DC Prompt #1
In this au, Robin doesn't appear until after Batman and Superman have met each other.
And looking at how...bright Robin is there are 3 theories:
Batman is just some guy. He respects Superman and thus, adopted a kid that embodied his optimism
Batman isn't human and he just liked Superman so much he poofed Robin into existence.
Robin is made from a piece of Superman and Batman. In hopes of brightening Gotham or something???
Inspired by this thread.

Compromising Positions
(BruDick; 5+1 Things, Smut)
rated E || No Archive Warnings Apply || 16k
Bruce and Dick keep getting caught in compromising positions. It’s all just circumstantial though, of course. Dick keeps insisting they aren’t fucking, so they must not be. Right? OR, five times someone walks into Bruce and Dick in compromising yet innocent positions, and the one time they’re actually fucking.
Written for @brudick-week — Day 6: Caught in the Act
Features sillyness, undercover work at a kinky gay nightclub, a healthy dose of pining, and, of course, all the horny things.

In the DC Universe, there are ten known emotional energies that can be channeled into a power source for Lantern Rings. The wielder of these rings are assembled into Corps, and come into conflict with one another often. This is a list of all the currently known energies and their associated Corp.
Red: the energy of rage. From righteous fury, to mindless bloodlust, all fall under the red light of rage. The Red Lanterns are led by Atrocitus, and based on the hellish world of Ysmault. Weilders of the red light boast incredible strength, and a breath weapon that can break most other constructs.
Orange: the energy of greed. The most secretive and lonely Corp, the only member is the insane Larfleeze. The orange lantern can create constructs of any foe the ring has defeated, and there have been many who have fallen to it.
Yellow: the energy of fear. Those who join the yellow Sinestro Corp are masters of sewing fear into those around them, bringing those fears to life with their constructs. The Sinestro Corp is, of course, led by Sinestro, and based out of the planet Qward in the antimatter universe.
Green: the energy of willpower. The most well-known of all the Corps, the green lantern insignia is a symbol for good across the galaxy. They are also among the most numerous, boasting numbers in the thousands. The Corp is led by the Guardians from the planet Oa, and is the most well documented of the colors here.
Blue: the energy of hope. One of the smaller Corps, but by no means weak. The Blue Lanterns are an oddity in that they cannot create energy constructs like the others, but this is made up for by multiplying the strength of nearby Green Lanterns, and by depowering nearby Red Lanterns. They are led by former guardians Ganthet and Sayd, and are based on the planet Odym.
Indigo: the energy of compassion. Unlike other Corps, the members do not wear the indigo lantern rings. In fact, they are not considered a Corp: the indigo tribe is a group of wanderers on the planet Nok, who use their lantern rings as the bindings for the galaxy's greatest sociopaths to rehabilitate them.
Violet: the energy of love. The Star Sapphire Corp used to be a single vessel for a powerful parasitic crystal, but has since grown to an elite group of female warriors. To become a Star Sapphire, one must have loved another and have that love spurned. The Corp is based on Zameron, it's crystals altered by the Zamerons to give lantern powers to its wielder.
White: the energy of life. The White Light is a rare occurrence, embodying the entire emotional spectrum, and only appears in times of great need. The power of a White Lantern is far greater than any other Lantern, but comes at a cost; the White Light has a will of its own, and will subjugate the personality of its bearer until it's will is fulfilled.
Black: the energy of death. During the Sinestro war, the Guardians lifted the life lock on the green lantern rings, allowing them to kill their opponents. This fulfilled the an ancient prophecy, and allowed the Black Lantern Ring to emerge from the Green Lantern Power Battery on Oa. It found its host in the recently deceased William Hand, who began raising an army of Black Lantern Zombies to feast on the emotions of the living.
Ultraviolet: the energy of the unseen emotions. The Ultraviolet Lantern Corp is the hand of Umbrax, a sentient star that possesses and controls all members of the Corp (save a few notable exceptions). It feeds off the unseen emotions, the surpressed and hidden emotions in the day-to-day that all life exhibits.

Sorry to everyone else but Dick Grayson/Nightwing has one of the coolest origin stories in comicbook history. Raised in the circus when his parents die, only to be adopted and raised by Batman, a billionaire vigilante and the greatest detective alive, taken under his wing and trained to become a vigilante/detective too, only to then eventually become a savior of his own city, like honestly... I love it sm. Definitely in the top 5 origin stories for me tbh. 10/10

Clark Kent versus John Oliver
I know who Clark Kent is, not sure about John Oliver.... Okay, so apparently he's a British-American comedian, and his wikipedia page is green under Shinigami Eyes.
I don't feel comfortable doing this game with real people I don't know, so instead I'll substitute myself.
Clark Kent wins by a landslide: fast writing that can be read later on. Even if he's cheating by just drawing meaningless lines, and remembering the subject to recite (so he's not actually "reading" it), that's still more impressive than my horrible handwriting and horrible memory, where I can't tell what I wrote and I don't remember what I wrote either.
I win by a landslide: looking awesome.
Evenly matched: attracting kittens. Animals tend to like me, but Clark Kent is such a pure soul that animals also respond to that.
Unable to be judged: dealing with a massive disaster, because Clark Kent always disappears in such cases, generally right before Superman shows up.

