Review: This is an anthology novel featuring varying stories written by multiple authors and featuring characters that are all at a juvenile corrections wilderness camp. I had thought this could be an interesting concept and yet it fell flat to me. I appreciated that each character was written by a separate author and it certainly allowed me to find some writer's whose individual works I'll be checking out, but overall because of this it felt disjointed. Each story is really why one of the characters is at the camp however sprinkled throughout are asides of what is going on at present for the characters who are on their last test before returning home. Sometimes I really just wanted to focus on the present not the past because there'd be these offhanded comments about something occurring that was simply brushed off. It felt rushed, and I think had there been more collaboration outside of just the main stories, this could have been a longer novel with more risks for each character.
