How did Treasure Planet manage to come up with the greatest aesthetic in all human history? Victorian elegance plus space-age flair, with just enough dirt and grime and wear and tear to make it feel real? A combination of traditional and computer animation that perfectly embodies the movie's blend of old and futuristic? How does it get any better than that?

He dared to fly high and beyond
With a will that burned hotter than the sun itself
Outstretched his hand
Just to feel a modicum of its light
Longing to possess its brilliance, power, legacy
Enveloped and overwhelmed
His wings of crystals cracked and he fell
Down into the heart of the sea
Just before the tides claimed him
From the skies, came down them
and reached a hand for his.

I know that his arc is going to develop further in the next installment but I'd like to think that he broke down at some point (after his lashing and all that).Ogerpon being the one thing he cared about the most led to a self-sabotage is just sad, cause I relate to him in terms of his personality. I'm usually shy and I have a big hyperfixation on something (well, we all do). But that hyperfixation can get carried away so you need to be careful and sometimes let it go. He first saw Ogerpon as misunderstood, but then his self-projection leads to his view of her as a prize, something that justifies his actions because he was the one who cared in the first place, the one who "knew" the truth, etc.
Others probably stated about this already, but his self-projection on Ogerpon, just overall Ogerpon herself was a bad form of...coping with his social seclusion? No one cared for Ogerpon and so he felt left out because no one he knew shared the same opinion (as well as the chance that he would get rebuked) of her.
One more thing...even though Ogerpon was scared of coming to the village as well as the Loyal Three, she still came to the festival. She was happy and she didn't seem to harbor some grudge. It's almost like she is the foil of Kieran (and Carmine, who eventually overcomes her preconceived views of foreigners).
