From Abundance Farm, in North Hampton MA
A beautiful place with many beautiful shtetlcore and other cultural agriculture moments!
Sign says, “SHHH!!! IT’S SHMITA! This bed is resting!” Then there is drawing of a sleeping flower with שםטה (shmita) being thought by the flower. Under it the sign says “In honor of the values of shmita, the sabbatical year, 1/7 of our farm is always released to “cover crop” for a full year. Cover cropping is when we release our expectations for a food harvest, do not disturb the soil, and encourage plants that will replenish nutrients back into the land.”
