@revenge-of-the-assbutt @firstaidspray @sachermorte thank u for enabling me NEWAY since I’ve been too dead to do any of my own hobbies here’s some thoughts on House & Co’s physical hobbies/lil crafts & such they do in the comfort of their home<3:

House: canonically does a ton of shit like piano/guitar/cooking/so on but In the spirit of him resisting change (At Times!) I think he’s gotten very good if not makes a fun time out of mending clothes🥺…. Didn’t wanna throw away his favorite shirts so it started w small hems+resizings until he looked up more tips online and get decorative w it. Pretty contrasting colors/patterns now randomly laid on his shirts and pants w only the careful eye(Cuddy+Wilson) to notice. If anyone cares

Wilson: gardening. Well as much one can do within his apartments/pretty nonplant friendly homes. He’s not a super greenthumb expert but it always gives him a lil confidence boost when he’s able to grow out spices and herbs & such to use in his cooking ♥️

Cuddy: she seems like a collage-making kind of girlie💗💗 no specific theme in em or anything but she still holds onto the potential self-aid of making vision boards and it’s relaxing for her to go thru magazines/etc + cut out whatever interests her enough to use. Rachel tries and cutely fails to help 💓💓💓

Chase: ironically enough for the prodigal son lol but . He genuinely seems like someone who enjoys spending time in silence/music doing puzzles w 1000+ pieces & such #DWEEB❤️. House once got him a 5000 piece puzzle of a kangaroo or w/e as a joke and he is Determined to complete it. In due time chase…

Foreman: the thought of Foreman crocheting is so dear to me….. he doesn’t rly tell anyone ab it but there’s a lot of half-finished + worn projects as proof around his home. #angsting it sorry but I think he took it up after his mom started deteriorating bc she crocheted too and it was a fonder reminder + sumn they could do together. One yr he gave the fellow ducklings scarves he made as Xmas gift. Not that he told him he made it tho😅#repressed

Cameron: I think she has a moderately sized zen garden on a table somewhere in her home she takes SERIOUS. Changes the lines/circles in the sand periodically, sees what new arrangement of rocks she can do etc etc. Girl that thing is meant to be relaxing!! also colorcodes/sticker-covers/etc her planner like a CHAMP.

Amber: she has the most well-detailed prettiest most concerning-when-read journal/diary everrrr. Dedicates a specific time in every day to it w specific pens of various colors. Some of the recounting even have lil doodles or if she takes the journal out w her she draws her view wherever she is<3 they’re literal chickenscratch but its still fun and fulfilling. It’s a bibleesque piece to Wilson’s Amber shrine btw

Thirteen: she’s hard to analyze for me soz 13heads I do love her #trust… nonetheless I bet she goes to hella dance classes. Partially for the exercise partially for the fun partially for the need to experience Life partially for the women. Heh. She’s rly into zumba, jazz, contemporary classes to be specific.

Taub: ok ok so remember when he did/bought pottery or w/e to convince his wife he was being faithful. I think he’d do it for real as a joke/alibi then be like wait…. This is kinda fun…? There’s no constraints to what he can make + the sculpting reminds him vaguely of plastic surgery work so he keeps it up.

Kutner: I think he draws + writes his own lil comics/zines 🫶 they’re mostly scifi or superhero and more than a lil inspired by his fave preexisting medias . He likes using the crazy cases he’s experienced w House as story inspo. Also he 4 sure runs dnd campaigns so well and fun. Btw

Masters: she’s a suckerrrr for trivia nights my lil nerd wife<3 but um anyway when she wants to relax she Really doesn’t want sumn that can become info overload so in free time she’ll make friendship bracelets, lil shapes/figures out of string, etc. Will someone please give this woman a full on loom to go cray with!!!!

Park: I can see it so clearly . I can see her lil handpainted warhammer and other tabletop game figures so perfectly in my head. She paints more than she actually plays(but she does !). God save you if you touch or tumble them.

Adams: I kinda DGAF about her sorry women… hmm there’s sumn compelling ab her doing blackout poetry plus occasionally full-on written when the inspo hits! started as a boredom thing in her job in the prison w whatever book she brought in then she kept on doing it w more and more written pieces she comes across.

I put so much time into this. Perhaps too much.😭feel free to gimme y’all’s thoughts on this/ur own ideas :3

Random canonshipping headcanons because I’m invested in this crackship:

Instead of common petnames such as ‘babe’ or ‘darling’, Perrin affectionately calls Viola ‘shutterbug’ bc DUH meanwhile Viola gives me ‘my muse’ vibes but also ‘ma cherie’ because French™️

Viola’s lockscreen is a quick phone pic she took of Perrin’s intensely focused face as she’s about to take a photo of some passerby Santalune Forest Pokémon, but the best part is Viola’s vivillon being casually perched on Perrin’s head the entire time kinda like a comically oversized bow

What can I say when you’re a Pokémon photographer you get used to staying extremely still as not to spook your subject, and sometimes you just get used to becoming a perch fer wild Pokémon who mistake you as a funky looking tree

In this case Viola’s ace just really likes to vibe with her trainer’s girlfriend and Perrin is more than happy with the arrangement even if she doesn’t notice the giant butterfly perched on her half of the time because yeah she’s just used to being a makeshift tree fer randomass mons

