2. When I think I truly started to like them (or dislike them, if you've sent me a character I don't like)

ok see the thing about five is that he is such a compelling character to me. INSANELY compelling. i mean come on, kid who lost himself in the literal apocalypse at THIRTEEN and his whole family was dead, and then he spent DECADES working his ass off and then working as an assassin all to get back and save his family but when he does he fucks up and is an old man stuck in a child's body? i ate that shit RIGHT UP. he's a bitch he's an old geezer he's a cranky weirdo he kills people and his morals are fucked as all hell. i LOVED five right away he was so cool

HOWEVER. HOWEVER. if u were in tua fandom circa 2019 u know what a hell hole it was. u know that no one could be normal about any fucking thing. the amount of victim blaming accusations at the siblings were ummm. yeah. it was hostile back then and to some degree it still is probably adkdsjds. so after a while that kind of ruined five for me a little bit because. no one GOT him u know? no one got him right and it was frustrating + all the five stans were the weirdest most rabid people around back then. so that began to put me off the character as a whole. plus aidan gallagher was being so rampantly silly (derogatory) back then too

but actually i do still like five. i think that his story is really interesting and his love for his family is so integral to the central plot of the whole show and he deserves to retire and have a chill relatively normal life. i didnt care for season 3 but even after all that yeah he should get to just hole up somewhere and idk do normal old man things. also five is funny as hell like im sorry but 13 year old boy losing his absolute shit 24/7 because he's actually a 58 year old adult man with the worst life in the world is never NOT gonna be funny

3. A song that reminds me of them

UNIVERSE EXPANDED BY FRANZ FERDINAND......... it is SO fivecore it is so him in the apocalypse trying to get back home. especially the parts that go "I'll meet you coming backwards, Yes I'll meet you coming back, When the universe has expanded, Time will contract, You'll come back" like . ARGHHHH. also not so much anymore but in my prime of tuaposting "lucky ball & chain" by they might be giants made me think of five and dolores every time without fail

8. Your favorite outfit of them

ok i actually do love fives s3 outfits. like it may not have been as good as the first two seasons but it DID go off with finally letting five wear things that arent a plain suit or an academy uniform. i love his stupid hat i love it when he rocks up to the family gathering decked out in old geezer swag

9. Your least favorite outfit of them

GRRR THE UNIFORM... listen i KNOW its iconic i KNOW he spends two seasons wearing it but AGHH FREE HIM!!!!!!! FREE HIM

30. The funniest scene they had?

every other scene he's in is so insanely fucking funny i cant pick. lets see tho umm big fan of when in s2 he rocks up to elliott's house and starts acting like he owns the place, big fan of his return scene in s1 where he's making the world's worst sandwich and calls diego stupid for not understanding quantum physics, also i liked the whole worlds biggest ball of twine subplot in s3. OH ALSO when he was making his list of who he needs to kill in s1 and luther was like "thats murder you cant do that" and he was like "oh my fucking GOD, luther, grow the fuck UP" there are so many fucking things wrong with him

This has been a wild year, because I’ve created a lot of gifs for this blog that isn’t even a year old, and I’ve gotten to know so many sweet, wonderful people. There were many gifs to choose from, so I grouped them, because I’m very proud of my output for this blog.

The Umbrella Academy...but it is a FILM NOIR / HORROR MOVIE

I started this series that I plan on continuing, taking the shots from the Umbrella Academy and editing them to look like a certain genre. I’m especially proud of the fact that I looked up the aspect ratio of noir movies for the Noir AU gifset. This was the initial idea, but while I was working on them, I also kept imagining how I could link these visuals, and slowly but surely I developed stories as I was working on the gifs. I really like the AUs I created, and am sad that I’m not a diligent enough fic writer to be able to write them out in the way they deserve. Also really love the touch of naming the AUs through songs that are on the soundtrack, I really think that idea is neat.

The Lost Hargreeves HERE / HERE

567 is my favourite dynamic that was never truly shown in the show itself. I like Five, Ben and Vanya separately a lot, and I love the idea of them together. I’m very proud of the first gifset I ever made for them, because it shows how similar their stories are, how all of them were pushed to do monstrous things through abuse, and how they deserve better. But I also think there is so much love between them, so much gentleness. I will never be over the parallel of Vanya reaching out for Five to clean his wound after he just killed the Commission hitmen and Ben reaching for Vanya’s hand after she just massacred everyone in the FBI office. I just love this idea of someone still loving them, still reaching out for them at their lowest, at their worst, and not judging, I really adore this dynamic, and if I may say so, I kind of went off with the colouring on both.

