Drew Pubby some more! Oh yeah his name? It was the dogs name… the owner was too young to realize that there was something terribly wrong with her pet, and made the mistake of “naming” it. Played with it… it was only once the adults got involved that she realized something was off.
So not only does he steal skin, he steals names now too.
But that all was years ago. He still follows the owner from a distance, leading him to fresh pray. She deems to be aware of his presence, maybe that’s why she’s so distant from others? She’s trying to isolate herself. She’s trying to STARVE him.

Learning the Hard Way
Note to self: don't poach from witches trees! As the cervitaur and fairy felt their tummies filling with sloshing vomit, they realized the delicious fruit must have been charmed. Anybody who ate the fruits would get uncontrollably, miserably sick. Too late now though....they're already starting to spew!

Silly thought:
Horde of kobolds all decide you're their dragon now, even though you're clearly not a dragon.
They assure you you just gotta eat like a dragon, you'll look the part in no time.
Instead, you just end up a helpless pile of blubber that they insist needs more, laying atop a "dragon's horde" of random shinies they bring in addition to all the food they keep stuffing you with.
They tell you not to worry, they'll get you up to size, and then they'll be your obedient little servants, just gotta look the part first... You and their leader both know that's never gonna happen, but the other kobolds don't know nor care.

Just realised the game is about asks! Ooh do tell me something about "Into the Wilds".
A WIP that is currently in the outline stage, Into the Wilds is an original work that has actually been in my head since I was about 17. Tried writing it once but thank god never finished the first attempt bc it was the clumsy writing of a late teen-early twenty-something whose craft thankfully has improved over time and now I'm hoping to finally slowly tackle it for real.
The major premise is that in a fantasy world where magic and mages are so commonplace that it's rare to even enter a small village without at least a hefty handful of them, there exists a demographic of people called Memoriams. Essentially, they are people who can see a person's entire life's worth of memories via a single touch. They are a minority even in a world thick with magic and their abilities are not well understood by the populace. They're sort of a whole different branch of magic on their own but bc of their abilities they are disbarred from positions of power and pretty much live like monks, tending to operate as historians and scholars and given a wide berth on the rare occasions they leave their sanctuaries.
The protagonist, Serinda Belwyn, is one of these Memoriams, one of the rare few who came into her abilities as a rather young child as opposed to realizing them during puberty as most do. She is also seeking her missing mentor at the same time as a scourge known as the arcane plague seems to be making its return, a subject on which said mentor was as much of an expert as could be. As his trail leaves into an ancient, untamed territory full of ruins, curses, wild dragons, and secrets known only as The Wilds, Serinda finds her goals aligned with an emissary of the crown, Donovan, assigned to seek an ancient relic that could hold the key to curing the arcane plague that once decimated the region's mage population. When tragedy befalls their expedition, leaving just the two of them to brave the Wilds they have to learn to rely on each other to survive, all the while stumbling across mysteries that suggest a great deal of what they know about their world is in fact built on lies.
So yeah, that's the conceit of what I hope to make a fun high fantasy adventure, maybe even turn into a series (hopefully anyway) one day. Serinda might not be the most "likable" protagonist, being argumentative, prickly, and distrusting, but she's also brave, clever, and resilient with a dogged determination and a scholar's curiosity. Meanwhile, Donovan is soft-spoken but charismatic with a talent for diplomacy and negotiation. He is also a mage, though of somewhat limited ability, with his own share of secrets.