Perrin’s lockscreen is a photo she took on her camera of a victorious Viola leaping with joy and a jubilant sparkle in her eye after a hard fought gym battle against a tough opponent she had narrowly beat, the vibrant gym leader celebrating with her vivillon is defo one of Perrin’s favorite pics ever

Yes Perrin loves to photograph Pokémon, but her gym leader girlfriend in action is a very, very close second when it comes to favorite subjects

When it comes to how they met in the first place, I like to think Perrin travels around the world photographing a variety of Pokémon, and when she heard of a Kalosian gym leader who was also a Pokémon photographer specializing in bug types girly just had to visit the region and check her work out

They met in a gallery showcasing Viola’s latest collection of photos, and hit it off real quick with their shared love of capturing the hearts of Pokémon in a single snap (infodumping to each other bout their fave photographers, techniques, praising the other’s work, etc etc)

You know inside jokes with the homies that require seven layers of context and a highly specific sense of humor? Besides a love Pokémon photography itself, Perrin and Viola bond over photographer memes that only they understand like anyone who would overhear the conversation would be so fucking confused

Like, their Pokégram dms are just filled with spamming the other really niche photographer memes/reels because meme spamming is its own love language

Need Viola taking Perrin as her plus one to some Kalos Pokémon League event and Perrin to make some obscure reference that sends the bug type specialist giggling and Korrina leans over to Grant to playfully stage whisper, “Damn, you never made her laugh like that when you two were dating” and Grant would roll his eyes as he goodnaturedly shoves off Korrina and mutter something about weird photographer humor

Grant and Viola as besties who tried dating but found they were better as homies and Grant wingmanning Viola when she was mad crushing on this traveling photographer can I get an amennnnn

Jokes on her while Viola was meticulously planning how she’s going to rizz up this baddie with box dye, Perrin thought they were already dating and Viola preferred to take it slow because useless sapphics <3333

When they’re OFFICIALLY dating not much really changes between the two expect more physical affection (smoochies!!) because ah yes Viola, her calling you all these sweet nicknames and consistently ‘hanging out’ with you all alone at Kalos’ most famous romantic spots is soooo normal gal pal behavior mhm yeah y’all dressing up all cute and stylish to go cafe hopping around Lumiose City was soooo platonic

Perrin and several of Viola’s friends tease the HELL outta her fer this fer pretty much the rest of time but hey!!! Now that the air is cleared, Perrin turns up the blatant flirtiness with her official girlfriend now that she knows Viola is comfortable with going not so slow so to speak >:)))

Rip Santalune City’s gym leader girly got that raging gay panic on a daily basis now

There’s tons of long distance girlfriends shenanigans because Viola has to consistently stay in Kalos to run her gym while Perrin continues her travels, this leads to timezone shenanigans where it’s like three am fer one of them and the other is just casually grabbing brunch but it’s finnneeee gods knows the gays don’t need sleep

Ruining your circadian rhythm fer your gay lover is also a love language guys trust trust trust

Assuming they met and started dating pre-Kalos game events, imagine it’s a videocall that’s like:

“Shutterbug, hey, um, why does every news station say Kalos was hit with a huge mega death ray?”

“Oh yeahhh don’t worry about it the whole thing got resolved by that super tough challenger I told you about a few weeks ago, anyways LOOK at this gorgeous Volcorona I was so lucky to meet today!”

“Viola please- wait those wings are so glossy wow the trainer must be taking such good care of them.”

Perrin says she’s not sure how a single kid can singlehandedly save the whole region from certain doom mixed with legendary Pokémon, the events of the DLC go down (whatever they may be), and then she calls Viola with a, “…okay, okay yeah I get it now.”

Anyways that’s all I got fer now if I decide to make a part two list then yiipppeeeee I love getting invested in total crackships

the power of multishipping and the power of writing any and all characters, in romantic pairings or otherwise.

i completely understand why people get very defensive over their faves and prefer not to imagine them in anything other than their preferred partnerships - particularly because i know that lots of people do genuinely get a lot of shit on account of their shipping preferences, especially [and my god wouldn't it be nice to get a grip on this] when that preference is for a canon m/f couple which has a major fanon slash rival - and i also understand that it can be tough to step outside of your comfort zone to face writing a character you don't immediately feel you have an instinctive grasp of.

but, lads, it's so fun! and - sure - it's good for you as a writer and as a human being to grapple with multiple perspectives and all that - but that's the crux of it. choose chuckles and write a crack fic today.

9. what is a ship that isn't your otp but that you enjoy?

snarry.

i obviously prefer both snape and harry with voldemort, but there's no doubt that the snarry girlies [gender neutral] are producers of the most extraordinarily magnificent stuff. if i am asked to name a fic which makes me cry and stare blankly into the middle distance, it's going to be @perverse-idyll's the white road. if i'm asked for filth i might recommend you eldritcher's a church without a steeple. if i'm asked for brilliant character studies of harry [and snape] after the war, i'm going to mention @danpuff-ao3's contempt or @titconao3's clay.

the snarry fandom has always seemed to me to consist of people who think really creatively and profoundly about life and love and all the questions therein. they're a great bunch of lads, and i do fear i'm getting closer and closer to taking the writing plunge all the time...

i've answered this here, saying ron, but when it comes to comic relief i'd like to - to my great regret - out myself as having recently become a great enjoyer of cormac mclaggen. if you had the misfortune - as i did - to attend a certain sort of english university, you will be familiar with his type [giant, obsessed with "the bants", and refreshingly stupid] and you will be familiar with making bad choices for men of that type. i can picture the jack wills polo he was wearing when they wheeled him into the hospital wing after he ate all those doxy eggs and - sigh - i love it.