Soundtrack Sets HERE / HERE

I adore the soundtrack of the show, and I’m a sucker for lyrics as they are used in a scene. So far, I’ve made two gifsets about the lyrics, one that is just about how some lyrics of Season 1 would have fit some of the Hargreeves siblings but weren’t used for them, and another that shows how the lyrics of songs specific to Five scenes interconnect because I love me some thematic coherence. I just like playing with words and how they fit to images, and TUA really is a show that lets me do that. I also just really like the look of the Five gifset specifically, because I really went experimental on that one, and it was fun to figure out a colour palette for it.

Misc ‘I’m proud of the technical aspects of these!!’ Gifsets

Diego & Allison dynamic: I just love the way these gifs interplay, I like the size I chose for the gifs, and although I would do the colouring differently were I to redo this gifset, I just loved making this so much because Diego and Allison have such a great dynamic.

Vissy in the barn: I love this moment, and Marin Ireland is so RIDICULOUSLY charming in the show, but this is on here because I really outdid myself with the colouring here. Soft orange and blue, and that for a scene that is terribly lit. I’m still so proud.

It’s Tough to be a God for Klaus: I am SO fucking proud of the lettering I did for this one. It looks awesome, I think the song I picked is fun and fitting, and just. The framing I did with the text. I really am happy with it, and I’m bad at lettering usually.

Team Dumbass Relationship Growth Appreciation Post: The colours I did here pop beautifully, even though I really struggled with some of them (the light in Elliott’s home?!? a nightmare). I also just loved showing their growth through this simple idea, simple quote, with the black and white gifs from S1E1 and S2E10, and I love the orange and cyan for the font. I should continue the visual with other dynamics, now that I think of it.

Five Favourite Five Gifsets of 2020

Five: The Mammoth Project: This was THE project of the year for me. I combed through all the Five scenes of Seasons 1 and 2, and picked favourite moments. I had to make cuts, as well as the decision to only do dialogue bits. I could redo this with just nonverbal acting moments, I just adore this performance that much. I worked for weeks on this set. I love the colouring I did, and I just love the range the set showcases. Aidan Gallagher is so good in this role, and this set is a love letter to the performance.

Five + Greek Mythology: This was so self-indulgent, but this gifset turned out so pretty. Five’s story reminds me very much of a Greek tragedy in its thematics, and he has so many characteristics of an archetypal Greek hero, and this was just about me concretising this idea in visuals and writing.

Five and the Handler on the Highway: This is the only gifset on here I think definitely flopped, which makes me so, so sad. I really like this moment and I love the colouring I did for it even more. The blue is so clear and so sharp and offsets the red, and the fact that this gifset hasn’t even cracked 150 notes really bums me out, because I love it a lot.

Five + MCR’s ‘Teenagers’: Good colouring! Good lettering! One of two MCR songs I know! I really had fun making it because Teenagers is such a song that would fit both Five and a Five fight scene, and so putting it over the Board massacre was a delight.

Five’s reaction to other assassin’s quitting: I just love this acting moment so much, the consistency of it all. How Aidan Gallagher just perfectly conveys this little moment of understanding, of being glad for someone else, a moment of recognition. I also love the colouring on this, the blues turned out so nice.

Ok first things first: "only kills when he feels like he has to" ?? I feel like I have to kill about 10 times a day lmaoo, doesnt mean its ok to do it. Five murders intentionally, Vanya kills when she loses control. I think this is a significant difference to make, if entirely irrelevant to the issue of white favoritism.

The way I understand the term white favoritism here (correct me if I’m wrong English is my second language) is the writers/producers or fans treating a white character better than they would a character of colour. We see it in white characters receiving more screentime, more complex and thought out storylines as well as better development both in canon and in fan works. We also see it, as others have pointed out, fan reactions such as Lila getting dragged for being a brown girl version of Five.

However, where fans are concerned, I think it gets a little more complex than “Person A doesnt like this poc character, but likes that white character, this is racism”. See, fandom likes to think they are gods that take canon and play with it as if it’s a piece of clay, but tua is an extremely well-crafted visual media, these characters have a lot to them, their presentation, the way they are written, and their development dictate the audience’s response. Most of the responsibility with avoiding something as subtle as white favoritism, imo, falls on the show’s creators; you cannot expect/rely on people having good enough analytical skills to recognise both the creators bias and /possibly/ their own.

