ok i am actually going to rerun the poll i had on this post bc i think the timeframe was way too short and im still curious.

this time i'm going to include code screenshots of the differences in dialogue (under the cut to avoid clogging dashes, and in case anyone would rather avoid spoiling it) please refer to that if u need to clarify which one u got.

and as i mentioned last time, remember to choose either the one that aligns with your first playthrough, or the one that aligns with what you got after the last time you reset felix's route (via the "Reset Felix's Route" button) because for choices that have effects across multiple chapters, the game only remembers the choices you made the first time or after a reset!

DISCLAIMER: these are not actual screenshots of the direct code—the reason for this is because the method i use to access the code does not lend itself to screenshots (or easy readability for that matter.) These screenshots are essentially code translations I've written to make them readable. However all dialogue is copy and pasted verbatim.

(also i should issue a correction on the previous post because I got my wires crossed originally: if the player saves the spirit and is on track for reversed, MC does still offer to heal Felix, but doesn't insist on it like they do in the upright version of events. I've edited the original post to reflect this but it might still have the error in some reblogs)

Could I please get a HC for Felix from Last legacy for an MC who when they first woke up there had unnaturally colored hair (blue if I'm being self-indulgent or basic F/C if non descriptive.)

How Felix would react to MC's hair color fading and maybe him helping them dye it again.

For starters, I'm going to take a slightly unique angle on this and assume that hair color changing is not that unusual in Astraea. Sure, one could argue that Rime's strawberry pink hair is as natural as his antlers, but what about Anisa? Her mother's hair appears to be solid, yet she's got those lovely streaks in her hair. So it's possible, however... I'm going to say that it isn't dye, but magic.

Imagine salons employing mages who can color your hair instantly, along with other feats, such as causing it to grow out instantly when you've tired of a short haircut. Or salons with a host of magical potions in stock that can be applied to your hair similarly to our dye and instantly causes the color to change! I imagine this is a bit more expensive than just getting a haircut, though, which might be a good way to explain the lack of such vibrant colors in Astraea - most people cannot afford it, or maybe can't access any salons with such options. Or mayhaps it's simply more common than we were led to believe!

For funsies, I'm going to say that Felix's hair is naturally a much duller shade of brown, but during his early teenage years he experimented with spells and potions to color it a bright purple to scandalize Escell, but it didn't quite work, so now it's just... got this purpleish hue to it.

It might So when you turn up with colored hair, it's the least of anyone's concerns. Forget your hair, they want to know where you came from, how you ended up here, and how to get you home!

But the thing about magically colored hair is that it doesn't quite suffer the same phases as our dye. It's either fully permanent, if one could pay enough or find a talented enough mage, or it simply fades away like magic and leaves your natural color behind. But this... this is different. The color fades, and your roots begin to show through as your hair grows out, and no one's ever seen anything quite like it before.

Once Felix finally notices, oblivious little dork that he is, his first instinct is that something is wrong - he skips straight over the possibility that you might be sick, as Sage would surely suggest, and instantly fears corruption. If magic is the thing that colors hair, then surely it must be the cause of strangely un-coloring hair as well. Think of it as an allergic reaction, of sorts; right as you start learning how to perform magic and becoming more and more proficient with it, your vibrant hair seems to wither and become dull.

It's Felix, so... he probably doesn't bring it up immediately. Instead, this loveable idiot decides to fix the problem himself, and tries dissuading you from using magic. The sudden 180 from encouraging you to study the heaviest tomes and practice until you're utterly exhausted to trying to talk you out of doing those exact things is... concerning, to say the least, and you're not that easily convinced.

One way or another, it comes out, whether it's you confronting him, Felix spilling his concerns on his own, or some knightly intervention from Anisa. You explain that your hair is dyed, and Felix freezes, assuming you meant, you know... died. Hopefully you'll explain the difference to him before he launches into a tangent of apologies.

Once he understands, however, he's on a quest to renew your hair for you. He either attempts it himself - which, as mentioned, might not have the best outcome - or he takes you to the best salon in Porrima to have your hair professionally done by a proper mage who can ensure the color will never fade again, unless of course you want a different color.

Felix said to Annie that to get MC back to Earth faster, they would need Sage...

How... can Sage help them, in getting MC back to Earth?

I highly doubt that Felix originally planned to discuss scientifically magical ways to transcend realms with Sage...

Or does it have to do with Sage's terrible magical abilities that Felix mocks but that we never see in the game? Is it about the dragon that's on the game poster in the intro, and has something to do with Sage's dad (who was mentioned in the 2truths1lie game)? Even though dragons supposedly haven't been seen alive in a long long time...? And if it's that then how the heck and how much would Felix know about this for him to suggest this??