WOW - what a fun few months it's been - Not really done too much work on this scrap boom for a while (just because my brain is always in 50 places at once ahaahah!!) - had a few problems the with the scanner at my local library again (but it was still fun trying it out !!) - i am aware a few of the pages look rather... blank - I may go back and add to them soon- I think today it was just a "oH MY GOD I NEED TO GET SCANS DONE AHDHJHDFDHFJD !!!" and I BATTLED WITH THE SCANNER AND SCRAMED A LITTLE INTERNALLY BUT HERE WE ARE--- WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

prited out a few of my fave jackie / viridian screenshots- also a few solo shots of my best girlie !! also went mad with stickers because you can NEVER have too many of them !! also collected the cinema tickets from when i saw john wick 4 and across the spriderverse ~

hand written note on the first page is from my dear friend bluefayt (linked her caard) - above that is a picture of me from comic con last year (taken by my fantastic irl bestie @withoutyouimsaskia <333 i love you aaaaa - we saw a bunch of star wars cosplayers and this person cosplaying as darth vader was posing for photos - they LARPed with me for a moment anf that photo was taken mid LARP - oh what an experice that was ~) sorry if you cant see it very well because of the damn contrast settings (tried to edit the scans but they ended up looking worse... so just posted the raw ones!!)

The xfiles tea packet is from @beastlybeverages !! I bought a pack of the xfiles themed tea last year after going to comic con - its a tea I really really enjoyed !!

The fith page - on the right - the postcard with the black and pink squares !! thats some serious art but my irl bestie Tim (aka 1710.film) - the post card was from an exhibition that happened when we were both at uni!!! Tim is not on tumblr- but please do check out his work- He is a photographer / conceptual artist - and one of my best dearest and lovely friends <3 you can find him on intagram here

sticker of the iron bull on page 4 is by @seonysketches - the manga ladies on pages 4 , 6 and 7 are by @pinkapplejam (find her esty here) - most of the other stickers i just had laying around - or picked up random packs in charity shops !! post cards and art cards too !! i found a whole pack of fairyloot(?) prints in a charity shop for like £2.49 and was like YOOO NEED - the art on the first pahe on the left side is of one of the main characters from these violent delights by chloe gong (WHICH I AM HOPING TO START READING SOON AGHHHH!))))

Idea on Who would survive a horror movie/film, DJATS edition

Inspired by Which DJATS character would survive a horror movie? poll by @svvy2003 (tagged).

I'm writing my own idea About It.

First i'm starting with characters and their horror tropes, and according to those tropes, who would survive, and who wouldnt, also who i would save, if i was allowed, which is difficult, because people has to die in Horror movies. I don't like to kill characters when i write tbh, because i get attached to them, thats the most difficult for me when im writing horror. But It has to be done. My fave genre to write Its murder mystery, because Only one dies (the awful one™) and then the others are ALL suspects because, everyone wanted that fucker dead XD.

Also, the physical look of the actors/ actresses playing those characters in Djats show, will be the one taken account for the judging, as It affects also in their survival chances (sadly) :

• The groupies (the groupies "going at It" with Billy, Eddies date the night of the affair with Camila, Graham's beach date...etc).

- Their horror trope : Hot "silly and slutty" girl (as horror writers judge them to be...🙄).

- Chances of Survival : Nope, 🎶nopity noopeee🎶 = 0%. They get instantly gruesomely killed, with unnecessary nakedness (shower or crappy sex scenes).

-Opinion : I hate the trope Its sexist as fuck, but Horror movies wouldnt allow saving too many people, because horror=death, so...They die.

• Lisa Crowne

-Her horror trope : the hot sweet girl.

-Chances of Survival: very low 10%-20% .

Its the female sexy (non slutty) girly girl. Sometimes plans the loss of her virginity , in teen slashers. Writers logic in horror Its : Sweet sexy likeable feminine girl = dies 🙄. Her death Its sudden & tragic, as everyone likes her , her demise always makes you gasp. Usually the first one to die of the group, or the second one, if any of the groupies was a girlfriend of a group member. The Sweet sexy one dies just before the wise one dies, and Its the "Shit just got real moment".

I would like to save her, cause i LOVE her, but her death Its necessary for horror & drama 😭

• Graham Dunne (also adding Tobías here, they have similar vibes)

- Horror trope: the cute loveable guy, sort of little brother for everyone. Sometimes he also gets the trope of final girl's best friend / tough chick complicated boyfried, who crushes on the final girl.

- Chances of Survival: very low = 5% to 10%. Hes young, cute, a guy that everyone likes and is younger brother for someone more prominent or dominant, so...As writers love the drama, he gets killed soon, and Its one of the characters that we care about. He dies, right after the groupies, and the Sweet sexy girl, but way before the wise one and other characters. This character death usually is a catalyst, so.. Its necessary 😭

• Warren Rojas

-His horror trope : the Funny one.

-Chances of Survival: very low = 5% to 10%. The funny character usually lives just to survive the wise one, towards the middle of the movie. He gives some comic relief, and youre sad for him later. Its death Its usually short and less explicit.

