Hey lovely souls ^^

I'm not really a fan of Christmas (especially considering what is happening in the world at the moment). I wasn't raised with the spirit. My mom hated it because of childhood stuff, so we spent most of our Christmases traveling (which was very cool ^^). Also, I am not Christian, so it doesn't hold any religious significance for me.

Sure, I enjoy the beautiful decorations in the streets and the act of bringing joy by giving presents to people we love. I feel closer to the pagan origin of that holiday in that regard.

But I also understand that for many people around me (and in the world), Christmas is very important because it brings a glimmer of joy and love into their otherwise mundane days. Without it, they would be at their lowest. So, in my opinion, it is important (almost a duty, if you think about it) for the people I love to share the Christmas spirit with them, to show them how much I appreciate them being well, being alive, just being.

So when my sister @valkblue tagged me in this, it took me a moment to consider it, but in the end, I chose to do it to show her my love and for all the people who need it.

Well as far as first look, I don’t really like the color scheme but I do love the gifs in the sidebar! They’re done very well. The plot is alright, I’m not exactly sure as to how that would play out. Or why you wouldn’t want to sign the book..but that may just be me. Also, you can fill that last link spot with archive, so it looks better! I wish you all luck and all the best with this.

An OC: Zak ; And a not OC: Aragorn

Oooh thank you for these!!!!

For Aragorn — (I'll stick to movie!Aragorn for this one, because I really like Viggo's interpretation. He's perfect in the role, in my opinion. And also, movie!Aragorn is really not that far from book!Aragorn.)

My favorite line

I have a lot I like very much but, to answer this question, it'd be a tie between "U-chebin estel anim" (I keep no hope for myself) to Elrond and "What says you?!" while crossing the Paths of the Dead. For the first, in the book, it's Gilraen (Aragorn's mother) who says this line, and in the movie they gave it to Aragorn in response to Elrond (saying the first part of Gilraen's OG quote). And even though I think it's more impactful from Gilraen (for various deep lore reasons), I also like what it says about Aragorn in the movie; throughout all the trilogy (and the books too!), he's pushing people towards hope, to regain it or just not loose it, to keep fighting and be strong, that there is always hope! He is always encouraging and inspiring people around but fears the worst from himself because like he said, Isildur's blood courses through his veins, the same weakness… and he fears that he will be no better than his ancestors in face of the same evils, and that he'll inevitably be a terrible king for it.

And the second would be almost for the same reasons; he still doubt himself, but he's resolute, he accepted the role he has to play in those terrible events, to stop Sauron and the rising of evil. And to be king of Men, should he survive.

Also, this scene is super badass and the specter's laugh at Aragorn's despair equally creepy and efficient...!! 😱💖

My favorite moment

Honestly, I really like the scene in which we see him for the first time; that gaze in the dark (with ominous voiceover) and how he grabs Frodo and takes him to 'safety' in another room after the incident with the Ring.

My favorite strength

He's humble. Truly humble. He has no problem trusting a Hobbit with the Fate of all life in his tiny pocket because he trusts Gandalf's judgement about him and his quest, and later on, he can say for himself that it wasn't unwaranted. He accepts criticism and even insults, and draw something to better himself out of it. Nothing is wasted on him; no comment, no opinion given, no time, no resources, no effort, no trust, not even hope!

My favorite weakness

He doubts, a lot. But in a good kind of way! The kind that makes him reconsider anything from strategies to 'simple' decisions, the kind that makes him rely on his allies' abilities and knowledge… and that makes him a good king.

My favorite personal headcanon

He would have wanted to try some of that salted pork from Saruman's pantry too… 👀

For Zak —

My favorite line

"The Law!!" 😱… because he's very lawful, sort of. He had so much trouble with the Law that he's wary of it now. He desperately tried to stay out of trouble but trouble keeps on finding him anyway, it seems.

My favorite moment

That time he fought alongside Sara, and she unleashed her fire elemental. When she looked cornered and about to be killed, he jumped from the roof of the stables to rush and save her. He failed miserably… but she didn't need saving at the moment. After that terrible battle when she was left alone to fight her own mind however… 😔 So he helped her the best he could.