The Batman(2022) Oc Plot Bunnies
1.) Maverick Pennyworth
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maverick was a boy who was found and adopted by Alfred to help serve the Wayne family before they were murdered. He ended up becoming a close childhood friend of Bruce because of this. As they grew older and Bruce became the Batman, Maverick was worried for his friend and secret crush life so he took on his own masked mantel and became Duke of the Shadows. Watching, protecting Gotham’s Dark Knight in the shadows.
2.) Callum(The Jackal)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Callum is a well known crime reporter by day and a murderous anti-hero called The Jackal by night.
Before he had become the Jackal, something horrible had happened to his family. The people of Gotham just stood by and watched it happen, no one helped. Not only that, but justice was not served after the killers were caught, someone covered it up and they had gotten away with it. But, not for long.
The Jackal had been born that day and brutally murdered the killers, sending messages to Gotham that terrible people will pay terrible prices for their crimes. Callum had decided to become someone who would step in and give violent criminals what they deserve.
He's very skilled with knives and guns, he doesn't have any superpowers just a normal dude with internal rage he gets out by killing criminals.

Honestly I think it’s so funny that in the Marvel universe, when someone’s really smart, they have like eight to twelve doctorates and they finished high school at age twelve.
And then over in the DC universe it’s like. This is Tim Drake. He’s a genius. He keeps cloning his loved ones. He dropped out of highschool. Over there is Barry Allen. He can reverse engineer a spaceship in less than a minute. He is such a good chemist he’s still going to be known as the best chemist in 4,000 years. He has a bachelor’s degree.

Bruce Wayne's Terrors of Night (And How to Not Get Yelled At) (Superbat; 5+1 Things)
rated M || No Archive Warnings Apply || 8.5k
“Do you want to talk about it?” Clark asks softly. Once more, the alarm signals in Bruce’s mind go off, flashing bright red. “Nothing to talk about,” he replies stoically, and hopes and hopes and hopes Clark just drops it. Clark, of course, does not. OR, 5+1 times Bruce wakes up next to a random one night stand after a nightmare and refuses to talk about it, and the one time he actually opens up.
inspired by that ridiculous scene in batman v superman where bruce is shown waking up next to some random lady after a nightmare, which made me think about how he would absolutely hate to let people take care of him after a nightmare. enjoy

The reason I love the Red Hood being a crime lord instead of a vigilante is that Crime Alley, functionally, doesn't have the same problems as the rest of Gotham. Their main problem isn't the mad Rogues running around, it's the cycle of poverty, violence, and crime that they're all stuck in. And you know what one of the main ways to combat this is? Community. Organizing. Working together.
Except Crime Alley can't just choose to do that. Who would choose to join such a risky proposition instead of a gang that you know can help protect your family? So the Red Hood comes in and he looks like he's just creating another gang, the same as all the others.
Except he's serious about not selling drugs to kids or people in danger of overdosing. Except he protects the working girls fiercely, even if it loses him money. Except all the money he does make goes straight into the community if it's not making sure his employees are alright.
Working within the system is often a necessary measure to fix the system. Except the system in the case of Crime Alley isn't the government that abandoned them, it's the volatile, terrible gang set up. So Red Hood didn't just work within the system, he took it over and made it work for him instead.
Is this perfect? No. The other bats have valid disagreements with Jason's way of doing things. But he is doing so much good.

I like to imagine that if any of the Bat-Kids are out in public, whether they be getting food, shopping, patrolling, just walkin' around, whatever, that if they see the Bat-Signal pop on it's an unspoken rule between the siblings that they have to throw on their costume and try and find/deal with the trouble before Bruce gets there. Just to annoy him.
Batman: "Commissioner Gordon! I got here as fast as I could.. What's the situation?"
Commissioner Gordon: "Oh, Batman, thank you for coming.. It's alright, though, it's already been taken care of by these fellows."
*Gestures to the side where there's a couple of muggers sitting tied up next to Nightwing(He has pink, glittery shopping bags hanging all over his arms), Red Hood(He's rummaging through the bags Nightwing is holding, trying to find the black nail polish he just bought to touch up his nails after the fight), Red Robin(He's sipping a cup of coffee that he accidentally stole because he ran out of the cafe so quickly that he forgot to pay), and Robin(He's chowing down on a kids' meal from Bat-Burger)*
Batman: ...
Batman: *Subtle annoyed glare*