In this case, sadly, he's even more fucked, cause he's latino,and he's affected by the racist and disgusting "no pocs alive at the end" trope (popular between the 70's to the 2000's) present at many horror films,still nowadays...He dies.

Again, i dont want him dead, I dont want to perpetuate this trope, I just dont...But the funny one needs to die, to break the audiences Hearts 😭

• Teddy Price ( add Billy's and Graham's mom / Camila's mom here, same vibes.)

- The horror trope: wise one paternal/ maternal figure, loved by everyone.

- Chances of Survival: very low = 10% to 20%. Dies killed in a tragic and epic scene, towards the middle of the movie, probably sacrificing for the rest of the group, maybe because the awful one™ actions.

-Racism in this case doesn't matter (thank God!!) but just because of the ageism trope (😭) , if you're older than 50... you die, period. (The walking dead, im looking at you!!😡)

- I would like to save him/them, as i dont like killing off characters. Having said that, that death in a horror story Its very sad but very fitting, would probably die saving Billy. Devastating one 😭😭😭

• Rod Reyes.

- Horror trope: cool protector "older than the rest" but "still young and hot enough" figure. This character is epic, smart and hot all in one. Example: In vampire movies he/she is the cool vampire Hunter, second smarter after the wise one™.

- Chances of Survival: low to moderate = 25%-50%. He usually dies, towards the end of the movie, and his death Its the catalyst of the evil thingy demise and / or the final girl wake up call (many times Its the final girl's older brother/sister or stranged after divorce father, so yeah). Other times this character survives, but mauled... But in that scenario, at least they get to live (yayy!!). Rod is gay, so written by stereorypical writers, he may get affected by the disgusting "bury your gays" trope STILL common in movies/TV...what the fuck!!! (Deathtrap, Halloween kills, Scream 4...)

-I would like to save him...So he: 1- lives heavily mauled 2- if he really needs to die to adjust survivor numbers...Then he dies an epic death saving people, thus leaving us devastated (think the typical explosion with a big group of zombies surrounding the group, after being bitten himself).

• Eddie Roundtree

-His horror trope : the annoying one, aka The one who always complains and doesn't help at all.

-Chances of Survival: None, 🎶nopity, nopeeee🎶= 0% to 10%.

The annoying one always dies, usually when he/ she stops being annoying and start being reasonable/nice (arc redemption of sorts??) then...he/ she dies towards the middle to the end. Right after the Funny one. People feel sad, because they die just when they started to get likeable .

-As i said, dont like killing, but Eddie goes down 😟

• Nicky (Niccolo) Fitzpatrick- Argento

-His horror trope : the awful one™ aka the one everyone hates , absolutely everyone. May actually be the killer in some teen slashers (Scream). He always fucks everything up, doesn't go with the plan, gets someone killed because of It (tough chick or wise one), Its a fucking coward (see Train to Busan's Yon-suk) , may or may not be obsessed with the final girl (Scream again). This IS the one you want to die during the film.

-Chance of survival: Even less than None, 🎶Nope nopity nopeeee 🎶 = - 100% to 0% 😈. Always has the most gruesome death, to make people slightly happier after breaking their hearts too many times with the rest of deaths. Its also the death we always remember as "holly bloody awesome" when we remember the film, this is where writers puts most of their creative artistic sadism into action... And let's face it, its way more satisfying than It should be.

Because Nicky Its the fucking worse, He dies a horrible death. Byeee!!

• Bernie

-Her horror trope : the nice sporty boyfriend/girfriend for another character.

-Chance of Survival: No, 🎶nopity Nope🎶 0% to 5%. This character, like smart sexy girl and lovey boy, IS designed to die and break our Hearts, always. Plus, in Bernie's case.. In a horror, being black and lesbian ("Vásquez always dies" + "no poc at the end" : Land of the death, The hollow child, the descent, the ridge grave Girls, killing Eve...) with the usual writers, that inhabit fiction (horror)...Lets face it, she's screwed.

-I would like to save her, shes fit and strong, i hate tropes, So she: 1- lives heavily mauled. 2- if she really needs to die (like Rod before) to adjust survivor numbers...Then she dies an epic death saving people, thus leaving us devastated (see Rods death before) . In this case she dies saving Simone 😭 probably from one of Nickys fucked up actions.

• Simone Jackson

-Her trope : best female friend of the final girl.

-Chance of survival: moderate to high = 50% to 100%. Tricky, if Its written by old times male writers, she as a black woman and a lesbian...you already know the tropes. But , if Its written by modern times cool writers (see Hell Fest movie) she survives, maybe hurt/ mauled, but does live. That type of character death follows the tear jecker trope (like lovely boy and Sweet sexy girl)

-I would definitely save her, be It mauled or healthy, but she gets to live. No doubt on that one. She will survive. Period.

• Julia Dunne (add Daisy's daughter and Graham's kids too)

-Horror trope : daughter/ younger sister of the Hero and or the final girl (when is a baby/ kid). If teen or adult, she gets "smart nerdy girl, too clumsy to survive alone" trope. Either case, "damsel in distress" trope.

-Chance of survival: low to high= 25% to 80%

This one was the most complicated to me. Because if we write her as an Adult, then she dies in the Hero or Final Girl's arms, to add drama, or had survived after enduring horrifying torture/trauma at the villains hands.

