Solarpunk Community Playlists

So we've got the community playlist for Solarpunk Aesthetic Week, right? It's nice and big, but I wanted to make more community playlists with specific vibes in mind! I've already added a bunch of songs to each, but the goal is to let everyone contribute to them and enjoy them!

Solarpunk and Chill is for lofi/chill beats! The aim is to have it be mostly lofi, or generally just good music to chill to while studying or working on projects!

Solarpunk Sunny Beats is for songs that are pretty upbeat and just feel solarpunk to us--whether its the subject matter of the song, or just the way the instruments sound! It's meant to be the middle ground between the lofi playlist and the next.

Solarpunks Fight for Our Future! is for songs that are punk/punky/rebellious-feeling! The kind of playlist you would bump to on the way to a protest, or do some action--what's the soundtrack that plays in your head if you were to guerrilla garden or do other rebellious acts? Add it here!

Thinking about the qbbh dissection. He said he was dissected once but that it didn't kill him which isn't how dissections work (dissections are performed on bodies presumed dead)

but it still makes sense cuz he doesn't die when he is killed contrary to that one anime screenshot (vvv this one)

So he was probably "dead" but not gone. They could have dissected him after killing him.

Then how would he know about them doing it? Iirc he has to regain his memories in a slow process after reviving, did someone tell him ("hey friend who may not remember me they absolutely desecrated your body post mortem man they just ripped into it")???

And what was the context for the dissection. Were they interested scientifically? Was this in like a morgue setting to determine cause of death or were they just so perplexed by him that they dissected him like a specimen? Did they know he wasn't human or find out after starting the dissection? Did he wake up after being dissected in the same body or did he just like. Find his old one on display somewhere??? Did he wake up with his organs all on display and go "oh they dissected me" ??? Was mans waking up and walking around with his guts spilling everywhere

ugh. where to start. okay so the thing about destiel and spn in general is that it went on with the same characters for so long that we have sooo much material for them (which like having a dozen different writers write for the same characters leads to a lot of different interpretations too) like. 12 years for a love story is a LONG time for a TV show to tell. lots of ups and downs, lots of different versions of canon. like we have sooo many different story arcs with them like widower arc, divorce arc, raising a kid arc, etc bc we get 12 YEARS of them!!!

okay so like. they love each other like a religion, more than religion, dean literally starts to pray to him when he feels like it's begging!!!! it's fucked up and chaotic and all consuming (and not healthy at all but isn't that why we love them?)

I do love a good domestic AU don't get me wrong and they do deserve one at the end of all the shit they go through but like imo they're not built for "normal" domestic. like they have their own kind of domestic life in the AU in my head where it involves hunting and drinking and fighting but at the end of the day they still end up back with each other

also it's just. poetic to me. that the man who feels abandoned by god(/his father) and an angel who's abandoned by his father(/god) find each other and go I would kill for you I would die for you I would hurt you if you asked but please don't ask me I can't live without you etc etc

I think my main thoughts about them in regards to this bingo is they are my comfort ship, they need to get weirder with it, and they make me CRAZY !

here’s a random doodle while I ramble more in depth about the winged Crow au I have currently bouncing around the inside of my brain

So to start with, I’d imagine the wings came about as a weird manifestation of the Light when Crow was revived (I am aware this is so not canon accurate but hush it’s an au ;]). With that being said if he was unfortunate enough to be revived during the Red War instead, they would be unusable, basically dead weights. Not paralysed completely but definitely not able to fly.

Another thing is that when he was first revived, despite not remembering anything regarding his past, he definitely knew that he did not have wings before. So there was a lot to get used to. Oh yea also Glint definitely thought he fucked something up during the revival process, poor guy. For a while Crow would end up crashing into things or knocking items over with his wings.

While he was under Spider’s leadership, Spider clipped his wings as another way to control him, just like when he planted that bomb in Glint’s shell. (fuck Spider, all my homies hate Spider) So it was a while before he even got to fly, also since no one has had wings before (minus getting advice from Solar wielding Warlocks like Osiris) Crow basically had to teach himself to fly.

While living in the Reef there were a lot of rumours circulating around Guardians working in the Reef of a winged Guardian/humanoid. The ones who saw his face were a LOT more freaked out as they saw it as Uldren back with fucking wings.

We all know Hunters are already sneaky menaces, now give one wings and the ability to fly and it gets even more chaotic.

Also if anyone wants to do their own thing with this au/concept, go ahead! I doubt i’m the first that’s thought of Crow with wings. And if you do create something I’d love to see it!

Also ALSO this isn’t related to Destiny but I have plans for an Omori animatic :] (got it all planned out, just waiting impatiently for Procreate Dreams to come out in a few days so I can animate) so if you’re interested in that I’ll be sharing stuff for it at some point. It’s actually been quite a while since I’ve animated something properly (multiple years lmao) so i’m excited to get back into it.

i've been wondering- what do you think of vash and ww's relationship to pain? do u have any thoughts on it??

cuz i was just thinking like. obviously they're both extremely resilient and don't care much if they get hurt in the process of achieving whatever, but like... as for the pain specifically, i have to wonder.

cuz i'm reading trimax for the first time and toward the end of the sand steamer mess kite basically asks if vash even feels pain. and i mean... he has to, since not that long ago he just hit the floor with a dramatic blood splatter lmao. but like.

is he just suppressing visible reactions? or does he just not feel pain unless it's above a certain level?

and i wanna know about ww too if you have thoughts, i just haven't gotten that far in trimax :')

forgive me if my wording is all over the place, i havent been very elegant in my words Lately, but i am always down to talk about specific shit involving vash and wolfwood,

if we're just talking physical pain, yeah, i think they feel pain normally!

