I got rear ended on the highway a few days ago (everyone is okay and safe). I’m mostly fine, but, because I have hEDS, the impact caused some minor joint issues. My right knee got jammed from pressing on the break at the time of the crash and a similar thing happened with my shoulders. My MCP thumb joint got knocked out a bit from holding onto the steering wheel. Thankfully my neck was okay (god bless headrests) and I’ve only had a minor costochondritis flare from the seatbelt pressure.

So here’s your friendly reminder: wear your seatbelt properly and adjust your headrest to an appropriate height for you. Both times my car has been hit I have been so grateful for the existence of seatbelts, even if they can be uncomfy.

I was in a fender bender bcuz I had a doctor appointment somewhere but they just moved the facility someplace else and I forgot about that as I was on my way there, so I had to stop and turn around.I chose a combination bank/dentist office cuz it had a big driveway, I remember slowly braking and turning my blinker on, but I saw a truck behind me in my rear-view mirror that didn't look like it was gonna stop so I tried to turn into the right lane but he still hit me.

I had an anxiety attack because I didn't know what to do. I thought the guy in the truck would get pissed and I thought my parents would be pissed as well. I ended up calling my mom and while she was on her way there, this very nice lady tried to talk to me. She told me her name and she offered to come in my car and talk to me, seeing that I was very distressed. I let her in and she asked me questions like "are you okay?" (I was) and after she called 911, I told her I called my mom and thought my parents would be upset. She asked "is your relationship with your parents good?" (I said it was all right) The whole time she was rubbing behind my left shoulder, trying to assure me that everything would be fine, and that I'm fine. While I wasn't physically hurt, I was emotionally hurt because I didn't know what was gonna happen, and I'm already in the middle of a depressive/anxious episode, so getting hit by a company truck obviously made it worse.

Eventually my mom came and she wasn't upset, she tried to comfort me as well. The police came, asked us questions, and we gave them proof of insurance, and then my mom and I left in my wrecked car. Pretty much everything except the bumper and my trunk are fine. I kinda we can get money for a new car. I've never had this happen to me before, so I don't know how it works. But bless that super nice lady who was waiting for her kid at his dentist appointment.

The other two movies that I watched (and have never heard of until now) are 'The Prowler' 1980 and 'Fender Bender' 2015.

The Prowler is a pretty decent movie though it didn't really click for me, but I did like the slasher's clothing choice. Additionally, they had a band playing in the movie with two great songs that only lasts seconds, and one of them reminded me of Michael.

I tried researching the band, the lyrics, soundtracks and to my dismay I couldn't find the full songs (。•́︿•̀。)

BUT!

I do have the lyrics for the one that reminded me of him and it goes like this:

"Can't take this no more, but I wanna see blood on the floor.

Standing in the spotlight I hope I can see her bleed.

I want to see her bleed.

Don't turn off the spotlight I still want to see her bleed."

As for 'Fender Bender' I quite liked it! It's creepy because it's plot is most likely to occur in real life to anyone with a car, plus the slasher wasn't so bad...to look at (˵ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°˵)

His clothing selection really did it for me and some of his choices in the movie really got a good laugh outta me too.

I would recommend both to anyone who's looking for something new to watch, and who knows...you may like them more than me!

Zero days without an incident. Somehow the garage door didn’t open all the way this morning when I was trying to be on time for work. So now I’m late for work and my car is going to let in the rain.
