My entry for the @far-side-skies oc bird, I had wanted to participate so much but for one reason or another I couldn't, I hope to be able to participate in future contests. I have been very inspired, well here is the info.

Name: Kirie

Age: 15 years

Race: Human

Height and weight: 1.62m 58kg

Terra of Origin: Sama, One of many terras that was thought to be uninhabited, but with a warm climate and good resources, mainly raw crystal mines, being invaded first by the Raptors but in the end being part of the Cyclonian territory.

Occupation/Position: Talon

Squad: Cyclonians

Description of his personality: Having the character of cheerfully obnoxious, dedicated, joker, he was a person who could relax the environment when they were not on duty, being a good companion but his high loyalty to Cyclonia became too dense to the point of going out of his way for the ideals.

Right now it's Almighty ~Kamen no Yakusoku~. Idk I just really enjoy it, and I can't help but sing along every time I listen to it

It's a toss up between A to Z: Gaia Memories of Fate and Be the One, the summer movies for W and Build respectively. If we count crossovers then Heisei Generations Final and Movie War Megamax would be in the mix too

17. If you could cosplay any character, who would it be?

I guess it depends if we're talking the suits or the civilian/everyday outfits.

For the former I'd love to be one of the GoBusters (my fave Sentai) or Shinkengers. As much as I love Kamen Rider I don't think I can pull off their armor tbh, even the ones for lady Riders.

For the latter... I do like the look of those Fenix Tribe uniforms Daiji and Hiromi wore. And the SoL coats, especially Kento's. And Shoutaro's entire wardrobe is my jam. Even the fedoras.

18. If you could meet any actor, who would it be?

I mean... I'd probably be a stammering, blushing mess if I met any actor... but if I had to pick... nggggh... I'm so torn between Renn Kiriyama, Atsuhiro Inukai, Ryo Aoki and Junya Komatsu. Aka all the ones I've simped for lmao

19. If you could go back and change one show, what would you change?

Zi-O, so that the whole timeline erasing thing happened throughout or didn't happen at all. Basically just making that part consistent for the entire show.

Okay, so, once more, we have a Vistamp that’s surfaced which, apparently, George had no part in making…delivered by a supposed Fenix Tribe agent…is this the work of Weekend? Or is there ANOTHER side to this struggle making its debut?

Or, and this is a theory, the Rolling Vistamp was made by someone else within Fenix, looking to progress the Demon agenda…

Either way, Now Ikki’s a ghosty, and Vice is rolling wild!

Also, Jack Revice is a sweet design. Makes me think elements of FangJoker from W, but also Hazard Trigger forms from Build.

Sorcellerie & Milieu LGBT+

J'ai pu remarqué, au fil du temps, que le milieu LGBT+ / queer avait un certain penchant pour l'ésotérisme et la sorcellerie ! ;) Et je crois que ça relève plus d'un véritable fait de société que d'une simple coïncidence.

Explication.

Ce constat remonte à deux-trois ans environ, et prend racine sur Okcupid (site de rencontre américain mais avec une bonne communauté française ET queer, car le site est plus inclusif que ceux français). Je m'y étais inscrit-e pour rencontrer d'autres personnes lgbt+, parce que voilà, quand on vit à cishet-land au quotidien, c'est pas toujours simple de décrocher un rencard. À ma grande surprise, beaucoup de gens écrivaient dans leur profil qu'iels pratiquaient la sorcellerie, étaient païen-ne-s. (De mon côté, je préférais garder ça secret, je ne pensais pas qu'on pouvait l'afficher aussi ostensiblement). Toutes ces personnes étaient soit féministes, soit lgbt+, et très souvent les deux. Mais est-ce que tout ceci était lié ?

Le milieu militant ET les sorcières ont beaucoup de choses en commun.

En témoignent ces photos issues de manifestations des “Witch Bloc” - notamment le Witch Bloc Paname, à ma connaissance le seul actif en France pour le moment, contrairement aux USA où ils sont plus nombreux.

Je sais pas vous, mais moi, ces pancartes, elles me font chaud au coeur.

A l’origine d’un activisme queer & ésotérique

Le système vous rabache en permanence que ce qui est "normal", c'est d'être hétéro, c'est d'être cis. Tout a été conçu pour les personnes cishet, pour leur épanouissement social. On les voit dans tous les médias, ils sont les protagonistes principaux de la majorité des oeuvres de fiction, ils sont majoritaires à la tête des gouvernements et positions sociales "importantes".