Way out there
Warning: mention of blood and dead animal (hunt)
(Picture not mine found it on Pinterest)
Tumblr media
"What's out there?"
The man slowly perched up at the quiet voice that just spoke along the the chants of the river beside him. He looked down at the small girl as her gaze was far ahead of her, towards the mountains of eternal cold, instead of the water that she was playing with just a few moments ago. She was in deep thoughts. He could tell by the way she was so focused on the view head, as if all the things around her didn't matter anymore. From day one, she was a mystery to him, she never acted like a normal child. Normally, a child is noisy and loud, always wants attention and can't live without help. They were annoying and helpless. At least that's what he thought of them. But she was never like that. Since the day he was tasked to care for her as his own, he never saw those traits on her. Always stayed on the quiet side, rare were the times he heard her cry or complain. Hes sure he can count them on one hand. It's in those moments where he wonder where she came from. She was quick on learning new things, was able to keep up with him during hunting and had showed great potential in battle but also in special abilities, but she was still to young to confirm. He sighs deeply as he repositioned himself on the rock he was sitting on before returning his gaze down on the animal he had hunted and carefully continued pilling off its fur with his knife.
"Mountains."
His deep hoarse voice pierced through all the sounds around them. Making it stand out. It was a simple answer, clear and to the point. Just like him. He wasn't a big talker, usually tends to communicate his intentions and emotions through the bond he shared with her. And now all he wanted was some peace and quiet for the rest of the evening. But unfortunately for him, his (he dare say) daughter was in a talkatif mood. Which would happen every blue moon if the stars were aligned. Slowly she got up from her sitting position on the grass to stand as if she was trying to see further in the distance. He watched her from the corner of his deep eyes and immediately noticed the that the old clothing she was wearing, if you could even call it that, was getting way passed its time. No it looked more like an old rag than a oversized shirt. With all the stitches and patches to hold the fabric together someone could mistake it for a poor attempt of a potato bag. He mentally told himself that he would have to go get some fresh clothes for her instead of the old potatoe bag that reaches her knees and the small fabric that vaguely resembles of shorts. She slowly turned to face him. The sudden movement made him look up to her. Bright blue eyes meet his deep oranges ones.
"What's beyond those mountains?"
Slightly taking aback by the question, he momentarily stop his smooth motion with the knife before resuming what he was doing. The young girl turn to look back at the mountains. Giving him a good view of her wings. They were still growing, the slightly grey feathers told him so, but some of her feathers has started to take a deep black color which meant that in a few years or so he would have to teach her how to fly. He pushed aside that small realization to refocus on the question he was asked. He looked back at his handiwork before he flopped down on the ground to wash off the blood on fur in the crystal clear water that was now leaving trails of red in the river.
"A world."
He didn't looked up at her this time. But he could feel through the bond that she wanted to know more. Sighing deeply, he quickly finish cleaning the fur before throwing it over his built shoulder. He grabbed the bag that was resting against the rock he was previously sitting on to put their soon to be dinner in it. He looked back at the girl as he got up ready to leave. She was still looking head of her. The gentle breeze made her black hair move in its passing.
"Can we go there?"
This time, it was him who had fallen in deep thoughts. He knew she was to young to go yet. If she did, she would get killed immediately. They were people out there that are after her. They all seek the same from her, her powers that had yet to shine. He thought it was ridiculous that people would go after a child for power, some were really desperate or really afraid... Either way, it didn't matter to him, he would protect this child as long as he can. Just like he promised all those years ago when she was entrusted to him. He did thought about the irony of the situation when she was given to him. Him a demon. A demon was entrusted to keep a child safe. Ironic isn't it? But she wasn't just any child, he could tell by her energy signature, she was...something. Something he never saw during his life. It didn't matter... At least not now...He looked a head of him towards the mountains.
"Not yet,"
Stretching his dark bat like wings before relaxing his posture, he grabbed his dark cloak and silently put it on (now covering his wings) before swinging the bag over his shoulder and started to walk away, signaling that the conversation was over. But little did he know she was not done yet.
Her bare feet would gently land on the grass, leaving a small trail behind her. From the lack of noise she was making he could mistake her for an animal passing by. The complete opposite of the strong sound of his boots hitting the ground with every step he took. She was silently following beside him as she look towards the forest before letting out a huff and turn in his direction again.
"Why not?"
Letting out a deep sigh that seems to come out from the pit of his lungs. He stops and look down at her. His orange eyes pursing hers making his stare look darker than it was. He flashed a warning glance at her. He was in no mood to talk, he made it shown, but that didn't seem to stop her as she looks up at him with the same neutral face she seemed to have grown up with.
They stared at each other for what seem to be more than a minute before he sighs in defeat and relax his stands.
"It's dangerous out there, your not ready to go yet"
He calmly explained as shift the bag more comfortably over his shoulders. His daughter kept looking at him with a curious gaze, urging him to continue.
Knowing that he could no longer avoid the conversation, he sighs as he slowly drop to his knees to be at eye level with the girl. She look at him expectantly, he saw an eagerness in her eyes that he was use to see when she had a goal in mind. He placed the bag on the soft grass below him before putting his hands on the shoulders of the young one. He look at her blue eyes that seem to slightly change to green, uncertain. Slightly frowning, he slowly drift his gaze at the mountains. He could see the clouds slowly drift by, letting the blue of the sky peek between them. Birds were minding their own as they fly free with wind. He look back at his daughter, seeing this serene stare that always reminded him of...her... He took a deep breath before starting.
"As peaceful this world may look like out there, the people that lives in it are not."
He slightly grip her shoulders, wanting her to understand what he was telling her. He knew she was too young, he knew she was going to try and go out there. That's what curious minds do. That's what gets them killed. That's what got her killed. He spoke with weight on his shoulders as memories rush back to him. He doesn't want her to end up like...her...
"Which is why you need to be ready before going out there."
The demon observed his daughter with a seriousness that the girl knew all to well.
"When you will be ready, we will go."
Letting go of her shoulders, he grabs the bag off of the floor and put it back on his shoulder before standing back up. With that, he turns and continue to walk home.
The small girl understood very well what he meant, without understanding the experience. She already knew, but she needed to hear it from him. She followed close beside him, walking closer to the edge of the forest together. She reaches out for his hand, searching for deep down comfort that they will make it together and that they both will be there for one another.
Almost immediately he returned the gesture. They both send comfort through the bond they shared. This moments made him remembered the very first time they met. It made him remembered why he was still here, why he was still fighting. That day just like this one, he swore to protect her until the very end like the daughter he never got to have.
Whatever it be here or way out there, he will be there to protect her.