Do you think that Robert Sheehan’s wardrobe choices are accidental? Or the fact that teenagers are in love with Aidan Gallagher? Both characters are designed to be attractive to certain demographics (LGBTQ+ community/ horny kids that dont have a one direction(those two do overlap)). The issue here isnt so much about which character does the worse thing and is forgiven by fandom. The issue comes down to the fact that fans are more willing to empathize with characters that are better written (to be likable) and better presented. Not nicer or more moral.

The whole Point of the show is that there aren’t objectively good or bad people, but if there were, all of the sibling would fall into the bad category. That’s why it’s a good show, it makes you empathize with people who do awful things. That being said, Vanya is a well-written character, but she’s literally the Big Bad of season 1 and a red herring big bad in s2. Shes way too central to the plot to not be given the required attention. But in terms of fan-reception ( and this is a very difficult to say for certain, as it’s impossible to measure) I have noticed that people tend to not care for her as much? When i say she’s a “smoll bean”, ya gotta notice the irony, I am fully aware she murdered people (although how much of that was her fault is up for a Very Long Discussion), she was by no means a likable character until s2 where she got to date Sissy (and i think this was also very intentional of the writers).

So, to get back to the point of your ask: Although there is always some racial bias behind every creative decision, I don't think shes that big of an example of favoritism on the side of the creators here, she needs to be a compelling character to perform her function, but at no point do i think, “man, Vanya is just so perfect, what a wonderful person, truly a model human being i want more of her and only her.” And this might just be my experience, but i haven't noticed her being much of a fan-favourite. In fact, I think she’s the second least liked character after Luther. People argue a lot about if she shoud be forgiven, she’s definitely not viewed in entirely positive light. The people who love her, mostly find the positives in her relationship with Sissy and the wlw representation. Which is a neat trick that Steve pulled, ngl, he got us there, he really knows his demographic(oh boy but thats another long topic right there). I don’t see much fan content about her on her own? Idk I could be wrong or too desensitized.

A Rebuttal

Ok so I really did not want to make this post. I would’ve loved to have left this whole thing behind because I’m aware I made some mistakes and would like to atone for them, but it seems I’m going to have to go over this one more time. For anyone seeing this post who somehow doesn’t know, I said some regrettable things about Aidan Gallagher here. I later made another post here summarising the entire situation that resulted, so I would suggest you read that first.

I’m still getting people telling me what I said was fucked up, which is entirely justified. However, I have just now realised that the person who took it upon themselves to ‘correct’ me about my opinions of Aidan Gallagher (something that has not changed, I still strongly dislike him) later made several derogatory posts about me. I was not aware of this because after the first rude post they made about me, I blocked them to save myself the additional stress.

I have done my best to deal with this whole thing as calmly and politely as possible. When this person was downright evil towards me, I didn’t bother to argue with them, I just made an admittedly-snarky post with a screenshot of what they said, and then blocked them because I had no desire to begin an argument. When I realised that what I had said about Aidan Gallagher had been fucked up, I apologised, accepted my mistake and did what I could to fix it. But I am out of patience. I don’t take kindly to being treated the way this person has treated me, I don’t think anyone does. So here I am, about to break down everything they said about me bit by bit to show you how much of a lying scumbag they have been towards me (as well as possibly others).

My first interaction with this person was when i got an anon ask who wanted to know what Aidan Gallagher had done to make me dislike him. I responded with a brief list, excluding most of my evidence because it was late at night and I didn’t have the energy to go down the rabbit hole of all this. The following day, the blog this post is about reblogged my post, attempting to disprove everything I said. I will not include screenshots here, because it was a long post, you can find it in my archive if you so wish. I read what they said, took everything into account, and responded with my proof for things I hadn’t previously included the proof for, as well as explanations for why certain things he’s said annoyed/upset me. I expected a polite response, as we had both been courteous so far.

Instead, I received the following:

Now, lets break down some of what they said.

‘stop saying things you can’t prove, because it’s fake’ - I provided my proof. I am not trying to lie to anyone, or perpetuate rumours. All I aimed to do was explain my point of view and why I personally dislike him.

‘some of your screenshots are fake’ - That’s just blatantly untrue, especially as they have at other points said things along the lines of ‘well yes but he apologised/he didn’t mean it like that’ for everything I have provided screenshots for. Make up your mind.

