Bramble & Thorn Gryfauns

They go live in my site shop Monday Dec 4th at 12pm EST.

Each gryfaun stands about 16 inches tall. The neck is layered with feathers, sheepskin, and faux fur. The rest of the body is hand sewn high quality faux fur that is very soft. The neck, arms, legs, and tail have a posable plastic ball and socket armature inside that will not wear out over time. The head, hands, and hooves are cast in durable resin from an original sculpt. The antlers are hand sculpted from thermal plastic that will not break when bent.

Mermaids are high complex creatures. An anatomy that seemingly incorporates aspects found in both aquatic mammals and fish. Despite this vast dimorphism, the internal anatomy is largely shared amongst the varying species with some evolutionary adaptations that may be specie specific such as the Labyrinth Organ.

Bestiary log: The term mermaid, despite it’s intrinsic feminine connotation, holds no gender specific marker when discussed or noted. The vast majority of Mermaid, or Merfolk, species have both males and females. Some with obvious sexual dimorphism, others more subtle. However there are species that are hermaphroditic and even fewer that are single gendered, such as Tritons.

This figures are casted in resin from my original sculpted piece and hand painted with acrylic paint by me. Some paint elements glow in UV light. Each coloration is unique and not repeatable.

MunMun is a kind spirit of nature, who collected the features of various animals and elements in it's appearance. It's external features are fickle and gradually change depending on the area where you can meet him.

Rust and Wonder

A Tale of the Underground

Gwen had never seen anything like the rust monster before. The creature was an odd mix of insect and reptile, with a body covered in thick, lumpy armor and a long tail that ended in a bony protrusion. Two feathery antennae sprouted from its insectile head, giving it an almost regal appearance.

But the most striking feature of the rust monster was its ability to consume ferrous metals. Gwen had heard tales of adventurers losing their weapons and armor to these creatures, but she had never imagined just how formidable they could be.

As she watched from a safe distance, Gwen saw the rust monster sniffing the air, searching for its next meal. It moved with an almost graceful gait, its long legs carrying it effortlessly across the rocky terrain. Gwen knew that if it caught her scent, she would be in trouble.

She couldn't help but marvel at the creature's beauty, despite its dangerous reputation. In the dim light of the underground tunnels, the rust monster seemed to glow with an otherworldly radiance.

Gwen's musings were interrupted as the rust monster suddenly dashed off, its antennae twitching with excitement. Gwen followed cautiously, staying far enough back to avoid detection.

As she watched from a hidden alcove, Gwen saw the rust monster come upon a pile of discarded weapons and armor. With a quick sniff, it began to corrode the metal, its powerful jaws crunching down on the rust it created.

Gwen knew that the rust monster was a valuable creature, one that could be tamed and trained with patience and care. She made a mental note to come back later, armed with some ferrous objects to distract the creature and gain its trust.

As she made her way back to the surface, Gwen couldn't help but smile. The rust monster had captured her imagination, and she knew that she would be thinking about it for a long time to come.