Notre société occidentale leur appartient.  Pas parce qu'ils sont meilleurs ou plus équilibrés hein. Parce qu'ils sont suffisamment bien représentés dans notre société pour savoir qu'ils y ont leur place, et qu'ils ont des possibilités d'évoluer.

La représentation est un critère essentiel pour bien vivre sa sexualité et son identité de genre. C'est parce qu'on est représenté dans la société, qu'on a des modèles à qui s'identifier, qu'on peut se dire "je ne suis pas seul-e ou anormal-e, il y en a d'autres comme moi", qu'on grandit avec des repères, qu'on est informé tout simplement.

A l'arrivée de l'adolescence, vos parents vous demandent : "alors, t'as une chérie ?" si vous êtes né-e-s avec un pénis, ou "c'est qui ton amoureux ?" si vous êtes né-e-s avec un vagin... Quand votre entourage s'attend à ce que vous soyez avec un certain type de personne à cause de votre sexe, cela s'appelle l'hétéronormativité. Penser que les gens sont hétéros par défaut, c’est là exactement le genre de fausse croyance qui amène à considérer que les personnes LGBT+ sont déviants, qu'ils l'ont choisi, ou alors qu'ils ont du être "traumatisés" pour être comme ça (rendez-vous compte, ils ont dévié du droit chemin quand même...).

Idem quand vous êtes transgenres (binaire ou non-binaire), et que les gens pensent naturellement que vous êtes le genre indiqué sur votre carte d'identité, car la société l'a décrété sur la base de vos organes génitaux, et que vous avez donc à vous conformer à une certaine manière d'être, de penser et d'agir (en accord avec tout le bullshit de l'éducation genrée, évidemment). On est là en flagrant délit de cisnormativité, ou “cissexisme”.

Quand vous êtes du LGBT+ Crew, c'est comme si le système vous mettez des bâtons dans les roues, sans cesse. Là où c'est simple et évident pour tous les cishet, il vous faudra batailler, ramer un peu plus, vous battre pour votre place, car le respect ne vous sera pas acquis d'office. Parfois, vous serez confrontés à des rejets terribles et injustes.

Alors au nom de quoi, au vu de ce background compliqué, les personnes queer se tournent-elles plus fréquemment vers l'ésotérisme que les personnes cishet ?

La sorcellerie, c'est le moyen que la plupart ont trouvé pour réaffirmer leurs droits, pour revendiquer la place qui leur est due dans la société. De base, c'est une pratique qui s'adresse à tout le monde, sans distinction de race, de sexe, de genre, d'orientation, de classe, etc... Au delà de son critère inclusif, elle s'impose comme un moyen d'empowering certain, comme une alliée dans la vie de tous les jours.

Là où la société vous ralentit, elle vous rend acteur-rice-s de vos propres vies. Quand les autres vous rejettent ou vous compliquent la vie, elle vous apaise et vous soutient.  Là où vous vous sentez démuni-e-s et impuissant-e-s face aux oppressions systémiques, elle vous donne du pouvoir. Tandis que d'autres vous font vous sentir anormaux, vous pointent du doigt comme une bête de foire, elle vous encourage à aimer et embrasser la personne que vous êtes, dans votre absolue entièreté. Elle vous donne des outils pour vous défendre. Pour vous faire respecter.

La sorcellerie est ce que vous en faites. Elle peut vous permettre de calmer votre dysphorie, de renforcer votre mental et votre patience pour affronter le regard d'autrui. De nombreux groupes facebook permettent aujourd'hui de se retrouver entre pratiquant-e-s LBGT+ ! La sorcellerie rassemble, et de ce fait, elle est un tremplin puissant pour le militantisme queer.

Certes, vous pouvez être cis et hétéro et quand même être versé-e dans l'ésotérisme, je ne prétends pas le contraire. Mais je pense qu'il serait faux de voir l'élan de la communauté LGBT+ pour la magie et l'occultisme comme un pur fruit du hasard.

