Femslash February 24 - Winter
Lenara x Margo
Margo had a solution that would make descent to Mars infinitely easier. It was finally time for her monthly meeting with Lenara Catiche. She hated the eagerness she was feeling to bring it to her. She felt like she did when she was a girl trying to impress her father. But this had to be how she negotiated her way out of this strange exile and into Star City.
She was so busy with constructing her arguments as she rushed toward the Administration Building that she completely forgot to look where she was stepping. She hit a patch of ice on the entryway steps and shit she was falling.
*
She woke up in the infirmary, Lenara staring down at her. Her entire body ached, her head especially. She ran her tongue along her teeth, relived that they all seemed to still be in her mouth. Lenara placed a soft hand on Margo’s face. “Margo, you had a fall.”
“Yeah,” she gritted out.
“Nothing is broken, but you will be bruised and we had to put some stitches in your forehead.”
Margo sat up quickly and ignored the dizziness. “Where are my notes?”
“Security picked them up when you fell. They are very good, but we’ll take it from here.”
“What? No. You will need my help.”
Lenara’s hand returned to Margo’s face thumb tracing her cheekbone. And shit, that hurt. She was going to have a black eye, she suspected. “Margo. We’ve been over this. You cannot be a visible part of this program. The Americans think you’re dead.”
Between the pain and her frustration, Margo felt tears gathering in her eyes. “That doesn’t mean I can’t - “
“Yes, it does,” Lenara said firmly. She brought her hand to Margo’s thigh. “Go home. Put some ice on your face. Rest. I will see you next month.” She gave Margo’s thigh a squeeze.
“Lenara, no! Nyet!”
Lenara ignored her and Margo swallowed a frustrated scream.

Vera info and propergander:
eldest rostov sibling (debatable but tolstoy's timeline is fucked up so I choose to believe she was older than nikolai)
i'm sure vera's been nominated before but i am doing it again simply because i /have/ to do the vera propaganda i know her better than tolstoy she is my oc. if vera loses you all hate women. she is the oldest sister. she has mommy issues. she has been overlooked and neglected her entire life in favor of her siblings, her mother hate sher and mocks her in front of all her friends and father barely acknowledges his daughter that he actually likes during the entire book, much less vera. her siblings hate her and call her names because she won't let them make fun of her and go through her stuff i guess, and on top of that she had to see their cousin move in and immediately be accepted and loved by them while she was ostracized her entire life for no reason other than they were kids who listened to whatever their mother told them and their mother didn't like vera. she is a repressed socialite the second she gets married and gets the hell out of that house she starts throwing soirees and tells her husband "sweetie don't say anything just kinda stand there let me do all the talking". also has the only successful marriage in the entire book. don't listen to tolstoy when he says they hated each other he doesn't know anything he thinks that's just what normal couples were like. vote vera for president. i do not care who she's up against i literally cannot imagine any character who could possibly deserve to be voted over vera. one vote for vera = one eldest sister gets therapy. be the change you want to see in the world. amen.
Catiche info and propergander by MOI:
Pierre's and Vasily's cousin, the eldest princess.
SHE is the silliest bestest minor character she steals the entire book well she steals the beginning of the book its not her fault that she gets ignored for the rest of the book im sure shes busy knitting something really amazing. shes A FAILGIRL we LOVE failgirls she participiates in an evil scheme and is SHIT at it. she doesnt understand it at ALL. vasily has to basically explain the scheme with a powerpoint while shes too busy lamenting the horrible unfair world we live in. shes right! shes so right! she had it out with anna m over the stupid letter in front of the stupid dying man's door she has NO SHAME. she has a LONG WAIST and DOLL HAIR and shes a BITCH. she manipulated pierre by just CRYING A LITTLE. she has a little dog! SHE KNIT PIERRE A STRIPED SCARF!

Recently, I’ve been down some fascinating research and experimenting rabbit holes with father Catich’s wonderful book »The Origin Of The Serif«, a must-read for understanding the Latin alphabet and its history a bit better and more in depth. The archaic monoline Roman Capitals that are still very close to its Graeco-Phoenician-Etruscan predecessors are such a joy to write with a glass pen and some watercolors! Tried my hand also on Roman Cursive Minuscules based on Gottfried Pott’s (#gottfriedpott) and @julien_chazal’s versions. #calligraphy #kalligrafie #kalligraphie #caligrafia #caligrafía #calligraphie #archaiclatin #romancapitals #romanmonoline #romancursive #fathercatich #originoftheserif #lettering #typographyrelated #watercolors #aquarellfarbe #aquarellfarben #schmincke #horadam #horadamaquarell #calligraphypractice #letterlove #handwriting #handschrift #flourishforum #federflugcalligraphy https://www.instagram.com/p/CTKv-pWDzjm/?utm_medium=tumblr

This is the Roman Capital exemplar that I made for my workshops, it is based on Father Catich methodology and interpretation of how the letterforms on Trajan column inscriptions were designed. #romancapitals #calligraphy #typedesign https://www.instagram.com/p/CL90Qpmh2-O/?igshid=13tjnbuc81kqr