If Its a kid...

1 - if Its written by old school writers (the walking dead comic , plenty of writers till the 90's) then kid/baby lives.

2 - But if Its new school writers (see the Walking Dead TV show or Game of Thrones to see what i mean) she dies as a kid too. And we bawl our eyes out 😭😭😭😭😭😭.

I really want to save Julia and the other kids too . If Its a baby/ kid written by me, then Its safe, i refuse to kill kids in my stories, period.

If Its Adult... i dont know, may sacrifice her/them to save another person ? Julia definitely would die for others. Depends on the story and genre,.

To me as Adult, Julia survives (mauled) saved by Billy. The kids (Daisy's an Graham's) lives, saved by parents. No kid dies here agenda Its Alive and well.

• Billy Dunne

- His horror trope: the tortured hero™ , he's the hot main man all Girls want. Also Its 1 -the final girl love interest, in which they either dont get along at first or are dramatic exes (Daisy) 2- are a very in love couple in a huge crisis, always because of him (Camila).

In the first scenario they fall (or fall again) in love and defeat the evil.

Second one, they survive and reinforce their relationship (what happened in Djats, but im digressing)

- Chance of survival: moderate to high = 50% to 100%. Its tricky, because , for one part, Billy its physically hot and fit, also brave, and we all know for sure he does know how to fight/ throw a good puch. He's a badass. If he were the main character and got to have "before the 90's writers", he survives 100% (see original Evil Dead series), but if he is the final girl's love interest.. he gets mauled or he dies for her safety, and you all know that Billy would die for those he loves (Julia , Camila, Daisy, Graham, Teddy...)

Its one of the few things that Billy Dunne has in common with Sam Claflin's other most popular character : Finnick O'dair. They both would absolutely die for those they love without hesitation.

Against his survival, there's also... that he is played by Sam Claflin (my beloved❤️) who dies a lot in films ,at the point of being this generation's Sean Bean...😭. I've seen him die more than I can bear... Anyway, because i am not objective , as I love Sam, and i like Billy, i want him to survive, but as writers like to make him suffer, I'm writing him to survive mauled, but very much alive (yaayyy!!!) *cough learn Suzanne Collins cough*.

• Karen Sirko

- Her trope: tough chick.

If Its a secondary character Its usually sidelined. As main character , she shines and saves the day.

- Chances of Survival: moderate to high = 50% to 100%. Depends, again, if Its secondary, then chances are lower (Vasquez always dies trope) But if shes the main, she survives. Also in her case, depends of the horror genre, in Sci-fi shes the absolute main character, and the final girl (see Alien, Karen = Ripley, for real) if Its zombie apocalypse/ Vampires/ werewolves etc fights greatly, but dies in the end (Land of the dead) But if she's secondary and in slasher, she doesn't get a chance, and dies towards the end, because of the awful one character coward actions. Also... she's blonde , they dont do well in horror films.

- I would try my hardest to save her, but only if the story works. If not, then Epic death (Rod + Bernie) might be required.

• Camila Dunne / Camila Álvarez

-Her trope : She has plenty.

1- THE FINAL GIRL (before the 90's).

2- Perfect girlfriend/ wife or tortured hero™ (Billy).

3- Dream girl, too perfect for being real and Too good for this world.

-Chances of Survival: low to very high = 30% to 100%.

1- If Its old time writers (or gothic fiction) and she's the main one, she survives, she's what all Girls should aspire to be, the males LOVE her...Survives 100%.

2- Old times writers... But Billy IS the main one:

a) She survives with him as the LOVE interest who was on crisis with him, but forgives him, and end Up together, marrying (thats why i used her maid surname before) = 100% Survival ❤️

b) She is the girlfriend / wife of "avenging tortured hero boyfriend", after a R&R movie scenario, and dies just for the "man-pain" trope : The Crow , Death Wish (Camila Morrone appears on that one playing Julia's trope role), The Punisher, Mandy, Seeing Justice...Then dies 100%😭

3- New time writers totally kill her type of girl, for shock / drama factor , maybe make her be slightly mean or manipulative to that other "not-like-other-Girls" modern final girl (you know Who i mean), to get that one they like better with the male Hero (*cough literally Taylor Jenkins Reid* and cough *Hello Sunshine writers cough*).

In her favor : she's Hot and brunette. Brunettes are the winning ones usually. Against her : she's latina (poc dies trope, remember?) and is considered slutty(!?) by some audiences for her affair thing with Eddie / the Guy she has a Crush in high school!!! ...Dont go to Twitter / X ever...Seriously, don't. Save yourself the headache, that i just got yesterday.

- I would try to save her without hesitation, tbh. If she has to die (numbers adjustement) , then she resurfaces as a Ghost and Its the narrator of the story. Period. I dont give a damn anymore. She gets to exist...Still better than what canon did for her, tbh.

• Daisy Jones

- Her trope : Also plenty.

1- Modern (90's to nowadays) main girl or final girl aka ~🎶 Not-like-other-Girls™ ✨~ : Slightly insane but unique, feminine But not too much, whimsical, ethereal, but lonely... Its usually written by modern writers (female). Very present at indie movies, romcom, romance in general and Young Adult ex: Twilight's Bella Swan anyone??? Daisy Jones reminds me a lot to Bella Swan: gets everything she wants, does mostly fuck up , she is "Not-like-other-Girls™ ", both have terrible moms . And somehow , they get EVERYONE'S love...Tell me Daisy isn't like that !!! I love her, dont get me wrong, But let's be honest here...That IS Daisy's trope.

