought up reviving Schlatt and using him as a political pawn after Schlatt’s funeral and during their conversation at the Big Man Gym Quackity talked about owning Glatt and having him work at Las Nevadas with no pay
this is unsettling behavior to say the least but this essay isnt about the aftermath of their relationship so much as it is about their relationship when it was actually happening. maybe i will make another post talking more about how Quackity’s relationship with Schlatt affected him even after Schlatt’s death and/or about Quackity’s relationship with Glatt
part 4: final thoughts
i’m not exactly sure why the nuances in Schlatt and Quackity’s relationship get lost when it comes to the fandom, but it’s pretty disappointing to see. hopefully this essay can help people take a closer look at canon and maybe even help them find something interesting that they’d want to explore!
tho the point of this essay is to clear up any misconceptions and hopefully add some nuance to the conversations surrounding Schlatt and Quackity’s relationship, i also wrote it in hopes of showing people how fascinating these two partners in crime were back in the Manburg days. i didn’t cover everything but i think i did a pretty good job for my first analysis post in the dsmp fandom
also since you read to the end, i must say thank you! it really does means a lot to me that you did. i hope you enjoyed and maybe even learned something. this post can be used as a resource if anyone wants to use it as such
here’s a tiny devil Quackity for your troubles <3

dream smp high school au and what they'd teach:
i had to get it out of my system but i'm so happy with how these turned out
mr notfound: engineering (the engineering teacher never really teaches and kinda sits in his office but the entire school simps for him so there's always a teacher hanging with him. his curriculum is free form and an easy A but genuinely pretty damn fun)
mr. nap: gym (hes the nice gym teacher who says screw the pacer test and rope climbing and you guys just play basketball after running like 2 laps. he's super gullible and will let anyone sit out for any semblance of pain. that is until the film teacher comes into the gym, then he's a tryhard beating freshman up to make layups on lowered hoops)
mr. wastaken: physics (the coolest class that always does crazy expiriments with large falling objects and questionable usage of dry ice, people always think his experiments are fake but he'll be the first to give a class long lecture on why every single piece of his work is 100% accurate. there was this one incident when he used the engineering teacher to explain torque and it ended with mr. notfound being caught in his arms. there's pictures but he still denys it.)
mr. blade: advanced english lit (mr. blade has no time for freshmen and if he does like a frosh into his class they've gotta he the damn best. his class is based on old literature analysis and storytelling. his favorite unit being greek mythology. most of his assignments aren't just boring essays or stressful discussion. no one truly knows what mr. blades class is like until you've taken it, they're often heard chanting "blood for the blood god" before exams but the principal is yet to do anything about it.)
mr. awsamdude: comp sci/coding (sam is the teacher everyone adores, there's usually at least two people crying in his office before and after school but he always knows what will cheer them up! he tries to work closely with mr. notfound but he's busy with the physics prof so sam has gotten really close with his TA tubbo. they do all kinds of coding competitions and his class is known to be a safe haven for students of all kinds- "coding is for everyone!" he always chants)
ms. nihachu: art (known for the classroom with the best vibes niki insists on dropping the ms. and formalitys. she's the teacher with lofi playing and bean bags and couches in her beautifully decorated classroom. she has an open classroom meaning anyone can come in anytime and she is dedicated to making sure no one eats lunch alone. a couple times a year she goes on a huge rant about loving oneself and the value of not judging others, needless to say everyone adores her - especially the theatre kids as her class is constantly helping them with set design)
mr. soot: music/theatre (does he have a degree? unknown. does he teach anything besides music? couldnt tell ya. mr soot roams the halls during class hours that aren't his one choir period; popping into various classes to pretend to be a student or just all around goof off. his theatre program however, one of the best. he makes the most extravagant plays and musicals with barely any budget. after his show goes on he goes dark for like 2 weeks straight "recuperating" but no one questions because that kind of genius needs resting)
mr. frost: math (ant and red would TOTALLY teach math together and it would be so cute everyone would see them walk in and out of school together and ship them and their classroom would be a safe space for people to come out or even just hangout. ant would be a crazy good teacher who is understanding and not one of those asshole math teachers. he's the one everyone always wants to have haha)
mr. jacobs: film/freshman history (mr jacobs is the freshman heartthrob and senior best friend. he teaches film as history, film as lit, and frosh history - basically the easiest classes, but he makes them the most fun. in his lit classes they watch cartoons and search for literature similarities or historical evidence. in his history classes he goes on grand lectures often standing on tables to reenact his favorite history moments. occasionally he brings in his friends to re create a massive fight in front of all the history classes, it's scuffed but everyone always looks forward to them)
ms. puffy: head counselor (ms puffy is the sweetest soul and often is helping students with everything from their personal lives to college. she assigns the TA's and classrooms and works closely with mr minecraft to make the school as conducive of a learning environment as possible.)