Pour s'orienter vers ce domaine, il faut forcément avoir déconstruit au préalable beaucoup de son rapport au social, au tangible, se tourner vers l'introspection et une compréhension intuitive du monde, et quoi de mieux que des personnes ayant déconstruit beaucoup de normes sociales - de par le fait qu'iels ne rentraient tout simplement pas dans les petites cases que la société avait bâties pour eux ? Quand votre nature profonde ne correspond pas aux schémas qu'on attend de vous par défaut, alors la définition de votre identité et de toutes les autres strates de votre vie peuvent se développer librement, en dehors des sentiers tout tracés. Et c'est le propre de la pratique de la sorcellerie, il n'y a pas de voie prédéfinie, c'est un sentier spirituel que chacun parcourt à sa manière, avec sa propre histoire dans son baluchon, tel le Mat du tarot de Marseille. ;)

Les arts occultes, étendard des marginaux ?

En somme, la sorcellerie donne du pouvoir aux outsiders, aux oppressés, à tout ceux et celles qui transgressent les normes de l'hétérocispatriarcat par leur simple existence. Elle est une arme de résistance contre l'ordre socio-culturel et normatif en place.

Certes, toutes les pratiques magiques et spirituelles ne sont pas 100% queer friendly : la Wicca reste une pratique très hétérocentrée et binaire, dans laquelle certain-e-s auront du mal à se sentir à l’aise, ou encore le rituel du Hieros Gamos qui est aussi très teinté d'hétérocentrisme... Mais heureusement : chacun est libre de développer sa pratique comme iel l'entend.

Leiftan references (?)

So I was watching some old animes/mangas I was obsessed with when I was a brat and I realized some of them might have been used as plot/character reference for Eldarya (I realized this long ago but anyway). There’s a character that caught my attention ‘cause I thought he might have a similar backstory to Leiftan and this character is...

Yes, Nakago, from Fushigi Yuugi. I don’t know if you’ve watched this anime or remember what the motivations and objectives of this guy were so let me explain. First of all, he’s the main antagonist of the story, the strongest character, one of Seiryuu’s guardians and the main protector of Seiryuu’s priest. He’s manipulative, mysterious and only cares for a few people. During the series, he fights the guardians of Suzaku (the Fenix deity), which are the main characters. So his story goes like this. He was a member of a blond tribe (something very rare in China) and he lived with his mother. People hated them because of their hair color. One day, a group of Seiryuu country soldiers assaulted the tribe and killed everyone. Nakago watched as his mother was raped by some soldiers and, out of rage, he awakened his powers and killed everyone around him, including his mother. He was captured and brought to the emperor as one of Seiryuu’s guardians. Due to his natural beauty and charisma (and him being still very young and traumatized), the emperor sexually abused him many times. His only hope was that one day, some girl would appear and would become Seiryuu’s priest, he’d love and protect her (as he was meant to as a guardian). Not only that, but due to his childhood events, he has hatred for almost anyone, he swears revenge and hopes, one day, he’ll have the power to change everything, which includes killing his own emperor ofc.

Now, I’m not saying Leiftan was raped or that he accidentally killed his mother, but Nakago is a good example of a villain who has the same objective as Leiftan and who has a motive we can empathize with. 

Another character I like to compare with Leiftan is Sesshomaru, from Inuyasha. Both are powerful demons with a moon theme, both have a strong bond with a human even though they hate them.

Well I’ll skip BDBA Nym, Vastrun Nym, and Avandra since I done so much on them. But that’s still over 15 characters, but you did say ‘each’ so here we go. XD

1. Corrine comes from a three generation line of assassins where the mantle is passed down from woman to woman, but Corrine had to be taught by her father due to her mother getting killed on her last contract.

2. Ophidrith was clumsy as hell and served a dragon god who was nearly erased by time.

3. Aviris was a survivor of a town burned down by Mireya Fenix (BDBA campaign) and swore to hunt her down and kill her and had made a pact with Brecilia, one of the three major archfey of Altheon.

4. Akra had a private garden that she always retreated to when she couldn’t stand the prejudice she faced because of her chromatic heritage.

5. Ravena Valespire had no interest in marrying anyone. She would just rather learn magic and hone her abilities.

6. Tau is the reincarnation of her deities’ mortal sibling

7. Nailo is so awkward. She has a -1 in Charisma.

8. Pixie likes to act adorable, disarm people with her charm, but when they piss her off that’s when she decides to rage.

9. Mirabella loves to knit scarves, gloves, mittens, hats, etc and give them to people as tokens of friendship. Some of them she even enchanted.

10. Faye lost her leg in a bad storm and got it replaced with a mechanical one. Went out to secure her family’s fishing ship, got swept off the docks and wedged between the rocks until she was torn off her leg.

11. Trance is in love with an archfey that she performed for during her time in the Feywild (college of Glamour) and speaks highly of her.

