This could easily apply to JK Rowling and Graham Linehan too.
I remember the reason Graham’s wife left him wasn’t so much that she disagreed with his political views (she’s gender critical, iirc), but that he was making 100 to 200 tweets about it *per day* and it became his absolute obsession in life.
“Honey, did you take out the bins?”
“Not now, the world needs my 5,782nd tweet about public bathrooms.”
It would get exhausting.

Who is the Mrs. Doyle in the gif on the latest sale ad for your ebook store? Thank you.
(grin) Something of an Irish superheroine.
She appears as a supporting character in the Irish comedy series Father Ted. Mrs. Doyle is the housekeeper in the Craggy Island parochial house, looking after the three priests who're the main characters. Among various other talents, she prides herself on being able to get anyone to have a cup of tea (or a sherry, or a sandwich...) whether they want one or not. Here's a brief "Best Moments of Mrs. Doyle" compilation.

If there's a spectrum for the classification of housekeepers, Mrs. Doyle can be placed on it at the furthest possible distance from BBC!Sherlock's Mrs. Hudson. :)

Why does Niamh Connolly from Father Ted look so familiar? That’s only because she’s also S1 Kristine Kochanski

Watching Taskmaster series 13 ep 1 and Ardal described his duel as "hundereds of years of tradition were clearly there, with a contemporary fruity twist" which is, in fact, how i describe my sexuality

New Priest Lineup! This time including the other funny vampire priest!
Also my headcanons for them! None of these guys are straight nor cis (except John, he's the obligatory Cis guy)

Father Ted fanart! They're the silliest priests :]
Believe it or not, they're qualified for the 'sad priest' title (Ted more than Dougal but they're both very tragic it's actually so funny)
Bonus: silly FAITH crossover! FAITH would've been so much shorter if Ted and Dougal were there

But you have to do something really bad to get banned from Elon Musk’s Twitter. Oh, right. Embracing white nationalism.
Tumblr media
Crazy. I remember listening to him years ago on some of the Father Ted DVD commentaries and he sounded so…well, normal.
He made legitimate criticisms of the Catholic Church and sounded like a disaffected Catholic school boy who was more moderate now. Perhaps not liberal, but questioning a lot. He believed in women’s rights and hated racism.
Then he got weirdly obsessed with Trans people and turned into a right wing maniac.
