When Kepler found his long-cherished belief did not agree with the most precise observation, he accepted the uncomfortable fact. He preferred the hard truth to his dearest illusions, that is the heart of science.

One of the hardest aspects of my mental illness is my inability to advocate for myself. Whether it’s in a medical setting or a restaurant where I’ve been given the wrong food, I can’t help but pester myself that I’m meant to be mistreated and this is the way the world is. No matter how much work I do these false belief have a choke hold on me.

To truly heal, you are going to have to change the way you think. You are going to have to become very conscious of negative and false beliefs and start shifting to a mindset that actually serves you

Churches God acknowledges as His church
Church of Christ
End of list
Matthew 16:18
[18]And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
The church of Christ teaches the one true gospel, unrevised and biblically founded. There's only one faith, one gospel, one baptism, and one truth. If you attend any other church than church of Christ, I encourage you to switch to one. Those looking to join christianity, I also encourage to become a member of the church of Christ.
I hope God guides you down the one true path that leads to salvation. Have a good rest of your Sunday.

If you hold false beliefs then your consciousness vibrates within a collective consciousness that doesn’t exist.

losing a religion —
They teach: be kind, and do the right thing,
and you fervently practice the mantras like it is a holy religion
They preach a self-serving morality like it is gospel,
and you submit out of need for belonging, out of fear of being forsaken.
And you want to be right, and you want to be good,
And you want to be seen as so pious, and dutiful indeed…
How damning must it feel, then, when this reality collapses,
when this structure crumbles underneath your feet…
losing a template
because outgrown or eventually proven completely false;
losing a faith
due to its teachings not applying to too many mature circumstances;
losing a knowing
due to relationships and experiences radically changing in importance, in meaning;
losing a love
when one is now fully seen, and affections and attachments were based on misinterpreted perceptions.
Mostly it was the superficial wrapping itself of the belief that sustained you rather than the actual substance of the belief.
And maybe it was useful in that it gave you illusion of purpose and direction
And maybe it was all a waste of good energy.
Yet you’re feeling both lost and hopeful because
Surely this isn’t an ending, is it?
Something was real, wasn’t it?
It can’t all have been pointless, isn’t that right?
so now what?

Millions of American Christians have come to believe in a heterodox theology according to which the physical return of the Jewish people to their ancestral lands is necessary to bring about the return of Christ and the end of the world. Furthermore, during the tribulation that will ensue, believers in this theology will be “raptured” into heaven and spared the unspeakable terrors that will then afflict the human race. This theological opinion would have been news to Augustine and St. Thomas, not to mention Martin Luther and the Protestant movement. Brent McGuire, senior pastor at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in … Continue reading →
Why The Rapture story that Israel is key to return of Christ is non Biblical nonsense. There is no real reason that Christians must support modern Israel. Modern Israel is not the same as Biblical Israel.

🧿When people try to tear you down and destroy your confidence, remember that people who truly love themselves don’t feel the need to talk shit about others. Insecure people LOVE to make others feel just as shitty as they do about themselves.

Seven Misconceptions in the Digital Age that anyone (who wishes) should be familiar with
Robots and AI are fundamentally emotionally stupid
The truth is that there is no essential difference between human and machine intelligence with respect to their neurological architecture besides the fact that the research and implementation of the latter are behind the first, but it consistently grows in an exponential sequence. Modesty hasn't killed anyone, yet. Arrogance has.
The Internet reflects objective information and reality
The truth is that what is accessible to the majority of people is only the tip of the iceberg of the whole digital ocean of knowledge, and that tip is completely governed by very few non-democratic corporations. With the rise of mass digital communication, people are less lonely since everyone’s always connected. The truth is the exact opposite. Mental disorders in the US have increased by 48% between 1990 to 2019. In fact, there is an inverse proportion between digital media growth and mental illness.
With the help of social media, more people are able to discuss, debate, share knowledge, and reach modus vivendi.
The truth is that conflicts between social parties only escalate. The current architecture of social media promotes ideological indoctrination rather than a moderate mutual discussion, for the virtue of their business model. With the growth of mass digital media, people are finally able to acknowledge reality in a broader context. Due to a variety of reasons, people nowadays are more ignorant and fed with misconceptions more than ever. The number of people that truly believe in conspiracies such as alien inference or climate change scam is at its highest historical peak.
Technology helps people to set themselves free
With the absolute technological governance on our lives, we are also always available. The former distinction between work and life balance no longer holds. We are prone to a constant demand to respond to messages, emails, and notifications, from our lovers, family, and bosses around the clock.
Technology can cure everything
Except for very scarce and fictional scenarios when dummy things such as viruses that come up from nowhere shock the world and paralyze the whole world. I guess technology is ain’t the cure for everything after all.