‘you’re so gullible’ - For... having an opinion? That I researched before forming? And which is based on something other than my blind faith in a 17 year old? Right.

This was when I blocked them.

I thought that was going to be the end of the situation. Then, I got some asks.

I saw this and, being a minor, was a little creeped out. I had assumed this person was a teenage fangirl because that’s who the majority of Aidan Gallgher’s fans are so this information was surprising.

This one scared me. I did what the anon suggested, created a backup (i won’t tag it here because I get the feeling some of the aforementioned ‘army’ are going to see this) and reported the other blog. Once again, I thought it was over.

It was at this point that people started telling me how fucked up what I said in my original post was, and I realised they were right. As mentioned at the start of this post, I apologised, and did everything I could to fix it. End of, right?

Until today, where I started thinking about what the above anons had said and decided to fact check, mainly out of curiosity. I unblocked the blog, only to discover they had made 3 posts about me that I hadn’t seen.

This was the first one, as you can see they began it with a screenshot of my original post. Let’s talk about this.

“but you wishing him dead is ok?” - I never wished him dead, to start with. Stabbing does not automatically equal death, but I know that’s nitpicky of me. I also did not wish he was stabbed. I said in that exact tag that I didn’t, because of TUA. However, I know that this ‘joke’ was really shitty of me, and I have already apologised multiple times.

“what kind of a low life do you have to be to have nothing better to do, but talk shit about a kid?” - Why don’t you tell me? As I’ve said multiple times, I am a minor. That doesn’t excuse what I said, but that does make it incredibly hypocritical of them to say that given everything.

This was the second post they made about me, beginning with the same screenshot as in the first post.

“they’re spreading false rumors” - I’ve already covered this one.

“they want a reason to be mean, even if it isn’t true” - I would never be mean to someone if they hadn’t done anything to deserve it. I’m a strong believer in the moral philosophy of respecting everyone until they give you a reason not to. Aidan Gallagher has given me more than enough reasons to lose respect for him. And, honestly? I still respect him as an actor, even if only that.

“you can’t say you’re a decent human being and wish someone dead. you can’t say you’re anti-bullying and want to prevent suicide and then bully someone” - That is some big talk from someone who claimed they were ok with what Aidan Gallagher said about mental health because they’ve had their own experiences with suicide, before immediately telling me to rot and burn in hell for disagreeing with them. And, wait a second, wasn’t Aidan Gallagher the one supporting women’s rights and feminism who then turned around and made gross comments towards a bunch of girls? Hmm. Also, wishing someone dead is too wide of a blanket statement to actually measure whether someone is a decent human being with.

“i tried to be nice” - I didn’t know telling someone to rot in hell, calling them a stupid hoe, was being nice. I didn’t know lying, and telling people to report someone because they disagreed with you was being nice (notice how they never said anything about my stabbing comment until I disagreed with them.) I guess we have very different definitions of nice.

“if they really cared, they would kindly ask a fan if the rumors were true” - And that, ladies gentleman and variations thereupon, is a brilliant example of how not to perform unbiased research! I based my opinion on actual evidence, and neutral articles as well as arguments from both sides. Not on one fan who’s likely to deny everything.

“they said it themselves, they have no proof” - That is so incredibly cherrypicked. What I actually said was “supposedly used the f-slur although i can’t find proof“, one of the many points on my list of reasons I dislike Aidan Gallagher. You know why I said that? Because I found a screenshot of him supposedly having called someone that slur via Instagram but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and decided it was probably edited. I included the point on my list in the hopes of people doing their own research. And I certainly did not say I had no proof for anything, as you would know if you saw my original response to this blog, where I provided proof.

“threatening him and bullying him is wrong” - I am fully admitting of the fact my stabbing comment was in poor taste but it was very clearly not a threat and not even close to being bullying. Furthermore, I would say making four posts harassing and telling others to harass someone because they disagree with you is a lot closer to being bullying than anything I did was.

“defamation is a crime” - I live in the UK, so let’s use those defamation laws. A statement is not defamation unless it ‘ has caused or is likely to cause serious harm to the reputation of the claimant.’ Less than a hundred people are even aware my blog exists. Nowhere near enough people have seen anything I’ve said to count as defamatory. Not to mention that a statement is not defamatory if it is a statement of opinion.