12. Spring’s backstory as her tribe’s horizon walker strongly connected to the Ashari without meaning to.

13. Vyldove abhors those with no manners.

14. Hunt is one greedy motherfucker. The more attractive and guarded the place looks, the more she’ll be tempted into breaking in and taking everything.

15. Meliora is in her early to mid-twenties, but you’d never know it because due to a magical mishap she got aged back to childhood, but kept her mentality.

16. Esaveil is a bodyguard for an academy training students in the arcane who had originally grown up in an orphanage after her father passed away and her mother not in the picture.

17. Cantarella is, in a sense, a member of nobility in the fey courts.

18. Rasvimyah is a bard of whispers and one of his parents may in fact be a blue dragon.

As long as I finally started blogging something here, I’m gonna pour out all my StarCraft headcanons at last. Here go all colors of protoss tribes - approximately as I see them, some lore may change later. Almost all lore here is my fantasy. I don’t accept books by Golden as canon.

By the order of the classic rainbow - first com the Ara. Heirs of Khas, dark-grey striped guys dressed in bright red clothes. In my headcanon these guys chose the hottest equatorial regions of Aiur as their territory and lived there for millenia. Their scales colour is great disguise when it comes to hunt in dark shades of jungle. During aeon strife they were desperately fighting with many neighbours, longing to occupy this equatorial grounds, but despite Ara had never been martial, they were genius strategists and diplomats as well, so they established a powerful alliance with the Velari tribe against the other tribes, and after the Khala came around they were chosen as Judicator tribe, from which came many war counselors (including the only ingame Judicator Aldaris), prosecutors, inquisitors, etc. Next ones - I really like how these came out - the Auriga with sand-like skin and bright eyes. This martial tribe occupied wide territories of deserted regions, full of sun and sand, and stood in a permanent conflict with Akilae and Velari, also longing to take their place under neverending sunlight. Aeon strife forged Auriga as mighty warriors and creators of best armors and weapons. At the end of this destructive conflict they became allied with Ara and Velari and the other martial tribes were outnumbered. When Khala unified everyone, the Auriga turned into best soldiers and at the same time best armor engineers, so Khas divided the Auriga in two castes - Templar for the ones with high martial potential, Khalai for the ones physically weaker. This tribe produced not only one of the most loyal warriors of the Conclave, but also the best phase-smiths that eagerly improved protoss weaponry through millenia. I personally refer ingame Karax to be one of them, because I totally can’t see him as a Furinax. Yellow is for Velari. Beautiful sand-people with bright khaydarin-colour eyes and light scales, variating from shades of yellow to almost grey, sometimes covered with stripes, inherited from genetic contacts with other tribes. During the aeon strife they occupied wide territory, neighboring and being in permanent conflict with Akilae, Auriga and Ara. Through these days they did not give themselves into sciences, but practiced multiple combat styles and psi  manipulations, that made them most deadly, when battles on ground occured. By the end of aeon strife Ara forged an alliance with them and started the triumphal move through the deserts that were well known home for all the Velari. Surrender of other tribes was only a question of time. When protoss unified, Velari became proud part of their military forces, and their combat styles became part of all Templar spirits. When protoss developed space travelling, many Velari were eager to be with first explorers, and later they became best pilots among children of Aiur. If I remember things right - the Great Executor Tassadar origins from this tribe (and in SCI we usually play as Velari protoss in campaign), as well as that odd lady Rohana. Green is for Akilae. Inhabitants of subtropical zones, hiding in shadows among the rocks. Almost like Ara, they've adapted to shady yellowish green surrounding of rocks and grass, so colours of their scales variate from light brown to shades of green. Being in the heart of all major conflicts of aeon strife they still had time to develop sciences and philosophy, which was quite inspiring on the battlefields. Being the tribe of mighty warriors, they were also tribe of mathematical genies. When Khala came around, Akilae were determined as Templar tribe, but it occured quite often that their children became great thinkers and were accepted as Judicators. But many of them felt uncomfortable in the great unity, so a lot of Akilae in fact became Dark Templar afterwhile. It seems that in SCII most protoss in our possession belong to this tribe, along with Artanis and Selendis themselves, and I personally refer praetor Fenix to them also. Teal is for Sheddar (what? who? ah, its a tribe from fanon expansion set, if someone recalls). These are peaceful inhabitants of cold swampy misty lands with blue eyes and blue skin. As well as the Venatir they tried to stay away from the others during the aeon strife and took their time to explore properties of plants around them. They succeeded in finding many medicines and creating clothes to protect themselves from