Fanfics on AO3 are very well tagged these days. You see barely a few authors (mostly amateurs) who don’t tag their works. Most of the time, if there are no tags, then there are summaries and warnings listed in the author notes.

So if you’re reading a well-tagged work and going to comment shit about it, don’t. You know what you’re going to find in there. If it’s not something you like, just leave.

Don’t harass those authors, man. These platforms are just creative outlets to most of them, an escape from their realities. A lot of times, these are the things that keep them going. Don’t be an asshole about it.

Don’t like, don’t engage. It really is that simple.

If you’re really brimming with hate that much, find some other ways to let it out. Idk, maybe smash a plate, pick up a sport, whatever. Just don’t hate on people for doing what they can to keep going while not harming others.

Damn, but the audacity people have here to put others down like that. Yikes.

There's a first time for everything, after more than a decade on this hellsite and too many sideblogs, this is my first time getting anon hate. This is the last thing I expected when I opened my inbox this morning.

First of all, you must feel so proud of what you accomplished, the only point of this message was to be hurtful, to hurt me. So congratulations are in order I guess.

Second, how dare you? How fucking dare you tell other people how they should experience fandom? I don't care if you think my graphics are shitty, I don't care if other people don't like them. I care. I choose to celebrate this show doing graphics. Other people write fanfic, meta, gif, vid, do unbelievable artwork. Unlike you, other people choose to be positive and support creative fandom work.

Block this sideblog and you won’t have to see my outdated graphics ever again.

I desperately wanted to recommend this hate anon, but I cannot bring myself to do so. Save your time, delete if they should send one to you.

I've been slowly removing invasive honeysuckle and using it's bones to make yard structures.

I've personally saved at least 5 adult trees in the neighborhood from an invasive plant called winter creeper that will slowly choke a mature tree to death if left unattended. It's already claimed a 100 year old maple a block away from me.

Or you know as a little treat, for me, I've been completely redoing the closet that my hot water heater use to live in before it fucking exploded.

The water damage was... extensive.

So, since i've been here before in another fandom, when the leadsinger of my then favourite band started dating another band's leadsinger.

I'm pretty new in this fandom, as active member, but after Inquisitor3, I just want to make a PSA:

Please don't hate on her or threaten either of them. I know we all want to be his partner, but just keep that as a fantasy. We don't need this type of hate in a fandom. Especially not when the person in question is a fucking private fothermocker with everything about his personal life.

Some of y'all REAAALLLLLY mischaracterize Jason.

He isn't a sad little gay boy who's misunderstood and nice. He's a kid with trauma who shows out. I feel bad for him, but he isn't a little angel.

I feel like the double standard is used with him and wildernessa. People say she's "mean" and "annoying" but she's similar to Jason in certain ways. (Craig "rival", know it all, comes off kinda annoying, well written) But they're also different.

In all honestly the only mischaracterization I see for Jason is people saying he's a 'bully' or an irredeemable monster. The guy dammed up a creek and sprayed kids with a water gun not kick a puppy to the middle of the street.

I do agree, him and Vanessa do have some similarities, but they are pretty different from each other. I do feel like there's a sort of double standard of some kind with the two, I'm just confused how the crew made Craig immediately forgave Vanessa but made Craig continue hating Jason for the sake of it.

this is entirely speculation, but i feel like some part of Levi's hate could stem from how he is a popular character among many women. Of course, people of all ages and genders adore Levi, but I have noticed across many fandoms that the one loved the most by women is often bad-mouthed the most as well

people can like and dislike any character they wish, but as you stated, to dislike Levi would be to dislike all he stands for and to obsessively hate on him and his fans online, that takes a lot of build-up IMO that a specific character can't entirely cause

I agree with that. You often see this kind of push-back on characters who are popular among women or girls. Gojo Satoru is a good example of this, too. You can find multiple examples across various fandoms, I'm sure.

But yes, for Levi specifically, to dislike him or hate him is to dislike or hate what he stands for, which as I said, is compassion and kindness. For real. That's what Levi stands for, and that's why I said anyone who genuinely hates him would have to be a massive cynic. But to obsessively hate him the way most of his haters do, to the point of harassing his fans over it, it speaks more to some sort of insecurity on their part. They're threatened by him and his popularity, whether that's because they don't like him because he reminds them of their own shortcomings as people, or they hate him for being more popular than their own favorite character, or they feel actual jealousy of his popularity, which goes back to him reminding them of their own shortcomings. And so they lash out at him and the people who are his fans. It's the same reason certain people get off on tearing famous people down. They like to shit on someone and tear someone down whom they perceive to be better than them in some way, because it makes them feel better about themselves and their own, shitty lives.

I’ve been in this fandom since 2015 and users like you and feckless ass hat have been posting hate and harassment to my fandom’s space nearly constantly for those past what? 8 years meow?

we have been banned from reddits and forums for the crime of enjoying a fictional canon ship.

we have been told to kill ourselves and have been threatened with guns and violence.

Fuck, I’ve been told to kill myself or have been sent graphic death threats over 900 fucking times over the past not even full year. I only recently started keeping track.
