Draw all the mushrooms for the week in one scene with a character at the center

Febirdary #6 Awkward

Oops, we’ve got some catching up to do for Febirdary. The backlogged drawings will be uploaded later today in queue! But now for today’s drawing - I don’t think much within the order of the birds can match a baby (pheasant-tailed) jacana for awkwardness. Though born at a fraction the size of adults, their legs are almost at adult width already, and their toes only do little growing. 

Which makes for poofy chicks with some honkin’ big feet.

Febirdary 06 – Awkward / Bizarre

The Eurasian bittern !

This kind of heron has the peculiarity of hiding in the reeds by standing upright as an i. Mother nature being nice, it positioned its eyes so that even in this position, it can see a predator approaching. Isn't it classy to be able to stare someone with the chin ...? x'D

The Eurasian bittern also has one of the coolest songs I've ever heard. If we consider the sound of someone who blow in a big pipe as cool, but I love it.

Le Butor étoilé !

Cette sorte de héron a la particularité de se cacher dans les roseaux en se tenant droit comme un i. Dame nature étant sympa, elle lui a positionné les yeux de façon à ce que même dans cette position, il puisse voir un prédateur approcher. S'est-y pas classe de pouvoir dévisager quelqu'un avec son menton... ? X'D

Le Butor a aussi l'un des chants les plus cool que j'ai pu entendre. Si tant est qu'on considère le bruit de quelqu'un qui s'époumone dans un gros tuyau comme cool, mais moi j'adore.

Bizarre donc... X)