For Vash, he is the master of repression throughout Trimax, so I think naturally, he keeps a strong face no matter the level of hurt, whether on the outside or inner. It's just in his nature to not allow others to worry about him by pulling through with a fake smile or in some cases, he feels like he deserves the pain inflicted on him so even if he's getting pulverized to shit or threatened against his life, he'd default to a silence as opposed to screaming in agony that might make people think he isn't feeling anything. It's probably also second nature for him to no longer yelp or cry at pain after the amount of years he's spent getting hurt, but i think this only applies if he isn't emotionally involved in a fight (which is rare, but it happens in ch. 38).

In terms of physical pain, he seems to feel it like how regular humans do. I've thrown together some examples where he goes owchie owchie owchie that aren't too spoilery:

The Emilio scene is kind of why I don't think he's just playing up the theatrics of feeling pain, though I do think he would on some occasion, especially since he roleplays with children all the time. Verbally saying "ow ow ow" could potentially be an instinctive reaction too or maybe a source of comfort. But yeah!! I think Vash has always been able to feel pain and it's not like being a plant has lessen his ability to do so. Any resilience built is tacked on due to him being alive for 100 years and being a guy with a clear painted bullseye on his entire figure that ends up getting him shot and scarred.

In the end, the pain that gets to Vash the most will always be on an emotional level rather than physical, but Vash is such a genuine person and so present when it comes to other people that even if it's a pain he can take, it'll still hurt him terribly in more ways than one.

For Wolfwood; I think in general, those under the Eye of Michael have a strong resilience to dealing with pain due to the regen potions and the amount of training forced on them. I don't think we ever get the full description of what exactly those in EoM endured throughout their younger years, but we saw WW get shot at an early age in chapter 12 and we can assume it happened more than once. Over and over again until he won't even flinch against it just like how killing without hesitation was attempted to be drilled into him. I don't really know how it works scientifically… but I fully believe that he's mostly numbed to the physical sensation of it and it's the psychological part that gets to him more. Wolfwood himself is a naturally skilled fighter too, not that that really has anything to do with his dealing with pain, but I think his focus and attention on a battle and his stubbornness to win kicks an adrenaline that allows him to ignore the pain.

Though, his body also gets sore and tired just like any regular human does and there's this instance where he goes owie too:

(While NOT as much as Tristamp WW does where he's cracking a cold one every goddamn minute, I do think Trimax WW has gotten used to taking regen pots and thus, can afford to be careless and not give a damn.)

So, physically, technically in canon, they don't really have anything that specially makes either of them unable to feel pain, but just as you said, they're incredibly resilient. And ultimately, the both of them are affected emotionally/psychologically that hurts them more than the physical aspect of it, considering how physical pain is almost a daily chore for them to deal with (Vash being hunted for sport for majority of his life + Wolfwood being involved in experiments/killings for majority of his life.)

I think Trigun in general, while showing physical pain being a strong factor of hurt for regular people like us constantly seeing civiilians get beat up or shot, it tends to boil down to the multiple varieties of pain when it comes to those who deal with physical pain often (Gung Hos, Vash, EoM members).

I didn't know where to put these comments but here are extra thoughts:

They're both evidently really good at hiding their pains or any mark of vulnerability. They both could have a hole in their chest and go days without anyone else noticing so long it isn't killing them.

They're both pretty reckless during battle, but I think for Vash, he already tries to avoid violence at all cost and thus, do in a roundabout way lessen his own chance of getting hit in hoping to not stir that violence against another. As a result, I think Wolfwood can be way more reckless and ends up getting hurt more unnecessarily as a result of it.

They both are capable of healing at quick rates so I'm sure that allows the pain to feel more temporary, less of a risk to sustain, and to further hone in not caring too much about getting shot. That only applies for themselves individually though because every time they see each other get hurt, they're always so so worried despite knowing the other will be fine.

i'm pretty sure i repeated myself like 800 times, but i hope this Answered the question SFGMSDKGSMDKH i also tried to be vague enough in my wordings and focus only on the beginning-ish of trimax so to not spoil! i hope u enjoy ur reading of it!!

clover has lived in the apocalypse for far too long. they had begun their journey to the mountain they had heard five children had died at right before it began. theyre scared, they’re alone, and all they want is justice. for themselves? for all the people they see suffering? they don’t know. all they know is the feeling of death crawling up their back and the sensation of something Watching them.

they continue to run away from everything. continue to hide from the monsters and amalgamations of fear that have overtaken everything they used to know (saying everything they used to love would be… a little bit of a stretch for them.)

then they get to mt ebott. that feeling of Death only grows. they have a feeling they won’t survive this fall, or whatever awaits them down there, but it’s easier than dealing with what is happening on the surface.

so, they jump. and they bring the same mentality with them that they had on the surface to the underground: kill or be killed

tldr: clover goes to the underground during the eyepocalypse. The Horrors ensue. in part to them (aren’t clover’s supposed to be a symbol of luck or something? doesn’t seem like it for them)