My favorite strength

Trustworthy. Anything you say to him is kept secret forever, and you can ask him for almost everything… even messing with the Law a little!! 😱

My favorite weakness

He has no poker face whatsoever. He's an open book and in his secondary line of work (a.k.a messing with the Law!!!) , it's an almost unforgivable weakness.

My favorite personal headcanon

He makes up lyrics to go along with Sara's music in his head. 👀💕

"My parents? My sister? My grandparents? Take your pick...They're on the mainland, I'm here on the island working around the clock and even when I take a leave, it feels like wasted time. So... I call sometimes, I send news if they don't pick up when I can get to the comm room. They answer some platitudes and we go on with our lives until next time. I guess they don't even notice I'm not around. And my friends are almost as busy with their job or far away as I am, so you get the picture."

For Altair —

🌟 - A Different Family Member

"I have two big sisters that I love very much. They both took quite an important part in my upbringing even though my mother had all the time she needed to raise us. They have family of their own now, and I hope to see them all again as we come back to Carelie some day soon."

For Elara —

🍜 - Someone who’s A Great Cook

"My mom made the best pastries in the galaxy. Sorry-not-sorry, Coruscant! I mean... yours are good but not that good, hu. Corrie folks always talk big but, honestly? Not much to see there in the end. Unpopular opinion, I know. I won't tell it too loud though. Anyways... I worked in a cantina for some time too, back on Barjuun, and the cook there was very good! Learned a great deal from him too. Oh, and also, I met Norvuu on the Bold Sister, the ship's mechanic, and he sure is on the top list as well, let me tell you that! He was workin' some kind of magic with the little ingredients he had on hand!"

For Vespera —

🌷- Their Mother 👋 - A Friend

"I don't see my mother often. She travels, she's busy… We call each other sometimes. Well… not these days, because of my—ahem—current job, but usually we do. I had no time to warn her I'd be away for some time before leaving and… I kinda regret it. As for my friends, well… Same thing. And now, there is this guy, Rico, he's kind of an unlikely colleague… and friend even. But I can't tell more at that time."

Ooh, that's a great one!!! 👀 And it's even funnier because a lot of my OCs and other characters eat soups or some form of it at some point in all my stories.

Elbaran —

Ulrik: Mongolian beef soup... 🤤

Leona: Bouillon or Scotch broth.

Ash: my very own and beloved Salmon Soup!! 😭👍💖

Juliva: Lentil soup, with cured ham.

Zak: Lamb or chicken chorba. (My grand mother used to make a delicious one) But now that he has gone native in the Fiefdom of Mountains, I'd say borscht!

Altair: Espinacas con garbanzos, with a lot of almonds. Like, a LOT-lot! (And now I want one. Thanks, Lito...)

Fates —

Vespera: something veggie (pumpkin, carott, squash...) with a hint of watercress, added with parmesan and crispy bacon chips

Westworld —

Vivian: ... microwaved macaroni?? Nah, ok, um... cream of mushroom with peanuts. (and she'll let the dog lick the empty bowl)

Josela: I'd like to say 'the nicotine water' (@hathorik ...👀) but... naaaaah, I think she'd be something hearty like potato and maybe some cream, with slice of cornbread to dip in it and salted pork on the side.

Zeke: ... whisky soup. (BRUH!!!)

Elara: Miso soup, with a fuckton of seaweed, and random fishes or shrimps in it!

Jox: Bouillabaisse. (and as a Mediterranean/person born and raised in south of France, I have to say that I completely disagree on this one! 😅)

😅 What’s a story or scene you’ve created that you’re a smidge embarrassed exists?

I don't have a lot of these now but when I was very little, I wrote some weird crossover about all my favourite shows… where everything was about horses!! 🙃

I still write stories about horses though! Way less than in this particular one, thankfully, and they make sense now. And it's plot relevant too. I hope so…

🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?

I don't think I can choose just one. I love writing a lot of my characters for a lot of very different reasons but, those who are either a real challenge or are the most vivid in my mind (or both!!) would be Vivian, Josela, Elara, Ash and Ulrik.

With them, it's like not having any say in what you write! I'm just the hands tipping on the keyboard while they go feral…

And for canon characters, it would be Din and Lawrence. 💖