mr. minecraft: the principal, the big man himself, mr fuckin minecraft. (he constantly looks sleep deprived and exhausted but he loves the students and teachers with his whole heart. he takes no shit from annoying parents or asshole students and is known to ban the entitled cruel students from all his favorite teachers classes, leaving them with the worst teachers. usually he can be found telling dream he can't have more money for explosives, begging wilbur to sleep and rest, and telling techno he's gonna have to teach a english 9 class eventually. that and dealing with his new TA's.)
our lovely teacher assistants:
ranboo: english TA (thought he was gonna get art with niki but puffy out him with the blade. originally he was terrified but he's growing on mr. blade with his deep analytical thoughts and similar dry humor. granted- he does have the most work of all the TA's because mr. blade makes him grade all the multiple choice tests, but he's really starting to love the english classroom.)
tubbo: comp sci TA (tubbo had been begging to be sam's TA since freshman year where he took almost all the coding classes in one year. plus, the computer science room is right next to the physics room in the science wing so he can pop over and see tommy all the time. tubbo and sam stay in the computer lab way later than philza should allow but they've made magnificent codes for the school. everytime tubbo points out he's graduating soon sam starts to tear up, but he knows tubbos gonna do big things, he's just gonna miss his goofy TA.)
tommy: physics TA (the pounding philza got on his office door when tommy didn't get wilbur was ground shaking. puffy and philza calmly explained that tommy has a knack for physics if he would just focus and genuinely learn from dream. "big D" as tommy calls him, wasnt jazzed either. their year as TA and teacher started rocky but dream would come to realize that tommy is more talented than he lets on and after speaking to wilbur and puffy he realized there was a damn good reason he was given tommy. he took it upon himself to turn tommy into the best student he could be. and tommy isn't one to back down from a fight. little did he know this year would be the best year yet.)
i'm so happy with this and i actually think i might expand it idkkkk :)))

Alright, so, @petrichormeraki was like "do tell" when I said I had some ideas about what the SMP is like after Tommy 'dies' so I wrote up something real quick for Tubbo, Phil, Techno, Ghostbur, and Dream, and then one for the entire server.
(And yeah, this is for Shells in the Foam, so if you follow that, you'll see Techno's view repeated)
They use a ritual to try and talk to Tommy's ghost. Ghostur comes back alone, saying that Tommy didn't want to be a ghost. Ghostbur seems confused and sad, and later confesses that he had hoped Tommy would come back so they could be together for real this time.
Tubbo's blaming himself. He put his compass, his ever-spinning compass, on Tommy's grave under the L'Mantree and hasn't looked at it since, instead throwing himself into his paperwork and negotiations. Tommy loved L'Manberg; and Tubbo would rather die than let it fall, like he let Tommy fall.
He cries once in public, at the funeral, and then only lets the tears flow in the darkness of his bedroom.
Phil is crushed, and the fact that Tommy doesn't come back as a spirit hurts even more. He's lost two sons, now, and it's only thrown the realization of how much he's failed into harsher light. He should have been there for Wilbur; and in his grief after he failed to do so, he pushed Tommy away, and lost him too.
It gets worse when, at the subtle nudging of Technoblade, he has what turns out to be a memory block removed and remembers the thousands of little moments that he was made to forget, simply because someone had re-written Tommy's code. How horrible of a father could he be, when the memory of his only Avian son flying for the first time wasn't strong enough to break through the memory block?
Techno sits on his roof in the tundra and curses at whatever gods there are in this shithole of a universe that he, the battle-scarred, wither-loving, blood-for-the-blood-god PVPer, has outlived both his twin, and now his younger brother. The stars hold no answers for him, and he's left with the knowledge that he is now an only child and the phantom feeling of Tommy's casket in his hands.
