Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Review

scent & shade

the fenty gloss bomb in the shade fenty glow is definitely a staple for me. in fact, it’s one of the only products i’ve repurchased more than once since i only began getting into makeup a few years ago. it’s marketed as being ‘universal,’ and while that’s almost never true of any product, i feel like this is about as close to universal as a lip gloss can get. it just really does look flattering on everyone!

the gloss has a unique scent; sort of sweet but not that cupcake-y smell that a lot of beauty products overwhelm us with. the gloss bomb has more of a fruity-sweet scent, almost like a fruit-flavored chewing gum. also, it does have shimmer in it, but definitely no beady, chunky glitter anywhere in sight, thank god.

i haven’t tried the other two shades of the fenty gloss bomb, only the original fenty glow, because tbh i’ve just never felt compelled to stray from what i know and love already. i don’t know if i’d call this my all-time favorite lip gloss, because i can’t forget my other loves like the pat mcgrath labs lust glosses or the glossier clear gloss, but it’s definitely not bad at all and i’d recommend it to anyone looking for a great ‘universal’ lip gloss.

size & price

one more thing i’d like to note, is that the tube this gloss comes in isn’t long and thin like a lot of glosses, but pretty short and fat instead. which is fine, or so i thought until i realized i seem to run through the fenty gloss bomb much faster than i do any other lip gloss. maybe it’s all chalked up to the fact that i do use it pretty frequently, but i have a feeling there’s more to it than that. thankfully, it’s pretty averagely priced at $18, so i don’t feel super guilty when i have to repurchase. 😉

Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty line has been killing the game! The first product from the Fenty Beauty line that I purchased was the “Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear” and I absolutely love it. Although, I don’t wear foundation everyday, it never disappoints me when I decide to wear it.