“you’ll get karma for lying and playing the victim” - Ohhh the irony. I have not lied once. I have provided all the necessary proof for everything and I have owned up to my mistakes. And yet, they, who have repeatedly lied about me, twisted my words and oddly enough, avoided including proof outside that one screenshot of my original post, are the one accusing me of playing the victim. Classy.

“hi to your little follower that you cry to” - This one’s just hilarious to me. I’m happy to have people on here who will let me know when people are, you know, harassing and bullying me. And, what the hell do they mean by ‘cry to’? Do they mean ‘mentioned that this situation was stressful once’? Wow.

“I promise you misery for the rest of your sad little life” - Honestly just re-read the other screenshots after seeing they said this. Jesus Christ. And, as someone who already struggles with depression and other mental health issues I’m interested to know what they’re intending to do that’s gonna be any worse.

“you’ll pay! that’s not a threat it’s a promise” - Are they planning on tracking me down? Or are they just going to keep sitting on their throne of yes men and echo chambers acting as if they’re actually affecting me?

I would say this is the last post I plan to make about this situation but I’ve said that over and over again throughout the last 12 days and it’s never the last post. This whole situation has honestly been very emotionally taxing, and combined with some real life things, it’s been a bad week or so. Hopefully this post is enough to end this whole thing.

5: Favorite ship?

i adored hazel and agnes in season 1. donut lady x disillusioned time assassin has such wholesome vibes and i’m glad they got to be together 🥺 as for season 2, my favorite ship is allison and ray because once again, super wholesome and full of love and support, and they’re such a power couple it’s just amazing

13: Favorite fan theory?

hotel oblivion for s3 !! i haven’t read the comics but from what i’ve seen from posts and speculation and such, it sounds like SUCH a cool idea to explore. love the idea of the siblings trapped in a hotel and the weird plane of existence hotels put you in yknow

18: Favorite actor?

oh man. i absolutely adore how much work aidan gallagher put into portraying five — how he moves, talks, the little ticks in his facial expressions; he does it really really well!! but i also love robert sheehan as klaus. his introduction in s1 was great and his improv is hilarious lol,, seeing the other actors break character because of the ad libbing is just so funny and somehow fits into the whole sibling thing for tua x)

The guy who played Percival I think he's in the umbrella academy right? Is it worth watching?

Tom Hopper indeed made the mistake of joining The Umbrella Academy since many in the fandom used to hate him in season 1 because they don't get three dimensional characters and they also can't tell the difference between character and actor and tbh as a Merlin fan, I can't help seeing similarities between the two characters. Although, Luther -from TUA- is much more traumatized than Percival.

Now the show, as a whole, is certainly worth watching. It's one of the few mainstream shows in Netflix that are fun actually. Of course it has some flaws here and there and it's certainly not a good adaptation of the comics but overall it appeals to everyone.

•It has an excellent cast (Ellen Page is pretty well-known, Tom Hopper was in Merlin, Robert Sheehan is also well-known, Emmy Raver-Lampman was in Broadway shows such as Hamilton meanwhile Aidan Gallagher and David Castañeda are literally acing their roles. And that's just only some of the magnificent cast!)

•It has a killer soundtrack. Although, personally, I'm not loving all song choices (and how they fit the scenes) in season 2, season 1's soundtrack was truly chef's kiss. The best bops in the right moments.

•Gerard Way wrote TUA and who doesn't love Gerard Way? Be it you listened to My Chemical Romance, followed Way as a comic writer or were an emo kid, mr Way is affecting our lives and we're loving it. Plus dark superhero family? Who doesn't love it?

#tua has only one downside and it's called a fandom #there is a lot of hate #and sure hating someone because they like one character isn't unordinary for tumblr #but season 2 made things much worse for different reasons #like 45% of the fandom being biphobic and/or panphobic #ah and of course the phenomenon of hating someone because they *don't* like a character

I just finished season 2 of the Umbrella Academy today and i loved it a lot , i think it was a lot better than previous season for plenty of reasons , what's your opinion?

Thanks for the ask! I have so many thoughts on Season 2 but haven’t had the will to put ‘em all down yet, so I guess this is the prompt I needed @castiel-saved-me-from-myself. I will continue with my TUA reviews though, of which I’ve only done 1x01, and do them for season 2 as well!