Then the letter arrives, delivered by Wilbur's ghost, and Techno learns two things: his little brother is alive, and safe, and somehow the players on whatever new server he's on have managed to make him whole again in a way he didn't know he was broken; and that yes, Dream did try to kill him. Techno gets the memory block removed, finds all the books he can on Avians because Dream must have risked altering Tommy's base coding for a reason, damn it, and starts plotting.
Ghostbur's confused; why did Phantommy say he wasn't dead? Where was that strange, gray place where he had talked to his little brother? Why did he seem hesitant to talk about Dream?
Dream's their friend, right?
Dream doesn't know where Tommy's body went.
It's driving him crazy- there's no way he could have made it for long, out on the tundra with his face sliced open. He needs the body, he needs Tommy's final resting place so he can revive him. They're not done playing yet. It's not fair. Tommy needs to learn his lesson.
There's no point in anything if he doesn't have his little caged birdie.
The server descends into chaos (more advanced choas, really) in a matter of weeks. The tipping point is when Ghostbur casually corrects Fundy on how Tommy says he died.
He fell into lava, he said.
Word gets back to Phil, then to Techno, and then to L'Manberg, and everyone is in an uproar. What really happened? Had Dream killed Tommy? Had Tommy killed himself and then Dream given them a fake body to bury out of pity?
L'Manberg threatens Dream, Dream threatens L'Manberg, Techno threatens Dream, Dream reminds him of that favour, and in the midst of the fighting and shouting, no one notices the note that Techno brings back from MCC, or the moonstone pendent he wears at all times.

Quackity’s Lore Stream Notes
Okay, Dream and Quackity’s scene was heartbreaking. It showed how Dream still has faith in his friends to visit him, and it showed just how much control Quackity has over him. The person who used to be the most powerful person on the server is doing everything Quackity says except give the book over. However, Dream got very excited when Quackity mentioned he enjoyed the torture; perhaps he was already thinking of how he could turn Quackity into a lackey? Quackity was already half way there after all.
How does he have an elytra????? Where did he get it??? The End is supposed to be closed...... did DreamXD let him have it? Did Drista? Drista is known as ‘the devil’ in the Dream SMP. But they are the only people who are allowed in the end. Did Quackity make a deal with ‘the devil’?
Could Purpled possibly be an alien? Is that why the UFO was so important to him? His way home?
How did Sam know about Foolish? Who was around when Foolish went bad? Possibly Karl? Could Karl’s old library be his ‘sources’? Why did he steal from Karl? Sam said later in the video that he was ‘the law’, but why does he break his own rules? He’s a person. A person who is motivated by friends. Could a friend have convinced him that he needed to steal Karl’s library? And if so, who?
Why is Quackity blowing up an establishment he owns?
Foolish had Foolish JR in his hand when everything went to flames in his backstory. Question is, how did he get Foolish JR in the first place? Did he rescue him from the fire as a memento of what he once did? Or did he take him with him to the job that went wrong?
He said ‘oh no’ when Wilbur came back. Is he scared of Wil? Wilbur mentioned that Quackity was his biggest rival. Does Quackity feel the same? Does he feel threatened that Wilbur is back? Threatened that Wilbur will take everything away that he has worked so hard for just like Wilbur did with Pogtopia? Wilbur has a mission though; one that involves a lot of stone. Could he be working with Quackity and building an entirely new project?
charlie kisses to greet others. Who taught him that? Ranboo and Tubbo?
I don’t have a lot to say on Charlie but I love the lore we’re being given and I can’t wait to see his new spy role! I will leave Charlie speculation to you guys.
Quackity is coughing when he lets Charlie go; is he dying? The cough seemed too fake but I remember him saying to Foolish earlier that the land of Las Nevadas is chaotic in and of itself. Is the land physically killing him? Or, has his deal with ‘the devil’ had negative side effects?
what is purpled’s other job? I remember that BadBoyHalo hired him to kill Puffy but is he talking about something else? And if so, what is it?
who leaked quackity’s plan to purpled? Quackity mentioned a mole and the only other person who could’ve known is Sam. Sam is motivated by people/friends. It could be possible that he told Purpled in advance and then scampered after Quackity went in because we see Sam is gone when Quackity resolves things with Purpled.
Ranboo is saving up money. He told us so in a casual mining stream where his viewers gambled channel points. He said he was saving up for something and that we would find out soon if we didn’t know already. I think he’s saving up for the casino. I think Quackity must’ve told him.
