"My sweet Melody, your moods already sour." Raine calls from the comfort of the couch but you stay silent and mournful as you lean your head against the cool glass staring at the world outside. They were right you were in a terrible mood.

"Yeah (Y/N) you're acting like someones dead. So we have a change of plans? Who cares?" Eda asks as she comes out of the kitchen with a bunch of snacks. The tub of Ice Scream entices you for a second but then you're looking away. Still grumpy at the whole situation, you sign watching as the window begins to fog under your warm touch. As it slowly turns white blocking your view, you pull your hand back crossing your arms. Listening to the boiling rain pour outside from the safety of the Owlhouse you huff.

Luz and King were at a sleepover and the three of you were meant to have a date night, the first one in months but now your reservations were likely cancelled and the plans you'd made for your favorite holiday were ruined.

Lightning flashed outside and your eyes followed some leaves as they blew in a colorful whirlwind of death. Bad weather sucked.

"..." Pouty and annoyed you didn't listen as your partners continued to try and cheer you up.

Hearing shifting from behind you pause as a fluffy blanket is tossed over your head. Crying out and throwing your arms around as the assailant scoops you up in the blanket the mischievous Owl Lady smirks before she throws you onto your favorite bard who nuzzles you with a similar smirk.

"We can all still have fun. Promise." Raine states as they pull down the blanket to pepper your face in kisses. Cheeks going red they laugh at your expression before gently bumping their head against yours. "I don't like people anyways. I have all I need here." Raine says softly as their hand comes up to stroke your cheek.

Eda flops on the other side of you before cuddling close. "We'll make a night in. That doesn't sound bad at all now does it?" She asks as the snacks she was levitating plop onto the table in front of you. Bard Hard was already on the Orb along with a bunch of horror movies on queue waiting to be played. Pouting still sad Halloween got cancelled they begin kissing your face on both sides making you giggle.

"No! No! Stop! Stop! It sounds wonderful! It sounds wonderful!" You relent laughing as they begin to gang up on you and tickle you. Smirking in triumph, Eda gives your neck a nuzzle as Raine gives you a gentle forehead kiss before they plop back down on the couch holding you close. As you get comfortable on Raine Eda adjusts and gets comfortable on you, all of you snuggling as the beginning credits start to play.

"Scary movies and cuddling it is then." Eda hums triumphantly as she begins smooching your face again.

"Hey!" You whine but it's no use. They both loved you and they weren't afraid to show it. Through better or worse all of you were together and they were right, a night in never hurt anyone.

I genuinely LOVE Splatoon so MUCH! It's a crazy fun game that has such silly vibes. The player base is pretty chill (aside from splatfest drama but every fandom has it's thing).

It’s Lloyd, it’s almost always going to be Lloyd (don’t ever put him up against my puppy, I don’t think I could choose). I feel like he’d enjoy getting creative with a knife, and yeah, his pumpkin would probably have an extremely violent motif that would not be safe for trick or treaters but that’s fine, I can do the cutesy scenes.

Plus, with me looking all cute in thigh high wool socks and a plaid mini skirt and cropped sweater, I feel like he’d probably get distracted enough that we’d only get halfway done before he bent me over the table and fucked me until I couldn’t walk home. So… maybe it would turn into a horror movie marathon while I just cockwarm him for the rest of the weekend, and that’s a bonus 😉

Lowkey I’ve always felt I would have made an excellent Horse Girl. A little while ago Mel and Baylor and I we’re driving through Oklahoma and Baylor was like “what would you have done if you lived here” and I was like “I would have to have been a Horse Girl, it’s the only honest thing to be.”

I have tried riding horses once or twice and it was terrifying, and many things make it an ill advised hobby for me, including my lack of coordination and seasonal allergies. Still, I think if I had grown up in a very small town I would have overcome those things, and found happiness as “that odd girl who’s got her head in the clouds, but she sure does have a way with horses,” or something like that.

👻 ghost: can you tease some wip ideas that have been haunting you/something you want to write in the future?

This feels a bit random, but it's the first one that came to mind... I have an angsty songfic in the works for The Newsroom, for Nothing New. It's Sloan-centric bc she's such a good character and also being a WOC in the public eye as she is must be an insanely stressful experience. I'd like to dig into how her profession as an economist never really prepared her for certain aspects of "fame" and while she's adjusted to living life in the spotlight, some parts of it are Just Fucked Up. There might be a stalker involved. It might involve scenes of professor!Sloan that I've wanted to write for a while now. Who knows what might happen...

halloween: if you could dress up as anyone/ anything and pull it off absolutely flawlessly, who/what would it be?

Oh my gosh. I love dressing up. I think the best would be Mrs. White from Clue.

cozy blankets: where do you feel the most safe and at home?

Ooo. I am wildly privileged in that I feel comfortable in many spaces. I think I am most at home when I get to share space with people I love as I am (which is fairly loud and quite silly). I’m grateful that I have so far found two communities (outside of my family) who have celebrated that and I’m living in one and the other one is my formal home base!

haunted houses: what’s your scariest memory? (if you don’t have one/ don’t want to talk about it, what’s your biggest fear?)

I have very western reactions to the dead and I’m not comfortable in places of the dead. When I was eight my parents youth group had gone to a replica of a catacomb and it obviously was not an actual burial site but it very much creeped me out. The icing on the cake was when we left that space it led to a church where a friar who had died was laid out for viewing before his funeral. So while there were no bodies in the catacombs we walked out to one. Thinking about it now I’m amazed I didn’t scream. Way to go eight year old self. Look at that composure.

Rain - favorite type of weather?

I’m gonna cheat because I just love all kinds of fall weather (and honestly most kinds of weather). Stormy and ominous with thick purple clouds and trees lit yellow by low sun? perfect. Bright sunny cool and crisp? yes please. Steady slow rain soaking the fallen leaves? indulgent. Bitter frost on gray mornings with warm cider? to die for. I just can’t choose.

Sweaters - what's your go to fall outfit?

I have a chunky burnt orange sweater dress I adore and pair with my knee high riding boots (cognac leather) and home knit boot socks (in taupe). Ngl it’s a look.

Tea - what's something that soothes you?

Warm meals. Things like chili and cornbread or creamy casserole or homemade mac and cheese. And warm spiced apple cider.
