MORE CONTEXT

So ive been seeing things of hamsters getting paint on their feet and running across a canvas, and i dont really like that idea personally, even with nontoxic paint. Ive also seen people put globs of paint on a canvas, cover it with cling wrap, and put peanut butter over the canvas and have the dogs lick it of and smear around the paint.

What if i combined the two? I have paint on a canvas, and have the critters waddle over it cling film?

I've been on the fence about posting this. This has to be THE most intensive stressful piece of art I've ever done, but I'm barely content enough with how it turned out to share it. It took well over 60 hours (I'd stopped keeping track), a series of program failures, 6GB of backup files, sleep loss trying to beat 100+ degree heat, The Plague Or Something, working through pet death, buggy emails, redraws redraws redraws - all in all gave me a lot of grief. There's still plenty I wish I could've taken more time to improve on and it'll chew a hole through my brain if I let it.

Say hello to Russ the mouse!

Russ is currently my only pet rodent, and the first mouse I’ve ever owned. He’s in a bin cage with 480 square inches of floor space, a 10 inch diameter wheel, and plenty of toys and decor!

Russ lives alone, and it was recommended by the rescue that I keep him alone. I did try to adopt him with his brother, but the two used to live in a colony with their other brothers that ended up quite violent and unsafe for all involved, so they split the boys up and adopted them out separately.

He’s a little over a year old, and has seemingly endless energy and love to give!