Where does purpled live... The skull place?
Common theme in this recruitment video: making people “new”. With Foolish, he literally killed Foolish to make him new. With Purpled, he killed the one thing people knew him for. With Fundy, Fundy already did half the job with cutting himself off from everyone. He killed the old versions of his new recruitments and told them that they could be “new” or basically more “important”. This is a hugely manipulative move. By cutting off and isolating your victims, you have a better chance to mold them because they can’t look to the outside.
Fundy’s bit was quite interesting because he showed the most resistance. Quackity has been working him for a lot longer than he has Foolish or Purpled. Fundy has been having these dreams of the past for far longer and it has taken its toll on him. He has blown up his home and moved away from everyone else because of it. However, when he meets up with Quackity, we see a half dead LManberg. This speaks a lot about his mental state. He is trying to leave everything behind but he can’t and so that is why LManberg in his brain is half dead; he is still holding onto it.
I think this is all a dream. He goes to sleep and wakes up somewhere new. But then, why is Quackity there?
Well, who do we know who has the power to manipulate dreams and has power over the entrance to The End? DreamXD. I think, Quackity has gotten his new dream powers and his elytra from DreamXD. Not only that, but I think he is getting all his riches and power from DreamXD as well. It makes sense why Quackity boasts of riches and power beyond anyone’s belief if he has a god with access to creative mode.
And finally, Quackity and Wilbur. I don’t have a lot to say on that. I’ll let someone else take the lead.
tl;dr- common theme, out with the old, in with the new/rebirth. Quackity might have a sugar daddy. Fundy, Foolish and Purpled need a hug and Quackity is changing in more ways than one.

Brothers anon and I actually was skipping through the official City of Mizu episode and realized I missed Skeppy as a idol. So if you follow Skeppy you get to learn about different kinds of gems and what they can be used for, get trained on proper safety when mining, what to look for and avoid when mining, and they also get to go on supply runs that specifically require mining, though not many people follow Skeppy because mining is dangerous. Also I missed Charles personality a good bit so ima change it to where he's still quite, reserved and anxious, but is adventurous, curious, dedicated to his interests, and when given the chance or talking about his interests he gets very excited and talks a lot. Like a excited puppy.
1: People can get kicked out of a idol following for many reasons, like disrespecting the idol and their peers, claiming some of the history their learning is fake, attacking anyone in the city (like stabbing, they just get chastised for fist fights), and breaking multiple rules of the city. And some people don't choose a idol, though its highly unlikely as those who don't know what idol to pick tend to pick Tommy or Tubbo. Those who choose not to choose a idol, tend to only work in farming, as its a easy job to learn. Its for these people that the idol-less council member was added, the council member also represent other cities and kingdoms that do still acknowledge and trade with Mizu. Most houses are actually built out of the side, like how we saw the idol rooms in the official episode, and their kind of scattered about, theres some halls filled with homes, but some halls have no homes. The halls with the homes tend to be the biggest/widest halls of the city, as to allow for room for the families living there, and also because theres sometimes stores in this area. Some halls also have multiple levels to allow for more room, these specific halls are referred to as Residential Complex, and only house homes in their multiple levels. While halls that hold only a few homes arent called anything special. Because outside affairs are very complex, most kingdoms and cities ignore Mizu, treating them with disgust and some times, people who have done supply runs that go into cities have reported having higher prices on what they want to buy, and disrespect from all citizens and police. But some kingdoms and cities respect them and trade with them without any tricks. The councils main agurement in this situation is that, the nice city is very far away, a weeks travel, but the mean city is close, only a 2 day walk away. They agure about what to do and what city to travel too for all supply runs. And another agurement that the council often has is what to do with visitors, they had visitors in the past that had destroyed and stole items in Mizu while causing disruptions, but some also brought their own culture and items and happily exchanged said culture and items. So their conflicted on if visitors should be welcomed or turned away.
