this musical podcast is charming but I will not become involved in the fandom because I don't believe in hero-worshipping celebrities or referring to them exclusively by their first names (also one of the pettier reasons I hate tswift fans). no matter how friendly or approachable or cool-seeming these people are, they are at the end of the day performers who are being paid and getting fans based in large part on how charming and likeable they are, so they have incentive to appear a certain way. maybe they are just as lovely in private as they are in public, but ultimately they're still strangers to the vast majority of fans who interact with them. and can I be real. these musicals aren't THAT good
