Enemy ~Closed RP~
@feirn-vay
Why didn’t he look away, why couldn’t he? That was his friend in the hand of that Titan, his friend who had been cut up and made to be fed to a pure Titan. That was Bertholdt, squirming and struggling as he had no way to free himself, no way to shift. His pleas were falling on deaf ears, or so it seemed. The others simply watched, seemingly as horrified as he was, but none of them could see how much Israel wanted to spring into action, slice the nape of Armin’s titan and rescue Bertholdt.
But he just watched, like he was frozen to the spot. Watching as he was placed in the mouth of the Titan, listening in a frozen stupor. He made eye contact with the warrior, staring into the eyes of a man who was truly afraid, someone who knew he was at the end, and denied it with every fiber of his being. Once the screaming stopped, Israel shuddered, falling to his hands and knees. The others quickly rushed to free Armin from the Titan body, but Israel couldn’t move.
His body rejected the string of emotions flowing through him, and spit it up in a physical form, leaving Israel breathing heavy and shuddering, eyes watering as the stomach acid escaped him. That was his friend, his ally. He had watched him die without doing a damn thing about it. How many people was he going to let die to keep his own secret. How many more times was he going to let himself be controlled by his fear.

After calming himself down and taking time to breathe he made his way up the wall, finding Armin laying with the others, unconscious. He stayed well away from them all. A boiling hatred built in his gut for the blonde. He shook his head, freeing his head of the homicidal thoughts flowing through his mind. He took the time to sit himself down at the edge of the wall. He had more pressing matters to worry about. Eren, Mikasa, Levi, and Hanji were about to head to Eren’s old home, and what they’d find down there frightened Israel. What secrets would they unveil down there? What would this mean for him?

"You're right, Armin. We'll just have to make due with what we have for now. We'll make progress on getting it all written down eventually." She noticed the object by his ankles. As he reacted to it's touch, she moved towards it and without hesitation picked it up with bare hands. It did look like some sort of fruit, but decided to not to eat it. Instead holding it up to her nose. It...smelled terrible. Like rotten eggs. Perhaps it would be best not to actually consume it.
“Ugh...not exactly something most people would find pleasant as far as scent goes, but I’ll have to study it more to see what use it can be for us.” Seeing that the stuff was a relatively common sight on the shore, she had no issues throwing it back into the water. “Heh, it’s possible that the sea has no bottom and it’s depths might never be fully explored within our lifetime.”
Lifetime. Come to think of it, Armin himself now didn’t have much time left, did he? Ever since he took the Colossal Titan, his days were numbered no greater than thirteen years.

Starter for @feirn-vay
Hange had been scouting ahead for a good few hours now. The rest of the team had secured the street, cleared the apartment complex of any remaining bodies and set up camp. The rest of the squad were no doubt setting up a perimeter, but Hange went off to check the next block alone, determined to find a fresh specimen for their research. Afterall, what good was a zombie infestation if they couldn’t use it to find a cure to this pandemic?
Despite their usefullness at firearms and tactical planning, research was Hange’s real advantage in this war. After spending the first few weeks during the outbreak held up in the high school they used to teach at, Hange and a few other faculty members made a plan to go out and gather food and medical supplies for the children. A few of the older one’s volunteered to go with them and armed themselves with hockey sticks and baseball bats. They lost a good few kids that day. And the day after that. And the day after that. Eventually it became too dangerous to squat in one place for too long, so they made the tough decision to venture outside and travel North to see what had became of the rest of humanity.
How long ago had that been since that day? Weeks? Months? Years? Didn’t matter, their numbers kept falling and Hange hacked down any zombie they could cut into pieces, remembering each gifted pupil who didn’t get to live to see tomorrow. It brought no satisfcation or justice. Only more death and decay.
Then they reached their first enclosure and actual real people. The rest of humanity was divided but they were still out there. Still surviving and building settlements. Hope sparking in Hange, Hange vowed to work along side the other survivors to find a cure and restore humanity.
“Found one.”

Levi might complain about Hange’s forgetfullness to shower whenever possible, but the ordour and bacteria from the nine day old shirt proved to be very helpful in hiding the fresh scent of human flesh. Sensing movement from one of the empty buildings, Hange pulled their hood up and blended in with the shadows. The target was shorter than themselves but at this distance it was near impossible to determine any facial features.
Hange drew a knife. No point using loud weapons. Don’t want to attract any attention if they were moving in pacts. Just needed to get close enough to pin this one down and muzzle it before it could bite.
Closer. Closer. Closer.
And strike!
“Wait, you’re not a zombie. Unless there’s now a deviant kind that are actually intelligent and still look fresh. Which would be very beneficial to me if you were by the way.”
