Man, sometimes I remember Heinoustuck. That one spooky Homestuck au where as each kid came to the age that they'd be entering puberty, they were forced to go through gruesome transformations into body horror monsters that were only recognizable as cruel mockeries of themselves.

That sure was a cisgender story, wasn't it. Yep. Definitely a totally cisgender fanventure with a totally cisgender explanation.

It always starts with a circle

Here's a little step by step on how I make my HollowRoom panels. First the all important circle > sketch out the limbs, hair and face > block out the limbs/clothes in a messy way > actually this should be bigger > adjust the pose a little bit > done! Steps four and five are of course optional.

Also, I don't actually bother shading the HollowRoom panels most of the time. This is a solo project so I tend to keep it simple, but every now and again I'll put some extra details and shading in to make it look more dramatic. I've been asked before how I make my own panels and I don't really know how to go about making a guide for that BUT I did find the guide that helped ME back in the day!

My style's a little different, closer to latter day homestuck panels with rounder limbs, but it's still a useful guide I think.