3: He went through what Ranbob did, being held to high standards that he just couldn't meet. But unlike Ranbob, he spoke up about his problems and managed to get held to lesser standards and allowed time to recover. When he moved out he originally lived on his own in a forest, and because he was vulnerable to monsters he didn't know how to handle, he had to make many fast paced despite when cornered by monsters or when trying to save crops or his house. And since he was also the oldest child of a 6 child family, he had to constantly look after his siblings, giving him his father-like attitude and knowing how to help people in basically almost any situation. His siblings are (current ages) Nick-17, calm, information nerd, introverted and Benjamins favorite brother. Rock-10, a tiny gremlin that loved to mess with people, he often broke bones or broke items when playing due to his rough play style and broke rules, Benjamin was the only one who could calm him. Ion-16, a teen that is very adventurous and always wandering off, she always talked about traveling the world, the hardest one for Benjamin to keep track of. Stellar-13, in love with space, but other than that is a normal child, but she also has a fascination with monsters like enderman, often wondering where they come from, Benjamin doesnt have any strong opinions on her.  And finally, Juka-15, they are very invested in redstone, often experimenting on it and trying to make different things with it, often the stuff they make blows up, Benjamin admires Juka's persistence and love for redstone but also wishes they'd stop blowing up the damn kitchen.
8: Totems do exist, their just so rare its not believed Techno managed to have and use one. So that part of the story got lost and left out over time. Pandoras vault has fallen, mostly because of a break out by Dream that destroyed most of it, and because it had fallen into disrepair. And they do have such advanced technology to make such a prison now, but they doubted the SMP had such technology and availability to do it in their time. And there is also a great lack of evidence (expect for the actual building, but even then people agure it was used for something else) supporting the existence of Pandoras Vault.
Ran and Ranbob used to feel confused and hurt, not understanding why the world hated their home and why the world was so mean to them. Over time they learned why they where shunned, but still didn't completely understand. Eventually they grew used to it, and learned to avoid saying where they lived, unless they wanted to partake in a fight. They very very rarely say that they came from Mizu, as they had learned long ago from both classes and personal experience. But a few times it was revealed they lived in Mizu, they had to just endure it and move along, even though Ran really wanted to punch a fucker. They became friends when Charles went to him during the trip to the flower field, asking to join in on a game he was playing. Its a miracle the two didn't get a heart attack tbh.
10: He was not! Ranbob was too weak for Dream to access all of his powers. And Dreams constant hold of control and withholding food and all the essentials from him, made him even weaker. No one is aware of it, not even Ranbob. A mix of pissed, a weird sort of pride, and determination. The pride and determination is there because knowing Dream thinks that way of them, confirms that they're enough of a threat that Dream actually acknowledges them. And helps them believe that they could truly beat Dream if they tried. Though it also means Dream will try his damned best to kill them.
13: Yeah he comes out on top, he still has some advantages over the others even without tatics, like his speed and he knows how to sneak around and use the area to his advantage pretty well.
14: He seemed more finicky, more nervous and anxious. Constantly trying to seperate himself from the group when he tends to stay very close by. And more on edge/quick to snap at others.
Ayy! Starting off with Skeppy and Charles, what a wonderful way to begin. How did Skeppy’s few followers mine? Were there mines under the sea floor? Did they travel out of Mizu to go find mines in the earth?
1: Hm, interesting. The idol-less leader seems to have quite a bit on their shoulders, if they deal with all outside affairs. Were they specifically selected to learn their position? Since you said most of them farm, but all those politics and stuff seem kind of different from it. Does Ranbob remember any of the nice cities? Did either boy ever meet a former visitor that recognized them from back then?
3: Benjamin’s family sounds really cool. Does the gang ever get to meet them? If so, how do they get along with them?
8: Huh. Well, how about Woodland Mansions? What happened to those, to make totems so rare? So Pandora still stands today? Cool. Does the gang ever come across it? Where would it be located-or well, what areas would be around it? Is it used for anything else nowadays?
And that sucks. If this happens while the brothers are at odds with each other, do they still help each other out with it, since they’re being mocked about their home, or do they just ignore it, and such. How do their respective groups feel both about them being from Mizu, and how they’re treated for it, both before and after the two hauntings started to merge? Did it effect how they thought of them in anyway?
And that sounds cute. What game was it, and who won?
10: Hmm. Was Dream aware he was causing Ranbob to become weaker, or was he that out of touch with human needs? Also, I think I remember way back then, you mentioned this part of Dream was the evil bits that survived his death.
What do you think would happen if they somehow managed to end up seeing the good parts, maybe with a similar artifact that Ranbob found in your supposed fluff?
13: Nice.
14: Oh, no. That’s not good.