The last bride
This could possibly be a short story, maybe less, maybe more, we will see how it goes!
A lone dragon sat in wait. He had meticulously placed dead and broken trees in a perfect circle and set them a light in hopes of attracting himself a lifelong partner. But his hope was beginning to dim. It had been 4 whole weeks since he had sent out his message. His calls had been left unanswered and echoed off the snowy mountains... had he done it all wrong? He had practiced for years, spending weeks searching far and wide for a place one could comfortably nest and spent all his time preparing the new home he hoped to spend the rest of his life with his partner and offspring... was is all for nothing?
He sniffs the air, his hot breath leaves a plume of smoke in the wind. He was growing frustrated, agitated, even a little concerned... surely someone was in the area... whether female, male, or something completely new, he knew somebody- someone had to be around to see or hear his message! Or so he hoped.
He hesitated at the thought of leaving his spot. What if someone came while he was gone? Then again, what if he had somehow reached a place too far for anyone to get his message? His curiosity had gotten the better of him. And he spreads his wings, making the curtain of smoke part before he took off into the clear blue sky. His skin and underside matched the color almost seamlessly, along with his white fur that resembled the white clouds.
He circles around the mountains, the forests, over the rivers and around the caves. But soon enough circles back to his spot, everything was clear, there was no denying that his message was clear enough to see even beyond the mountains. So why was he still all alone? He decided to repeat the cycle. Again, and again, and again, for days on end. He even had to find new trees to use as material, and still, no answer, no call, nothing.
This went on for weeks... and the dragon grew hungry and tired. His lack of sleep and food made him cranky and desperate, but the lack of company was mainly responsible for his agitation... he eventually decided that food was a priority this time instead of relighting his message. He stood himself up and turned to face the forest - only to be met with a strangers face. Joy surged though the dragons mind for a mere moment before dissatisfaction ruined the moment, he watched the fear and realization hit the stranger as soon as they made eye contact.
A human of all creatures had stumbled across his display. They must have traveled far to get here, as the dragon hadn't seen any human structures for miles. The humans' hot breath plumed into smoke as they took a few steps back but never ran. This got the dragon curious. He lowered his head yet stood where he was. "Speak, visitor..."
The human shivered, and they opened their mouth, but no words came. Their mouth had run dry, and they suddenly had a cold sweat. "-...- I came to investigate... my apologies, I never meant to intrude on your home-
"It is no home, not yet." The dragon quickly corrects the soft-spoken human. He made a slow approach towards the human, keeping just enough distance to if it were an ambush of some kind. "What did you come to investigate?" He asks in a softer voice.
The human spreads their arms and motions to the dragon and display. "Well... this, I could see it from behind the mountains, and I was worried it could have been a distress call-
"So my message was visible from beyond the mountains?" The dragon interrupts once more with a deeper frown, to which the human nods,"if you do mind me asking... was this a call of... distress?"
"Hardly!" The dragon replies with a snarl, but his mind had doubts, he hadn't had the heart to admit his desperation. "A-ah! I see - so um, if you don't mind me asking, what was the purpose of all this?" The human spoke in an even quieter voice than before.
The dragon would have been offended if it weren't for his awareness of his surroundings, ashes, charcoal, and dying flames littered the plain he once wished to call home, all his grind ideas of joyus offspring and favorable mate had burned with the rest of his surroundings. "It was meant to attract a partner... but I haven't had an answer in weeks. You are the first to come to my den." He admits with a bittersweet tone.
The human nods slowly "to be... perfectly honest with you, mister- uh- dragon, I think your breed might have gone... extinct..." they try to make themselves as small as possible.
The dragon looks back at the human, steam began rising out the corners of his mouth as he quickly shortened the distance between himself and the human, blowing steam into the humans face as he spoke with rage. "How dare you! I am not extinct! I am not! I can't be!" He raises himself away from the human in frustration."There has to be someone out there - anyone, it can't be, I shall not believe such nonsense!" He huffs, looking up into the sky, what if the human was right? What if he truly was the last of his race? There was no doubt that dragons were still around, but it wasn't uncommon for a race to die out.
No, this couldn't be, he would have been known about it, he would have heard about this! He looks down at the human. Who just stood there. Shaking in their furry boots. "... well if that is the case, than I have no choice than to accept my first bride"
The human blinks and looks around,"who? Me?? No- wait were two completely different species, we can't court!" "Why not? Are you already wed?" The dragon sniffs the human."You haven't even been marked by your mate"
"I have no mate!" Explains the human in a panic while they took yet another step back from the larger dragon, the dragon in turn leaned back down "well then I see no trouble as having you as mine"
"I-" the human sighs in defeat, they could reject the dragon, they are loyal to their word, however, the human was worried what might happen if the dragon got upset at their answer... besides, the human was a rather lonely one themselves. Maybe they would finally have a place to call their own? Someone who would respect and eventually fall in love with this human? It wouldn't be impossible... "Very well... uh- I do just have one last question, two actually"
"Ask" the dragon huffs out some more steam, looking a little more relaxed and laying themselves down. "What is your name?" "Is it not custom to introduce yourself first?" The dragon chuckles "ah- I didn't mean to-" "Zero, the name is Zero..."
The human blinks, what an odd name... even for a dragon, the definition being nothing, zero, less then one. "And yours is?" "A-ah, im Silver..."
"Silver?" Zero leans himself a little closer to his new companion, observing them carefully to take in all their features. He found it odd that a human would have the name of a precious metal, but it wasn't a bad name, and the human looked decent.

