it's so funny to me whenever i see people say that Sasuke would've been so much better as a girl and Naruto going through so much lengths to save her would have made more sense than chasing after a male Sasuke, because i know that if Sasuke was a girl, people would've absolutely hated her even more. people would call her a bitch because she is cold and doesn't beat around the bush. people would say Naruto is stupid and a simp for going after a girl who (they think) doesn't give a fuck about him. Sasuke trying to kill Naruto would have invited even more scorn and hatred because people wouldn't see the rivalry between them, instead they just see an ungrateful girl acting horrible to the nice guy who was trying to save her from herself. people would be crying about how they shouldn't end up together because obviously seeing how they've fought, them being together would just result in domestic violence. some incels might even think that going to Orochimaru made her a slut and Naruto deserves a better, more innocent or "pure" girl. if you think the way people would discredit Sasuke, call him weaker than Naruto or say that he lost all his fights, is bad enough, imagine how much worse it will be if Sasuke is a girl. because that's how people usually react to a female character.