2- Possessed by evil entity , because...Well, because....Just because she is a redhead!!!???😱 Apparently demons dig possessing redheaded girls , at least according to horror writers 🙄.

And if you are a woman with mental health issues then...Welcome to "woman with mental health issues= Evil woman" trope. Its still present at fiction nowadays (sadly) Ex: Evil Dead (2013) most Lifetime movies about evil women.

3- Hidden real Evil one, either a Witch, Vampire or a human mastermind killer. She is hot and redhead, I theorize that horror writers hates redheaded pretty women, because they have been rejected by redhead women (as they should) and those men are bitter now...🤣 Proof of the theory Its that there's way too many examples to count here...

-Chances of Survival: high to very high = 75% to 100%.

Let's face It , the series are called Daisy Jones and the Six for a reason, she IS charismatic as fuck, the girl has main character energy in spades,which means that she has a "Big as the Everest" sized plot armor.

I also am old enough and have read enough to recognise that thick plot armor when i see It, Daisy has It , I mean :

1- Dont die of overdose in book nor in the show,

2- As older woman was healthy and still Hot...After that extreme drug use???! Come on!

3- She also got :

clean / sober,

cute little daughter (serie) ,

brilliant career writing (book) / singing (serie)

The hot Guy™ tortured hero aka Billy too!!!! (Book implied, Serie explicitly seen at the end).

So, if she can survive the drugs adiction with 0 to no consequences...Then she survives whatever you do to her...she IS unkillable.

Thats It, i guess. Sorry for the long rant. Feel free to share your opinions or theories about horror and the tropes.

OH HELL YEA I LOVE THE SUPER THEME!!!!

i was raised to be a majorrrr dc girlie and superman was my father's fave hero, so naturally i gravitated a lottttt to (comics) supergirl!!!!

so i gotta ask, is there a specific reason why you're partial to the big man with an 's'??? (and might i add you have exquisite taste hehehe) ♥️

This is actually quite a tough question to answer. I'm not sure I can tell you why Superman is my favourite superhero. I'm not even entirely sure when I decided he was.

I think it's a combination of a lot of different factors.

I like that he's so iconic. The first superhero, and the one all the others are built on or around. It's like Tolkien and medieval fantasy. Superman defined the genre.

I like that he's so relatable. He's working class, form a rural background, is a dorky reporter, has bad fashion sense, and is just earnestly trying to do the right thing.

I like that he turned a generation against the KKK in 1940s.

I like that he wore his underwear on the outside for YEARS and didn't let the bullies get to him about it. You do you, my dude. You do you.

I like that, when he encounters glowing green rocks, he always keels over in the most dramatic way possible. None of this manly 'I will grit my teeth and tough my way through it' bullshit. Straight to the floor in an elaborate swoon. The diva. 10/10. No notes.

I like that he was invented by Jewish immigrants.

I like his sassy wife who climbs into vents to get the scoop on corrupt businessmen (and who Clark clearly adores with all his heart).

I like that there are a bunch of people who know Clark is Superman, but keep his secret, because he's a nice guy, and most people are good and decent.

I like that he has the weirdest silver age stories (eg, alien bug head).

And, of course, I love his unshakable belief in the inherit goodness of humanity.

So, yeah... I like Superman.

W.I.T.C.H - now i'm not gonna pretend to be the biggest fan but this used to be THE show for me before WINX came along and i'll always pride myself on being a witch girlie first and winx girlie second (the "not like other girls" syndrome began very early on for me); their powers, the visuals, the adventures combined with the daily struggles of teen girls, the boyfriends, the intro song omg, there is sm about this show, the countless books, the og comic.. good stuff <3

Lovely Complex - my first anime iirc, i wish people would pay attention to it (but also i'm the only one who's allowed to get it, y'know); only a young romantic towering over her classmates could have the chance of understanding my feelings for it

Hana Yori Dango - broooo- bro. this show was made for my basic romantic ass, it was my first asian drama (or one of the first), it introduced me to Matsumoto Jun, had me hooked for two seasons (though im pretty sure i binged the second season and movie in 24 hours, long after i had watched the first season..? idk what that was about)

i am of the opinion f4 thailand did best in many ways but this will forever be THE adaptation in my heart. the songs were unmatched, the drama breathtaking (there are so many cliches that i didn't know were cliches back then lol) and the experience surreal. i'll always treasure this questionable classic 💖

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? - i enjoy this an unreasonable amount - my country's edition, that is; i just like having it in the bg and being a smartass, sometimes i run my mouth off so confidently and proceed to apologise to the tv when the contestant turns out to have been right lol

Weekly Idol - hear me out on this - aside from all of its issues, the show has always been my way of finding more about groups. especially back in 2015, those low quality episodes on yt helped me so much with getting into kpop; it can be very hit-or-miss but i have so many faves; many artists have been on multiple episodes throughout the years and yet show something entertaining every time. you can find new groups to stan through the mixed episodes and learn more about the members of groups you're already interested in (though for that i also rec individual shows like gose, wanteez, monsta x-ray etc.). i'm especially excited for eunkwang and minjoo as the new hosts, they are so funny on their own and i want to see their dynamic so bad