Masquerade Ball - Chapter 1
I know, it's not perfect but I tried my best. My first language isn't English so maybe I don't know, how to explain all the things and feelings perfectly.
But here it is. Enjoy!
It's a cold, starry night. Moon is shining bright. You can count all the stars in the sky.
The most perfect night what could ever be, only it's cold. But you like it. You can feel cold wind on your skin and see moonlight on your ball gown.
There's a big ball coming up this night. A masquerade ball, hosted by your enemy, the Prince of Light, who haven't done anything bad for you.
He is hosting a big ball and everyone is invited. Everyone, except you. Your family is never invited outsid your kingdom.
And you are the most powerful princess in whole world. The Princess of Danger and Fear. You would make everyone outside the kingdom scared, when they'd see you. That's why you have to hide yourself from everyone outside.
But you didn't want this. You never wanted to be a princess. You never wanted anyone to be scared because you scared them. You wanted to be a normal person. You wanted everyone to be happy.
When you were little your mother used to read you the stories of what everyone in your royal family did.
They destroyed the kingdom. Scared people. Even killed if needed. But your neighbour kingdom, kingdom of Light built the kingdom up. They helped the whole kingdom. Since then, when you heard the story you always secretly liked them.
Once, when you were 13, they visited your palace you saw the Prince and fell in love.
You talked to your Granny, but she said it would never work. She was always on your side. She hated to scare and put people in danger. She loved to help. So did you.
Since then you secretly loved the kingdom of Light and always wanted to visit them. But it was against the family rules. Never visit someone outside the kingdom. It was forbidden.
So this masquerade ball was your chance to finally see him and the kingdom you secretly loved.
But sadly you or you family weren't invited. You heard of the ball from newspapers, from everyone. Everyone was talking about it. You only wanted a chance to be someone else for a day.
So you decided to put on a light coloured mask, a ball gown a lot brighter than usual. Only with a little dark details and went to the ball.
It wasn't so far away so you walked. Everyone seemed to like your dress. Noone had seen so beautiful gown. It was like Yin Yang.
When you stepped to the palace everyone gasped. They liked you from the first sight.
The palace was so light like you've never seen. It was filled with little warm lights.
The women who were close to the door came to you and started asking things like: where did you buy the dress or where did you get the idea of Darkness and Light together.
One of the ladies asked:
"You must be new here? I've never seen someone like this. I can show you around, if you'd like." You agreed to go and went with the nice lady. She introduced herself as the Queen of Light. She wore a light yellow colored gown and a nice tiara. She was like a beautiful white rose.
You were breathless. And suprised because your biggest wish came true. You finally met the royal family.

One of those highschool/coming-of-age stories that starts out as just your typical series about a bunch of teenage friends just hanging out and palling around...but as the series goes on, it’s slowly revealed that all but one of them has some kind of secret identity; one’s secretly a superhero, one a werewolf, one a disguised alien studying life on earth, one the reincarnation of some legendary hero of old, and so on.
So the show goes from ‘typical slice-of-life highschool show’ to juggling like 50 different genres at once as the main characters all keep trying to hide their identities from everyone, including each other, while the one normal guy remains completely oblivious to everything.