I also loved Season 2, Maria! The acting, cinematography, music, plot-lines and over-all vibe was absolutely stunning, and very high quality, just like season 1! It was definitely better in some aspects, but in others it failed. The siblings were much more sibling-like when they interacted, which makes sense as they all began to bond again in season 1. That scene with Vanya, Klaus & Allison in the salon? AMAZING! Five (and Aidan Gallagher) was the absolute star of the show this season - all his storylines in the new season were clever and well-written, Aidan’s acting was even more phenomenal, and we really got to see Five openly caring about his siblings - just look at how soft he is with Vanya!

However, Klaus was a done a massive disservice, relegated back to the ‘useless junkie’, with not even Diego giving him the benefit of the doubt like last season. He was pushed to side which I understand to a degree, but he felt massively ignored for the majority of the season, and was treated like crap by practically everyone, especially Ben. And can I just say how much I HATE BEN THIS SEASON? Yes, I know he’s people’s fave and I respect that, though he’s never been mine. Season 1 Ben was funny, and sweet, and even though there was the occasional asshole moment, that’s siblings, and Klaus would obviously get on his nerves at some points. But season 2 Ben was just a massive asshole, complaining and bitching all the time, telling Klaus “Nobody needs you’re shit. That’s why you’re always alone!” which, just...WHAT THE FUCK?! Not acceptable! Also, the consent issues with possession and all that stuff with Jill etc. I was not a fan of Ben this season. The bit with Vanya redeemed him slightly, but he was my least favourite sib this season I’m afaraid.

But honestly, apart from the issues above, I felt like this season was really strong! All the sibs had brilliant moments, solo, with the new supporting characters and with each other. Raymond was AMAZING, and Sissy, Harlan and Lila were damned good supporting characters! The plot, and various side-stories, were well-thought out and written, the acting was again amazing, and there were so many twists and turns, dramatic moments and heartfelt moments that I loved it. Though I am still mighty unhappy with how Klaus was ignored and the character of Ben was written to be a complete asshole this season. But apart from that, a great season!

They have a really interesting dynamic. needs to stay away from: Reginald, THE HANDLER, the Commission. misc. thoughts: Five is the best, most well thought out character in TUA. Aidan Gallagher just does such a phenomenal job portraying him, and I have a lot of fun writing from his POV. I think it’ll be really telling how they end his story - Five is an inherently tragic character, so there’s only a few ways his arc can go, so we’ll see.

Leonard. Sissy. Luther in S1. Loud noises lmao. misc. thoughts: vanya’s personality is very difficult for me, mostly because the show doesn’t really… give her one? I mean, she’s suppressed by pills in s1, then s2 she has amnesia for most of the season, so really it’s a fan’s interpretation. I also feel like a lot of interpretations of her ignore her faults, so I love when people write her multidimensional in fics!

I’ve been a huge fan of the comics for about 6 years and I’ve reread them multiple times so I knew a lot about the world and already cared about the characters.

I think Netflix did an AMAZING job. They just added so much to the world and fleshed everything out and created such complex and intricate characters that it still blows my mind. All of the acting was TOP KNOTCH (I’ll never shut up about Aidan Gallagher, he’s REALLY a 58 year old man in a 14yo body right?!) and just…wow. They seamlessly blended volumes 1 and 2 and it was just…astoundingly amazing.

I also am so happy the brought Ben into the show more because the comic fans always crave more information about him and we’ve gotten like 3 scenes EVER with him involved. So kudos showrunners and writers!

The notes I took while reading the comics are under the cut. These are not my ordered thoughts, just thoughts I had while reading. I’ll write something more coherent a bit later, once my thoughts are sorted better than these

APOCALYPSE SUITE

Diego repeatedly stabbed a Caravaggio, which just personally offends me. Also @ Reginald the fact that you left a Caravaggio in reach of your KIDS, who have KNIVES, is just as insulting. Someone save that Caravaggio since anything and anyone else is beyond saving

“Inexplicable resemblance to an Ingmar Bergmann extra” askjdsgbkdsbhsd Gerard sir that is so oddly specific. Is Reginald an Ingmar Bergman fan. Is that what you’re trying to tell us. Or is Klaus just a silent movie type

Right off the bat, the comics universe is so much more interesting than the show universe. They have boxers who beat up squids like??? Give us an adaptation with the comic world, preferably animated

Also just genuinely interesting that Five truly hated Reginald and was aware of these feelings

The apocalypse introductions in the show and the comic are going for different feelings but they are both equally devastating, which is a nice touch

I love the Conductor’s design so much, and his introduction is so good