Pride & Prejudice - i've watched this just once but i can't not appreciate the accuracy to the book (except for the iconic lake scene lmao) and it covers british tv, 90s shows, austen books and period dramas all at once - all things i enjoy

Bridgerton - i had a whole piece written bout this but simply put - season 2 and kathony were a Thing for me. got me researching and binging a bunch of jonathan shows, reading most of the book and a bunch of tumblr posts..even looking through gifs now im going feral, i love them

New Girl - i usually play shows like this in the bg but i found myself paying a lot of attention and actually losing it laughing so many times, also nick and schmidt are the most precious intense bromance i've witnessed in fiction

One of the dumbest things I think you've ever said was that cartoon fans hate children because they don't like how certain child characters are written or because they think a reboot of a kids show is badly written. Like, you do understand there's a difference, right? Yeah, I totally want children dead or something because I children's entertainment can be better than those soulless, ugly nursery rhyme compilation videos that children are addicted to. Logic.

Cartoon fans always have a warped idea how children actually are. Because they forget WE WERE kids. Whenever they see a little kid character who is slightly overbearing and overenergetic, yknow what a little kid IS, the fandom calls the character "annoying", "brat" etc. And god forbid if a teenage character was their point of contention

I remember watching Transformers Prime and I thought Miko was my fave out of the human teens the Autobots looked after. Yet Ive seen so many fans complaining she was a rude, impulsive, bratty bitch and found her excitable attitude around the Autobots "annoying" because how DARE a 14 year old acts stupid and is excited to hang out with giant robots.

And this stems to how cartoon fans view children who are fans as well. I was in the brony fandom and I noticed whenever the show introduced more characters or spin offs for the sake of toys, a lot of bronies groaned how its so "girly" and "not what the show is" aka anything remotely marketable and feminine whatsoever. And they got mad when kids loved it cos it reminded them they're watching a girl's show. They outright pilloried G3 fans for liking such a baby's show when Friendship is Magic is literally no different than g3 outside of more consistent characters and its funnier. Heck, even when G5 came along and there was a poll of who their fave main character was and Pipp, the most feminine of the group who was a social media savant, had the least votes. Whereas Izzy, the g5 Pinkie Pie, was at no. 1. (which goes to show how cartoon fanbases are extremely biased to wacky comic relief characters with quasi-neurodivergent traits) Also I was exposed to a lot of fucked up shit, the porn of this fandom was unfiltered and incredibly easy to access on youtube and google. (this was before youtube kids was a thing) This is the same fandom that brought us Cupcakes and Fallout Equestria and Rarity's New Designs. All from a show thats about horse puppies being friends. And as for the little kids who were surrounded by this content, no wonder they grew up traumatised. Cos bronies didnt give a single pissing shit about the children. Look up brony horror stories. You'll see why.

Cartoon fandoms have this preconceived notion to muscle children out of the picture as possible so they can feel more secure watching kids shows without their parents judging them. They hate being reminded that the stuff they watch IS FOR KIDS IN THE FIRST PLACE. But the problem is 75% of media out there is made for children in mind. Star Wars, Disney, Pixar movies, Dreamworks movies, Batman, Spiderman, Marvel, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Transformers etc.

As for the bad reboot angle, I always firmly believed the phrase "This X REBOOT RUINED MY CHILDHOOD" is always a defensive way of saying: "THIS CHILDRENS PROPERTY IS NOT IMMEDIATELY CATERING TO ME >:(" Like they treat a reboot like its an act of betrayal when its just a piece of media changing and evolving with the generations to appeal to the newer ones. If you want the same show you watched as a kid, just watch the original thing on youtube or collect dvds and merch of it. But if you want to watch this reboot, you've got to realise change is what reboots do and if you get mad at the small/big changes a reboot makes...

As long as a show doesnt push racist/sexist/bigoted or any problematic themes in their faces, its fine. If the kids love it, the reboots done its job.

And as for the quality of children's entertainment, I dont really give a shit what soulless nursery rhyme collection or sanitised fluff kids watch. We all had our mindless fluff we watched as kids and we didnt get scarred for life because of it.

Just...leave the kids alone. Just act like adults and manage your shit carefully. Let the kids enjoy what they enjoy and for the love of god DONT GET SO FUCKING DEFENSIVE OVER LIKING A CARTOON AIMED AT BABIES. ITS ONLY WEIRD WHEN YOU MAKE IT WEIRD.

okay but as someone who has read OP, I need to share this with you 'cause I feel like you'll love Buggy even more afterwards, knowing you;

He's largely a comic relief character, and the main reason he becomes so notorious overtime in the story is through INSANE amounts of RIDICULOUSLY dumb luck, and being surrounded by people even dumber than him. Including Luffy himself lol

(Smart/truly powerful ones tend to not see him as a threat so that also kinda contributes to him surviving crazy shit as they just ignore him - or take advantage of his own dumbness to get him to help them, which does give him clout of 'Oh I know this scary powerful person, we're buddies! Totally!"

(also obligatory reveal: my Faves were Nico Robin, Sabo, Luffy himself, Zoro, Shanks and Trafalgar Law, tho idk which characters were included in the Live Action, probs not Law at least as he's s much later character)

I'm so predictable, it's hilarious. You are perfectly correct, all these facts make me love Buggy even more, the silly little clown is everything to me. King of falling upward and bottoming his way to the top.