surrounding nature. And also - they succeeded in hiding among it. Other tribes just never knew that they were around when they tried to explore their territories. When protoss society became unified with Khala, Sheddar never tried to get any power, prefferring to proceed their peaceful existance and ready to share their practical abilities with the others, so their tribe found itself in the Khalai caste and served mostly as healers, tailors and entertainers. I personally refer poor Lasarra to this tribe - as long as she was able to survive among others on cold planet Kaldir, it seems logical. And here go the blue guys - Sargas, willing inhabitants of the coldest grounds of Aiur. During the aeon strife they were quite far from the main conflict and successfully defended themselves inside their fortifications. They evolved to be strong and brutal like true Spartans, unaccepting weakness among them. Eventually they were neighbours of seemingly fragile, but wise Venatir and, while Venatir did not demonstrate any aggression, offered them protection. That was not a military, but a cultural and practical union, where they shared methods of survival in rigid surroundings. They developed shielding technics and were the first ones to create and use pylons as powerful energy sources, able either to keep them warm, or to charge weapons. When Khala came around, a lot of Sargas reacted very negative and, while Venatir were the main inspirers, they were the main force of those, who opposed the unity, offered by Khas. Almost half of tribe left Aiur at the day of first Dark Templar exile. But those, who stayed, became the most loyal and fierce warriors of Aiur that quickly removed the heretic claim from their tribe.  Violet Furinax, inhabitants of middle continental zones - not too hot, not too warm, but still enough motivating to construct not only defensive walls, but houses with possibility to regulate the conditions depending on period of the year cycle. Their scales variate from shades of grey to lavender violet. Adapting the volatile conditions, Furinax succeeded in creating technologies of matter transformations that then resulted in first materialization matrix and teleports. Khala gave them place among others as the most devoted members of Khalai caste. Many Furinax served among all others as architects, chemists, and then centuries after - warp rifts and space gears specialists. It is ironic there is no brown colour in the rainbow but. Here come the Venatir, gloomy secretive light-brown guys from the north. They were the least successful in tribal wars, so they had to move away from the lands warm and full of light to the cold and gloomy lands with polar nights and northern lights, where noone would follow them. Their scales colour recieved a shade of brown, but is mostly light - like a naked tree. Difficulties of life forced them to develop the technologies faster, so the Venatir became experts in manipulating with energies of khaydarine crystals. Also they've discovered the possibility of unifying their minds in Khala-like web even before Khas made his discovery, that made them the best among all protoss at hiding their thoughts. Their powerful minds conquered them the deserved place among other Judicators. Eventually, that made many of them to become the main ideologists of the Rash Nidal - the first path of darkness, that denied power of Conclave, and when the first dark templar were exiled, a lot of Venatir were among them, so the reputation of the tribe was worse then ever. But still, Venatir became best experts on psi-energy manipulations, mind-melding and astrometric sciences. The colour pattern is never full without black and white. And white is for Shelak. Keepers of the knowledge, meditative highlanders and philosophers. Their scales' colours variate from silvery grey to off-white, sometimes with pale stripes, perfect to hide in rocky grounds. During the aeon strife they used to be the main pretendants to shift Ara from warm and shady jungle, but never succeeded, so they had to stay among the rocks, that surrounded the humid valleys. While not being strong and numerous enough to stand real conflicts, they concentrated in keeping and learning the knowledge of the Xel'Naga and later of all the other tribe, so when the Firstborn were unified with Khala, these Judicator tribe gave way to many historians, librarians and great thinkers. Khas himself, although originated from Ara, spend much time among them, and their high rank in Protoss society was his gratitude. And the last one, black is for Kanimai (what again? yes, again a tribe from expansion set) - tribe, that is actually a mix of Protoss of different tribes, that tried to overcome the major conflict and create a new peaceful unity in the middle of aeon strife. They had to leave the territories of conflicts and move to cold misty mountains on far south, where they had to learn a lot about properties of minerals and surrounding liquids that were not always harmless. Their appearance is variative, cause inside their newly created society occured intensive cultural and genetic mixture. When Khala came around, they were accepted as they were and castes of their children were determined individually, but mostly they were Templar or Khalai. Despite such controversial history, Kanimai proceeded as separate tribe with its specific features. Among them were many of the first explorers and colonists, resources developers and nexus operators.
