I unintentionally made this a lot softer than planned but that's just the kind of effect he has on me...
"Mongrel."
The king addressed you directly, his usual grin plastered across his face as he lazily sat on his throne, the very silhouette of it casting a long and dark shadow across the throne room, a shadow you'd often find yourself hiding in. Gilgamesh knew this and he would never allow you to stay in it for too long.
"Step out into the light."
Ah there it was, the inevitable request that always forced you out of your comfort zone. Why couldn't your king leave you be? The war council had finished ages ago and it was the time to rest - why was he denying you this? Just as you were about to voice your opinion out loud Gilgamesh stopped you before you could even utter a single word.
"That was not a request, cease this ludicrous behavior and stop hiding from me."
He was ordering you now? Well shit, you really must have pissed him off but you could not figure out how for the life of you. With your shoulders slumped you kept your head low, a sign that you were listening as you approached him and kneeled. Instead of him reprimanding you he started to laugh in amusement as he looked down at you, his red eyes positivity gleaming like the rarest of rubies. The sun shined high above him, making him look more like a god if anything else.
"I do not understand what his highness finds so entertaining but I do wonder if you've caught a heat stroke of sorts." you chided as you desperately tried to hide the confusion in your voice.
"It's your attitude, my little mongrel. Is a King not allowed to look at his subject without question?"
"With all do respect Your Highness but you never do anything without a reason."
Another chuckle from him, another sigh from you.
"The sun burns high up in the sky and it's more humid than usual. Please do not exert yourself too much, my King."
My heart burns brighter than the sun itself, Gilgamesh thought to himself.
He liked it when you called him that, your King. Hearing those words come out of your mouth felt like a breeze on a hot summer day, something that soothed him immensely. The man was displeased with how often you hid yourself, anger bubbling in his chest at the thought that he couldn't see you as much as he wanted you. The end of the world was near, it's natural that he wishes to see the things he loves for one last time.
You didn't need to know that, of course. If you knew just how much he favored you there was a strong possibility that it would go to your head. Therefore, King Gilgamesh did whatever he could, and however he could, to keep you by his side as much as humanly possible.
Even as the world burns and the stars from the sky threaten to fall, his affections would follow until the bitter end of time.
You walk through the dark streets as a familiar voice rings in your ear as you gasps. It's been ten years since you heard from him and actually shouldn't anymore...
Gilgamesh: “Well, well… what do we have here ? It’s been some time…. Ten years are an awfully long time, aren’t they, ….Y/N?”
You: “Gilgamesh… Yes, a few years has passed and you are still here.” You step a few steps back but Gilgamesh walks out of the darkness towards you.
Gil: “No need to be afraid. Ahhh~ the time has formed you into a beautiful woman….It seems you haven’t called a servant yet…. That’s dangerous N/N… what a coincidence , we meet here…”
You: “Oh? Are you tired of Kotomine Kirei, King of Heroes?”
His face held a surprised one and he begins to laugh uncontrollably.
Gil: “Not Bad … You were never the stupid one. How about it? We two can win this war… weren’t you wishing back then that we fought together as a team?”
You: “ Yeah,… before I knew you betrayed your first master. How should I trust …you..?”
Gil: “Trust me..? You need to earn that!
Entertain me well and I stick at your side…”
He corners you on the wall as he gets closer. You hold his gaze, knowing what he wants.
You: "Who do you think I am ?" You push him away annoyed. "I am not your possession which you play with as long it keeps you entertained. Find another one!"
You turn around and walk away angry.
Gilgamesh closes his eyes with a smirk.
"How boring would it be if you just had said 'Yes'."
He opens again his red orbs as they follow your form to disappear in the dark.
