Let’s talk about the scene with Sam and Steve and how amazing and beautiful it was.

First of all. It’s obvious here that Sam is Steve’s date to the party. They’re playing pool together. And they’re hip by hip. They’re not across from each other.  No. They’re right next to each other. They’re playing for fun and enjoying each other’s time. They’re leaning into each other. 

And then we have a scene where they step away from the party and they walk up the stairs together to then survey the entire scene together. 

Sam asks him if he’s found a place in Brookyln yet. Steve says no. But we must also remember, Sam lives in Washington where Steve also lives but of course Steve is relocating to nyc. 

Sam Says home is home. Steve immediately looks at Sam and the angle of his eyes suggests that he’s not just looking at Sam but looking at Sam’s entire body. And there is linger before he turns back to the scene. 

We can interpret this as Steve doesn’t really want to move away from Washington. He wants to stay closer to Sam. Why he hasn’t found a place yet.  Also, previously, Steve talks about how he would have brought Sam along for the ship fight, meaning during that scene on that ship, Steve was thinking about how Sam should have been there. 

We can also safely infer that Steve and Sam have had team up after Winter Soldier and have a dynamic. They’re spending more time together and they have a style.

So we have the ship battle. Steve during that thinking Sam should be here. and then the next scene Steve invites him to New York to the party. Steve is constantly thinking about Sam and wants Sam to be around him. 

I just think that’s neat.

Ok. I'm not a shipper, really I'm not. I know my posts have gotten popular with Falcap folks and really, go for it, shine on you crazy diamonds. But these two, with Steve lounging back like that, talking like their conversation just got interrupted in a not entirely unpleasant manner. EXHAUSTION  EVIDENT ,  BUT  AS  A  DISTANT  MEMORY  :   FADED ,  PRESENT ,  IN  THE  WAY  HE  RUNS  HANDS  OVER  HIS  EYES ,  DOWN  HIS  FACE ,  watching his companion as he ordered drinks for the pair ,  the tavern a seemingly inconspicuous location ,  where fame and recognition wouldn't hinder them .

found it difficult ,  revealing his location to even a friend ,  fears that he would be shunned for mistakes that cost him dearly .    but remarkably ,  the Asgardians ,  and the humans to whom he disclosed this information ,  were extremely understanding ,  and would go so far as to say they thought he made the right decision ,  and admired his huge sacrifice .     somehow ,  that was harder to deal with .

small smile as Sam returns ,  settling on the couch opposite .      ❝      Steve told me you were persistent ,  but I only realised  HOW  persistent when you were trying to find out where I was hiding .      ❞