A Night To Remember

Pairing(s): Felix Escellun x Gn!Reader (referred to as mc)

Yes I did name it after Laufeys & beabadoobees song | Also I’m aware this is painfully similar to the last chapter but I couldn’t find any better event in the timeline to apply this scenario

It wasn’t a particularly good night, I mean so much chaos had happened.

Not only did Felix not have the ability to do magic anymore, but his father just made it worse.

Luckily he wasn’t as bad but his presence was still insufferable to both you and Felix. Not to mention the obvious disgust Felix would paint on his face whenever he’d see his father, mostly because of how close he was to killing you.

You opened the door to his room with a creak, studying everything you could became a nightly routine. You could tell how exhausted Felix was, especially since it’s barely been 2 days since the events had conspired.

“Hey” you sat down next to Felix, who was slumped down on the ground with his head hung in between his knees.

He grumbled but ultimately lifted his head and let out a sigh,” what is it?”

“Why don’t we stop for today? “ he immediately jolted “-and before you can protest, I’m tired and I’d rather have you there with me..ok?” You knew he’d most likely reject the idea of giving up if you weren’t the reason.

You could tell he was thinking of a smart retort before his shoulders slumped and he just nodded in defeat.

You couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face and you hugged Felix in gratitude to his compliance.

You and Felix ended up settled in bed, and although this was initially your idea… it was admittedly kinda awkward since you weren’t exactly sleepy anymore.

Felix’s sudden outburst of laughter brought you out of your thoughts. “What? What are you laughing at?” You said almost pouting.

“No, nothing at all but the fact that you brought me here without any other thought to what we’d do next, it’s almost like… you wanted me for something.” You could sense Felix’s flirty teasing from a mile away and you honestly couldn’t help but indulge.

“Annnnd what if I did? What then?” You leaned in and as fast as Felix’s bold side slept out, it seemed to disappear.

A blush instantly took its spot across his face and now it was your turn to laugh. Despite this fun moment, things returned back to that awkward silence that you hated so much.

And as did that expression on Felix’s face, the expression that told you everything you needed to know. You instantly reached and cradled Felix’s head into your arms. You felt his entire body tense but eventually fill with ease.

“I know it’s difficult for you now that you got stripped of your magic” he let out a laugh and something you only managed to hear because of your close proximity, “yes, I’ve noticed.”

It wasn’t rare for Felix to retort with passive aggressive comments nowadays but it didn’t stop you from feeling just a little bit hurt.

You leaned away from Felix so that you could see his face. Obvious regret on his face and eventually he just sighed and looked at you face on.

“I-I’m sorry, I know Im being difficult even if I don’t mean to” his eyebrows furrowed and he looked anywhere but you.

“im… being a brat” he pauses and almost lets out a bitter laugh “I’d understand if you left with zero interest in me anymore.”

This genuinely shocked you “Felix..” your face obviously portraying how you felt you decided to just give Felix the biggest hug ever, at that he let out a surprised whimper.

His arms reached toward your back and returned the hug, but as soon as you hugged him you put distance to look straight at him.

“Felix, I never will get tired of you, or leave, or just go anywhere else. I mean you practically had one of the things that makes up your identity ripped from you- I…I love you too much to let you go…”

You refused to look at him, I mean you just directly professed your love for him! You could clearly see the shock and flush in Felix’s face in your peripheral vision.

“Mc…” before he buried his head in your chest you could distinctly see his bottom lip wobble, even if just a little.

He hugged you in a way that you couldn’t see his face, just so his lips would hover over your ear.

…

“I love you too”

it was a whisper if anything, and you could hear the wobble in it but you loved it all the same.

It came from Felix after all

You began laughing in giddiness and pulled away to attack Felix’s face with seemingly endless kisses.

“M-mc! What are you doing-mnph-“ you abruptly kissed him on his lips and whether if it was to shut him up or to show him you loved him, he’d never know.

You completely dominated the kiss and when you separated, initially to your dismay, Felix then wrapped his hands around your neck and pulled you down. He kissed your nose, cheek, and forehead and lastly your lips.

His cheeks were ablaze but that didn’t stop his boldness

“I’m glad to have you as my partner, mc” he was obviously beyond coherent and his face was hot to the touch but he was still so sweet.

“Me too Felix, even more so than you” you said without thinking. Felix snorted and in usual fashion retorted “well…. I love you most”.

The rest of the night was spent with you tickling, spilling secrets and just lazily kissing. In the end though, you fell asleep with Felix in your arms and he slept as happily and secure more than he ever has.

Due to the difficulties in studying, the roof went badly in the winter and I had to save myself again by going through the Last Legacy.