To tell you the truth, I've been doing a deep dive into the Buggy tag this past week, and all the things I keep learning about him make me love him even more. I already knew he was divorced/bitter exes with Shanks but I also learned that he accidentally joined a polycule with two of the most dangerous and menacing characters in the entire story and I just ... truly THE character of all time. All the legendary pirates want a piece of this silly little clown and good for him.

Also I've officially started reading One Piece ... I did it ... I'm almost embarrassed because I always wanted to be special and not like the other girlies but I've been bewitched by this silly little pirate story.

As of now, I love all the Straw Hats I've met (pretty much all the OG five that I already loved in the live-action series so I'm a little biased) with a special love Sanji and Usopp because I really do be loving pathetic little men with self esteem issue it would seem. (I'm also very excited to meet Robin and Brooks because I've been really intrigued by these two characters for years).

yeah i redesigned the joker for a gen z verse. what ABOUT it!!! this is the first art ive done for myself in a long time and i very proud of it! i had a lot of fun incorporating some of my fave parts of different jokers for this au. ive never read any of the comics, but i think as long as i keep the ‘joker is OBSESSED with the emo furry guy w/ wet cat energy’ and ‘bruce cannot exist without batman, and batman cannot exist without bruce’ energy it should. probably be fine. idk! im doin this verse for funsies bc its RIDICULOUS how the subtext becomes literal proof when you even GLANCE through the batjokes entry on the shipping fandom wiki. like. if bruce died instead of his parents then HIS MOM WOULD BECOME THE JOKER AND HIS DAD WOULD BECOME BATMAN??? 1. Bioshock: Mark Meltzer

This man is the subject of my very first post on tumblr, he must be included here, I adore this sad fuck.

2. Homestuck: Diamonds Droog

A toss up between him and Slick. I was and am a Homestuck Intermission girlie and this must be acknowledged.

3. Dragon Age: Justice

I have many many Dragon Age faves and DAO and also Awakening is so so important to me, but Jorstin here is the fellow I have the most distinct and personal opinions about and is, aside from OCs like my Brosca Warden, Avi, the only one I have a strong rp/fic voice for. He’s such a weird and cool dude!

4. DC Comics/Animated Universe: Martian Manhunter/ J’onn J’onzz

My BOY. I love him most in the VERY specific comic pictured above (1988 miniseries that establishes the Martian gods as being flaming horrorterrors, as we see in Sandman w/L’zoril Dream, it’s GOOD SHIT)—but also in general. Criminally under rated and under represented. A sad fuck, a shape shifting horror, a stranger in a strange land, a bereaved parent, Doing His Goddamn Best. AND sometimes a noir detective send up.

Anyway, speaking of comics.

5. Sandman: Dream of the Endless

I am thrilled to be here in the year of our lord 2024 enthusing about and making friends over this scrunkly wet cat that I first encountered and dearly loved in high school. (I am more than halfway through my 30’s now, so it has been A WHILE). I’m counting Sandman and DC as separate affairs, sorry not sorry.

6. Our Flag Means Death: Izzy Hands

Loved him even before S2, fascinated, I want to put him in a jar and shake him but also keep him safe forever. I am a little soured on the show after s2, but I have dressed up as Izzy and would gladly do so again so he belongs here.

7. Supergiant Hades: Achilles

This SPECIFIC version of Achilles, who has died and continued growing through his pain and regrets and who is a surrogate parent to my BOI Zagreus, is. Fascinating. To me. I was so angry at first to find myself liking him as much as I did! It’s masterful how much characterization Supergiant implies with relatively little. He’s coming after Izzy on the list bc I came to them both in similar ways, looking at myself falling in love and going oh my god HIM? Seriously? And being like yup that war criminal there is my son now!!! (And now of course I’m fond of him all across the mythological/classical board, oh my god Hadesgame what have you done.)

8. Star Wars: Alexsandr Kallus

The only space nazi redemption arc I will accept. (Although I am watching Andor with friends right now and three double agent gingers across the begins to suggest a pattern which is very entertaining to me.)

Anyway A+ arc, love this bastard man, love his giant cat husband, single-handedly keeping me invested in Star Wars, hope his gay happy ending never gets messed with.

9. Les Miserables: Inspector Javert

Another character that I went oh my god REALLY??? That Guy??? About. But he’s so /funny/ in the Brick and Stars is lovely enough that I learned how to play barre chords on my guitar Just For That and look. Look. He is a bastard but he is MY bastard and I will read every redeemed!Javert fic that crosses my path forever the end. (Also a side note: Kallus was originally sold to me by @lokivangelist as “space Javert”)

10. The Witcher: Dandelion/Jaskier (all versions, but repping Hexer below because that’s my favorite!!!)

Throwing a curveball for the last slot! I’ve got a sad dad/monochrome aesthetic/loyal right hand/shapeshifting nonhuman/rigid worldview kinda pattern happening above, and my boi here slip slides away from almost all of those. Except for the loyalty. This man is an absolute ride or die for Geralt and I love that about him. He is also an obnoxious fuckboi but I love that too, especially in a story as heavy as the Witcher frequently can be. (My runner up for this fandom was gonna be book!Lambert, who is similarly narratively savvy and good at puncturing the heaviness of a scene without being straight up comic relief.)
