This was a huge project to take on, but I finally wanted to dedicate a big piece to one of my favourite characters of all time - Ike means a lot to me and I love him dearly!
Also doing fake movie posters is fun >:)
You can get prints of this on my Etsy!

Doing a bit more background experiments with this one. I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out! (Just... don't look too hard at the perspective... it makes zero sense.)

Album Review: FERD - Feelin’ Like the Wind
Under-produced and rootsy, FERD’s debut album sounds as if it was recorded in someone’s back yard.
It’s part of the charm of this LP by the trio of former Hackensaw Boys fiddler Ferd Moyse, banjoist Matt Morelock and upright bassist Chris Stevens. Add in Moyse’s foot percussion on bass drum and tambourine and former Carolina Chocolate Drop Leyla McCalla’s cello on four of the 10 tracks and Feelin’ Like the Wind is a down-home hoedown on wax.
This is raw, uncomplicated music that reaches its apex on the lone instrumental (“Blues a Bébé”) as a Jew’s harp, Moyse’s ramshackle percussion and McCalla’s cello create a cacophonous celebration of complex simplicity.
The LP ends with the dissertation on recidivism that is “Revolving Door.” It at first sounds as carefree as tracks like “Ain’t Gonna Worry” and “Classic Beauty,” but FERD manages to sneak in a bit of seriousness amid all the fun.
Grade card: FERD - Feelin’ Like the Wind - B+

I come forth bearing the joyous news of another absolutely perfect bird fanfic that my beloved bestie @fideliahoney has published. Of course I had to draw for it in tandem with her writing process, because how could I not when it dips into my favourite guilty pleasure rarepair that is Tibarn/Naesala.
Please go read it on Ao3 if you like crack with sexy birds treated seriously that also involves Naesala having tattoos

Ferd left a covered dish of thick honeyed brownies outside Charles' door in the morning before he went off for the rest of his day;; fresh and sweet-smelling,, they had a slightly chewy crust, shielding the fragrant insides,,.
Charles was surprised at finding the delicious-looking brownies outside his door. He smiled, and picked the plate of brownies up. They must be from Ferd, in thanks for Charles giving him the teddy bear. He brought the brownies inside and put them in the refrigerator for later, after assuring they were not steaming hot.
