CRINGETOBER 2023!!!!

scene and emo was always the epitome of "i am cringe and i am free" to me, as an outsider. they relished in their exaggerated, bombastic fashion and loud, unapologetic angsty music.

i was always amazed by how someone could be so openly themselves.

These outfits are probably Softcore Scemo, but if I drew too many Kandi bracelets I think my hand would kill me. Ah well. I had lots of fun doing this one! :)

This was the Spotlight shoot for anyone who's newer and hasn't seen it. Yeah that one was good! And here's the Vogue Th one!.

Hmmmm for me it would be XBlush and Journey

I have no clue what happened with XBlush but the whole shoot was like intensely hot and sexy and the multiple behind the scenes videos they released have me gagging. Like??? It's not like they didn't wear sexy clothes in other shoots but??? the energy???

I'm so incredibly not normal about whatever the hell this is and it's been MONTHS. Literally this was one of the first shoots I've seen of them and I'm still not over this.

Like Spotlight, I liked Journey because it was conceptually really cool and visually decadent. I just liked the 1970s HK arthouse film vibes of the Journey shoot more. The only annoying thing about Journey was they never released the photos consistently and it came in like a weird stream so I'm not even 100% sure we got all of them? I regretti missing the group order for this one.

I love all their shoots though. I'm sure I'll eventually have new favorites too! The only one I didn't like was the yellow and purple suits one and even MileApo made fun of that one 😭

I did my first digital art back in 2017 and I discovered the infamous airbrush tool. I was only using that to shade my drawings so I thought it would be fun to revisit that now 6 years later! I also tried to not use any blending mode but I flinched at the end. Anyway, I am pretty please with how this one looks!

Little fun fact: I got my inspiration from an electronic billboard from which 90% of the ads look like the "Graphic design is my passion" meme
