Hello, love reading your posts and responses and I have one question I haven't seen anyone ask yet (or i might have missed it, in which case I'm sorry :D). Is there any chance that Daniel himself asked for his memories of Armand and their time together to be erased when Alice gets pregnant, so he can attempt to have a life with a wife and children on his own terms? He might've felt that was be the best choice then, bc he knew he couldn't be a good husband/dad AND remember time his with Armand...

I do think there is a (small) chance of that.

It sill depend on how deep “we“ were in the Devil‘s Minion arc before the pregnancy occurred, imho. How… damaged/addicted Daniel was already by/to the prospect of immortality.

The Devil’s Minion is in large points built on need. The state of things would need to be a delicate balance of love and the prospect of hope and not yet the full love Daniel (would feel) felt for Armand for him to ask for an action like this, imho.

I personally think (and I keep recc‘ing here the fic by @cbrownjc and @faerywhimsy who took a wonderful shot at it all!!^^) that “they“ decided that for Daniel. To protect his humanity.

IF Daniel asked for it then he was truly wise^^. I‘m not sure he still thinks of it the same way when/ if he now recovers his memories…

But yes - definitely possible. Though I tend to lean towards involuntary ^^

so we're getting more about the way the nature of hunting has changed. what sam is doing now with his network of hunters is the exact opposite of drinking demon blood because you believe you're the only one who can stop the apocalypse. hunting isn't a revenge bloodsport anymore, it's a noble calling. hunting isn't a "you don't ever want something more?" kind of profession now, it's a way to build community. "my family hunts," sam says, "that's what we do," and never before has it felt so true. this isn't destiny, the grim inevitability that no matter what he does, he will always end up here. this is human connection and care. this is something totally different from any conception of hunting that has ever been advanced in the show before: doing the right thing not because it's your responsibility, not because no one else will, but because it is right.

and then there's charlie, with her exaggerated need to escape from hunting, her promise that she's only going to help out for a short time (until dad's back, until jess is avenged). all the changes in her backstory are there to make her more like sam. we get a lovely moment of humans being the real monsters, we haven't had an episode like that in a while. humans, they killed the girl [s]he loved. a few hundred miles away, jack is learning a similar lesson. he checks for possession and the most common inhuman weakness, but harper would register as fully human to any test; it's her heart that's grotesque, not her body. the musca is pathetic and gets a grace note at the end of the episode. harper is just terrifying. there are two sides to the coin, yockey is saying. human or not, you can be a hero, or you can be a monster. remember that charlie, for all that humans killed her kara, fought for the human resistance until the very end.

charlie's dilemma resonates beyond sam to dean and cas as well. "i am [surprised i survived the apocalypse]," she says, and isn't that the dilemma the show faces every time there's a change of showrunner, the question it has been cycling back to again and again? the world didn't end--now what? now it's no longer sustainable to push yourself towards an endpoint--you just end up chasing death. now you have to envision and build a world that can justly and competently deal with post-apocalyptic problems. you don't hide yourself away on a mountain. you surround yourself with people. you create a society of hunters. you retire to a beach somewhere. you fall in love. we get to see this realization happen to charlie, just as, somewhere along the way, unspoken, unexpectedly, it happened to sam. the man responsible for his friend's death getting a second chance to advise her, to make amends.

Alright so Howling-flames enticed me into making my own Warriors OC!! So Here he is!

This is Broadwhisker, and he's a black(ish) and white tom with broad shoulders and significantly smaller hindquarters, which gave him his warrior prefix. His fur is thick, but very short, and his eyes are a pale yellow; he's not the prettiest of cats, but his forepaws are very strong, and he uses his shoulders as his main battle strategy, hence the scarring (on both sides). His biggest weakness is his misbalanced strength, his smaller hindlegs makes it near impossible for him to swim safely, and it makes him more likely to be overbalanced, if another cat were to land on his shoulders. However his short tail, small ears and short fur are difficult to grab onto, making it much harder for cats to cling to him in battle. ((Out of the Four Original Forest Clans, I would place Broadwhisker in Thunderclan, however this is adjustable depending on what area of the universe he's put into!!)) Broadwhisker always tries his best, he's worked with what he has and trained up to become a highly skilled and efficient warrior. He has a relatively soft personality despite his intimidating size, and tends to avoid picking sides during clan conflict. As a larger and perhaps more passive warrior, he finds it much easier to defend than attack, so he often protects the clan camp, or alternatively leads a counter attack during battle; stepping in to help defend his clan-mates from vicious attackers. Broadwhisker is better at carrying larger loads and helping to rebuild the camp, rather than hunting for his clan - he is often on border patrol instead. Despite his long range vision being significantly weaker than his peers, his ability to 'sense' movement (particularly through the ground, or courtesy of his thick whiskers) around him plays to his advantage.

Billie said there'd be cosmic consequences if the deal was broken. What cosmic consequences have there been? I don't remember them really showing us any. Maybe one was Crowley's control over Lucifer being reversed? My friend has a theory that there will be a rift in the Empty and that's how Cas might come back :)

I’m pretty sure it’s something coming up, it’s not done and dusted yet! I thought this before anyway but now we know Billie is back... it feels like this is the point.

People were so quick to search for a link in s12 or some flat out claimed the writers “forgot” LMAO!!! No. They don’t forget. We just need to be patient and give the writers some credit. This is my pet peeve. Wanting things so immediately that people then claim the writers are crappy. Jeez. Be patient and wait and see, so far it’s been followed through a million times more than it hasn't and Dabb is even harking back to old things to tie them up. Dabb era is not going to create new ones and make a huge deal about them then “forget”.
